They had a great selection available, although only a few pairs were in my size. The prices were fantastic too -- about 30% off MSRP, which made the trip even better. After finding the flip flops, I took a quick lap around the store and found several other great deals. They had Ray-Ban sunglasses marked down around 50% off MSRP along with a solid selection of name-brand health and beauty products at discounted prices. Nordstrom Rack is definitely one of those stores where it pays to spend some time searching through the racks. If you're willing to browse a bit, you can find some seriously good deals on quality brands. The store itself was clean, organized, and easy to shop. Evelyn provided excellent customer service during checkout and made the experience even better. Plenty of free parking outside as well.

We have typically enjoyed going to the Dollar Tree next to Target, though we recently went on a date night to this new Dollar Tree, and it sure impressed us! We have been back a few times for random items most recently this evening when I ran in to find a single item. I'm pleased to share it was very easy to find. This store clearly has everything we would need in stock. It has a huge selection of common and uncommon items alike. The staff are kind and considerate and even say hello to every customer entering the store, and the lines do not seem to be too long at any given time. My favorite one-off items here and there that I would go to Dollar Tree for are blown-up balloons (birthday, anniversary, congratulations, get well), kitchen products including aluminum foil, plastic tablecloths, and name tags. Every time I visit, I find a new item I never would have thought of looking for. There is also a seasonal item section which always has something fun for friends, family, work, or myself (or my wife, of course). It's easy to spend too much or to find a gift for practically anyone. The strangest thing (that makes sense now as I think about it) is that the Dollar Tree carts are unable to leave the store. They have poles in them that keeps them from being able to go out the front door. That means that the carts can be used in the store but you are on your own to get items from the store to your car nearby. At least they have a lot of the carts right when you enter the store. Then again, if there are nearby stores with carts, you can always try to borrow one of those to take into Dollar Tree and then back out to your car. This location has great staff and the customers are rather courteous. It is ironically just across the street from an older and smaller Dollar Tree. The size of this Dollar Tree though is significantly larger. They also have a larger selection of items. Oh, and technically, the store should now be called $1.25 Tree...

Alexandrea Collections at 44th & Camelback has always been one of my favorite places to shop. It's within walking distance of my home, the store is lovely, and it's my go-to spot for gifts. The staff has always been friendly, which makes this experience even more disappointing. Before Christmas, my mom and I came in and purchased over ten gifts for family and friends. Unfortunately, one of the necklaces we purchased turned out to be broken. When I returned to the store, my full intention was simply to exchange it. However, before I even explained the situation, I was immediately told that returns were not allowed and that I could only exchange the item or receive store credit. I then showed my receipt and asked a simple question: if a product is damaged or broken at the time of purchase, is the customer still unable to receive a refund? I was told yes. I expressed that I felt this was unfair, especially since the item was sold damaged, and I was told that this was store policy after the owner was contacted. While I did exchange the necklace (and even paid $12 more for a replacement), the situation left me feeling very upset and unheard. I fully understand and respect store policies, and I am not someone who tries to bend rules. That said, I believe customer satisfaction matters, especially when the issue is the result of a damaged product being sold. I truly hate writing this because I love supporting local businesses, but I do feel it's important to share my experience. In situations where the store is responsible for selling damaged merchandise, I believe a full refund should be an option. Sadly, because of how this was handled, I don't feel comfortable shopping here again.
