To start off, I have gone to this target for years now and every time I arrive it is an ok experience. The workers are ok but most of the time are not the most helpful but it's alright. Today a few friends walked in looking for a Megan Moroney hoodie. On the store website it says in stock at this target. After walking in and looking it was nowhere to be seen. I can understand if it had its own section but it was genuinely nowhere. After asking five workers to help look for it, they all gave the same response of it's not in stock. No disrespect, but the workers were utterly clueless, which is not ok. I don't expect them to know absolutely everything in stock, but there would only be one maybe two real sections of the hoodies. Wow - this is the largest Target I've been to! After dropping my son off for a nearby pickleball training, I had some time on my hands and figured I'd run into Target to pick up a few items. I ended up walking around the store a bit and browsing. I found items like a mini ice cream maker, waffle maker, rice cooker, kids bedding and pillows, books, groceries, and so much more. I was proud of myself for not purchasing all of these things and just walking out with a tad bit more than I went in for... huge win, right?! It's worth mentioning that there is a large Starbucks inside and also a water fountain to refill water bottles near the checkout. The only negatives: -The bathroom was not the cleanest when I was there. - One of the grocery items I was seeking (mini bagels for my daughter) was not available Everything else was well stocked, the store seemed clean, it's a large parking lot, etc... I chose to check out with a staff member vs self checkout and the service was efficient and super friendly. Items are constantly in the wrong spot. And when trying to make a purchase of the item, provided a response that Target just hired a bunch of people. So Targets lack of training becomes the consumers problem. I am going to begin posting all of items that are in their incorrect home here - along with sharing is the price was honored. VIcki C., the Store Director at this Target, is unprofessional and uncourtes, and this has not been my experience with this target. LONG story short, they were supposed to honor - per policy a discount on a large item $ wise. My first trip I was guaranteed $100 off (the cost of the price match, so they weren't 'losing any money' and a $25 gift certificate for my inconvenience. 4 trips later, I am only getting $50 off my item with no $25 gift card. I was disrespected for many reasons 1. the original offer was not honored and 2. The store Director, Vicki, did not speak to me on the phone directly not did she come see me face to face in the store. I have receipt to prove it but they get a little convoluted. How disappointing for a "do-gooder" store to reneg on a deal. 2 points because most of the other staff was lovely and just trying to to help. read more

I will not be returning to this post-apocalyptic Target. Bare, nearly empty shelves. Please tell me exactly what I can even buy here when so many shelves snd racks have no products to buy???? Terrible selection of hair dye. Ended up going to Sally Beauty. Everything is disorganized, messy and items strewn on the floor. Yet there's TONS of employees in sight. Management needs to get their act together and clean this store up. I'm a retail manager and I would be absolutely embarrassed if this was my store. Even if you don't have the product to put out, at least make things presentable. It's unprofessional. Nearly got ran over several times by the people picking curbside pickup orders. Came in for a very specific item that was of course out of stock. It's disappointing because this location is in a great shopping area and has so much potential. Guess I have to go out of my way to go to Tempe Marketplace now. I will say, the Optometry department is FANTASTIC and the only reason I will actually come back. This has been "my" Target for over a decade. Today, I had the worst customer service experience. I was wheeling my incredibly full cart to checkout and the only lanes open at 8:00am three days before Christmas - Self Checkout. I asked the employee (Z because I can't remember her full name) if I should be going through these lanes as they're usually reserved for 10 times or less. Her response was "It's fine. It's too early for me to do this." I'm sorry, what? My cart is full and I do not want to deal with self checkout. I asked "Z" how am I supposed to checkout the large items in the bottom of my cart as I know there are the bag are is weighed. She comes over and proceeds to show me how to scan them with the scanner gun like I'm an idiot and walks away. She then checked out the two customers behind me? They only had a few items each and not a full cart. Not too early to ring them up. Then she proceeds to help two delivery drivers while I stand there because I have gift cards and a few items with no price tag. Z is beyond pleasant and helpful to these people but asks someone else to help me and he just walked away. I finally checkout and then ask for the receipts for the gift cards. Immediately, she was defensive. "Well, they're activated!" Again, like I'm a moron. I've gotten plenty of gift cards that were "activated" and they weren't so... She proceeds to tell me what I should've done while checking out. Are you serious?? I don't work here. I'm not a delivery driver. I'm a customer. I ask her what her issue is and she starts arguing with me. In line. Wow! I'm kinda shocked to be honest. This whole process took over 15 minutes. It would've taken so much less time to be courteous and do your job. read more

This is still our favorite Target location. Right in the heart of Downtown Phoenix and shopping centers. Stopped here to get little things. Nothing major anytime i shop at Target for small stuff. Young people and staff love their jobs here. Good atmosphere, and store. I will be back again. read more

Stated that a physical ID card is to be present in order to complete a return because it's "required by law". I looked it up online & did not find such law for AZ. If my internet findings are incorrect, I'd love to know the exact quote & reference to view it for myself. Facts are important! They (Martin) really need to be educated on their facts before losing their cool, flipping out, & raising their voice. I highly suggest they be: - Trained on customer service - Customer understanding - Refresher course on harassment - Job description Usually agreeing to higher pay (management team) means, you're able to de-escalate problems with grace to create positive relationships with clients.... This review is for their drive-up service! Wow, I couldn't believe how easy it was! I placed my order on the app (which I love because it remembers past purchases and it's so easy to add things to your cart again, i.e. diapers, regular toiletries, etc.), paid, and it was ready for pickup within 2 hours. There were even special deals for ordering pickup! The only thing that I've noticed is that locations vary on whether or not they allow you to order refrigerated grocery items on the app. I assume this is because of cold storage space. This Target let me order all of the dry goods that I needed, i.e. bread, crackers, tortillas, condiments, etc. but nothing that needed to be refrigerated. The Paradise Valley location did let me order milk, cheese, fruit, etc. So again, it varies! As I was leaving my house, I hit the 'on my way' button and when I arrived, I pulled into a drive-up spot, clicked 'i'm here' they were at my car within 3 minutes! They don't even want you to roll your window down, you just hold your confirmation number up to the window and they'll put your bags right in your trunk or backseat. Yes, please! With another baby on the way and a traveling husband, this service will be so so helpful and it's incredible that there's no extra charge. I will absolutely do this again! read more

this location definitely gets five stars! Everything about this place is really good. Probably the thing that I appreciate the most is how clean the story is. I hate when I go into a public place in the floor is all sticking it seems like there's just a bunch of stuff that has been spilled and not cleaned up by the people that work there. The floors at this location are very clean and it makes you feel comfortable walking in and spending your hard-earned money. They have really good deals on TVs as well. This is my third time buying a television at this location I honestly think their prices are better than Walmart as well which is something that is not always easy. Clothes are scattered all over the floor, the floors are sometimes dirty, shelves need restocking, and sometimes only 2 lanes are open when there are workers hanging around. ** Beware of possible scam** My mother was shopping at this store on 01/10/20. The ATM was down and she was advised by the cashier that she could use the ATM at Fry's. She went to look out the door without realizing that she was still holding a hat that she did not pay for. When she turned around and stepped in the store, an man from loss prevention( Red Headed Man) accused her of stealing. She explained to the man, what the cashier had told her but he refused to listen and forced how into an office with him and his associate. They then proceeded to play good cop, bad cop with my mother. She asked them if she could still purchase the hat because she had the money and they allowed her to purchase the hat. They then asked her to sign a letter and if she refused they would call the cops. What they did not tell her is that signing the note is admitting to stealing and will allow them to file a report against you, they will lead to a $200.00 fee. I went and spoke to management and was told that if a person steals, they can not be allowed back in the store nor would they be allowed to pay for the item. My mother paid for her item and they have a receipt, yet they still forced her to sign a letter and are now trying to charge her a $200.00. I thought that should be proof enough but they still did not do anything to write this wrong. My mother and an elderly disabled women and I would hate to think that this location would be accusing the elderly and trying to scam them out of there hard earned money. I have filed a report with cooperate but I feel this is something that people should be wary of, when shopping at this location. read more

I feel they lied to me saying the toy was discontinued because they didn't want to sell it to me for a lower price. they had it marked as for 59.99. I could tell they were obviously lying to me. The Supervisor said it was discontinued. If that's the case, why am I seeing online that it still being sold? Where is the toy recall? From the parking lot to the store itself this Target is probably the best option for a Target store in Phoenix Metro in my opinion. The parking lot is appropriately sized and never really gets way too busy where you have to park a mile away. The store itself is about the size of an average target, very clean and the staff is friendly and always around every corner to answer a question (very common for Target stores). I love target but this target is a disaster! I recently went to look for a dress for an occasion and grabbed my pics and went to the dressing room. When walking in there was clothes filling the rack and hooks for clothes to be put on, clothes all over the floor and on the stool in the changing room. Not to mention lots of sanitary liners from bathing suits plastered on the wall or on the floor. I then went to look for some shoes and was running over shoes trying to get down the isle, and couldn't even find a pair because all of the shoe boxes were thrown around and in random places. I looked around and didn't look like there was a single responsible person working. Definetly will find a different target even if i have to drive farther. Why does Target get such a bad rap? This Target has recently been remodeled and looks very clean and new inside. They've added a fresh food section and purchased brand new shopping carts. I have to admit, though that I found better discounts at the Walmart down the street. On that note, even though the Walmart down the street from this Target has lower prices on items, one has to weed through the beggars and unattended shopping carts to get to and from the store.... but that's a whole other review. read more

Okay so 1 star right away just for being Target. Add a 2nd star for having a Starbucks and Pizza Hut Express. Add a 3rd star because the store was just remodeled! Add star 4 for having a sizeable grocery section with fresh food! I was gonna give it a solid 4 stars because this Target is fresh, has lots of food choices, a Pharmacy, the great food court with Pizza Hut Express and Starbucks, and plenty of friendly Team Members that have never failed to ask me if I need help, but the fact that this Target is open til 11pm rather than the typical 10pm closing time for Target, that my friends just bought star #5! That extra hour is seriously invaluable seeing as I often get off at 10pm and need to buy groceries and other essentials after work. Add in how incredible the location is with Costco and Fry's in the same lot and I'd give it six stars if I could. Love the Arcadia Target along with the whole shopping corner it's in! read more

This Target has pretty much the same stuff as any other Target. We went in to get a few necessities and snacks. They had 4 self checkouts. They were fast. We were not sure about the limit of disposable plastic bags we could take so we left them alone, but they were available. (Probably should have brought our local tour guide.) read more

I'm very disappointed with the cashier representative that oversees the self-checkout. As I was scanning my items Kathy, I think that was her name as I took a quick glance as to not make it obvious, stands close enough so that she can see my every move. It makes me uncomfortable; because I feel like she's labeling me as a potential thieve, and I don't come to target to be labeled. Kathy is not the only one that does this, probably it's policy to be able to see the customer scan each item, but I feel like this can be done in a more professional manner. There's also cameras set in place already that watch my every move, so why make the customer feel that way?? I'm so disappointed, it never fails to happen every time I go. However, one of the male workers is rude (he walked right in front of my wife and I as we were heading out the other day, never once did he say excuse me) and seems like he hates working here, I do not know his name but he is short and wears glasses.
