Be careful when shopping the clearance section. The staff here appear to frequently mislabel items, and during checkout they manually verify every clearance item against the SKU to confirm the pricing matches. My checkout took much longer than necessary because each clearance item I selected had to be individually checked. After verifying several items, there were only two left in question: an opened and clearly tampered with perfume set, and a set of press-on nails in holiday packaging. I was told both had been incorrectly marked as clearance. When I asked about the pricing, the cashier said, "We can't sell a $15 item for $6," which I understand. However, it was surprising that the damaged and opened perfume set was still considered full price despite its condition. Overall, the interaction left me feeling uncomfortable, as the repeated scrutiny made it seem as though I was being treated with suspicion rather than as a customer simply purchasing marked clearance items. read more

I came here just to check out the selection of Korean beauty products. They had a pretty large variety of the popular brands and relatively low prices compared to big name brand stores like Olive Young. I don't know about the rest of the store but for Korean beauty products, it was a 10/10. read more

This is the best Marshall's I have found in the valley! I am a hello kitty lover and they always have sanrio merch. Decided to stop in after shopping at their competitor's in the same shopping plaza and was underwhelmed. I always want to like this store but end up disappointed. The quality of their merchandise is just not for me. Maybe they need to do a better job of staging? They carry clothes for the entire family, shoes, kitchenware, and also have beauty products. Marshall's is much like neighboring Homegoods, but with the addition of clothing, shoes, accessories and toys. Prices were the same as Homegoods. Being so close together, I wish so many of their home decor items were not so similar. Being owned by the same parent company was glaringly apparent. Not nearly as many carts are available. That may have contributed to the increased maneuverability in the store. I give this location an extra star for ease of getting around and nicer cashiers. read more

I needed to be in Scottsdale and wandered into this Marshall's. The first thing I noticed was the distinctly different selection than other Marshall's in AZ- and I don't really shop too many other places. WOW. The rich really do get the best stuff! I have never seen such an array of expensive and quality items. I even overheard a cashier explain to a customer that this item must be returned with the tags and only this store and one other - couldn't hear which one will take this "high end" item back! Again. Wow. I truly don't know if I should be insulted. Why don't us lesser individuals get such high end stuff?? And I'm talking about Gilbert not Phoenix. C'mon Marshall's. 9:20am on a Monday, i visited the store for a return, the gray haired lady at the register is very moody , clearly she doesn't want to be there, her shift just started! I mean I'm not asking for a hug, but this is the first time I have this kind of experience at Marshall's, usually the employees are nice and helpful. Very special store in that it has a wide variety of merchandise ranging from nice to really nice bridge designer clothing, accessories and household items. What really makes this location special are the people employed here. There is a woman named Mary working in the dressing room area (I hope you are there when she is working) because she is so helpful at offering advice, when asked, about what goes with what and what clothing will optimize your body type, age and overall look. Amazing, like shopping at a very high-end department store in the past, where they actually helped you! I took in a pair of linen slacks that were difficult to match with tops and she whipped out like five perfect tops in no time to try on with my orphan linens. Wow, is she ever good at this! This store has rather recently started employing these adorable (you want to hug them types) little golden girls women to help out in the line for checkout. "Hello, did you find everything you wanted? May I remove the hangers from your clothes to help you get through checkout faster?" Things like that they say. Adorable and very unique. I'll probably cross that line and have to hug one soon. Cute as hell. The checkout clerks are also awesome and have a personality, whether they are male or female. I feel like they are neighbors, but I do not know any of them outside the store. Today, I had a wonderful checkout experience with a gal whose badge said "Susan P." We exchanged some pleasantries and had a good time for those couple of minutes. I think I'll wait in line for her to help me next time I buy! There is a lot of merchandise at this store, so it can be a bit cramped, but overall the clientele is polite and says "excuse me, may I pass through," when needed. Of course, I want a lot of options and deals, so okay with that. The price you pay for all of this experience is terrific! read more

I am a loyal customer to the marshalls chain . This store was up to my standards and beyond ! Came here with grandma to do some last minute Christmas shopping . They had a full stock of everything you could possibly want to give someone as a gift. I love Marshall's because there items are inexpensive but high quality . Customer service here was awesome . The store was filled with crazy Christmas shoppers but the Marshall's store associates kept there cool and even kept there smiles . Love this Marshalls! Yes, it's a chain and you can find similar brands elsewhere, but this particular location is consistently clean and well-stocked, IMO. Plus I'm a devout shoe-whore and they have an expansive shoe section. This past Saturday, I happened to stumble upon some cute Nikes on clearance for $29. I did notice that this was marked on the sample only and not my size in the box. I was already mentally prepared to be shot down as the price seemed a little too good to be true. I was thinking someone was trying to mess by planting red stickers everywhere, but still worth a shot. I was ready to plead my case to the female Cashier. She listened to my story and went back to check the model. Long story made short, it was by accident. But she did speak w/the floor manager and gave me the exception. As I said in my prior review, I love this store. What I don't love is what I experienced on Saturday (1/13). The cashier was feeling ill, (as told to me), eating a cracker which went into her mouth and then her hands went on my merchandise and subsequently on the bags she used to pack my items. She was very cranky which was understandable if she was feeling that ill. She also said she was trying her best to keeping standing. She did look ill and here's my point. SHE SHOULD BE HOME AND NOT SPREADING GERMS TO HER CO-WORKERS AND TO CUSTOMERS. I took the bags by the bottom because she had not touched the bottoms of the bags as opposed to the top of the bag where her hands touched. Was scared I might catch something in view of the flu epidemic in Arizona. Wish her supervisor had sent her home. read more

I came in looking to pick up some new clothes for work. While checking out there was a problem with the register and a manager had to be called to the front of the store. The manager, Kathy, proceeded to blame me- a customer spending a large amount of money- as I was also doing a return (one item). She was very rude and unprofessional. Horrible customer service from her. And she even berated her employee for making a simple mistake. Marshalls is my go-to for dresses and shoes, and this location does not disappoint. I strolled through last night and was impressed with the shoe department. Usually you'll see the tall shoe racks with random pairs of shoes arranged in order of sizing, but this location has a Shoe Mega Store, which apparently means the shoes are set up DSW style and come in boxes. Shocking! Now I don't have the patience to scour rack after rack for jeans or tops, but it is really easy to go dress and suit shopping here because there are many fewer racks and its pretty easy to see what's what without even touching the hangers. The dress selection here was slim, I will admit, but I found a calvin klein skirt suit that is ADORABLE and happens to look fantastic on me. Can anyone say clearance rack $49? Needless to say I walked out of Marshall's $50 lighter, but also much more stylish. PS: their home goods and lamps are really well priced too, and they have loads of cute pillows. oh Marshall's, I love you. read more

When I shopped at this store I was not that impressed , maybe it's because I went in the evening and the store was a mess with clothes on the floor and it looked unorganized but I do like there selection with there home goods in decorating your home and there are some really wonderful smelling candles . Normally I avoid Marshalls because it always seems way more crowded than a TJ Maxx or Ross. I don't feel like I get to take my time to browse and find treasure, instead being rushed like a Black Friday sale and having to rip something out of another shoppers hands. Luckily, this Marshalls was way more low-key than other ones I've been to. The square footage is pretty large and there is plenty of space for product and customers. They have a lot of clothing with a few home goods items mixed in. I was able to find a nice t-shirt and some dishes. I'd definitely come back if I was in the area and had the time to browse. read more

Best selection out of any Marhsall's in the PHX metropolitan area. I'd swear the items sold here are of higher caliber than other Marshall's by virtue of being in Scottsdale. Household items are high end but it can be like a treasure hunt finding them. Still, it's worth the hunt because you can walk out with high quality merch that costs a fraction it would at other stores. read more

This is one of the better Marshall's around. As discount department stores go, I prefer Marshall's to Ross or TJ Max, the latter of which is a cousin business. I like Steinmart as well but this Marshall's stores is pretty nice with lots of housewares, furniture and of course clothes and a modest collection of men, women and children's shoes. Like stores of this ilk, you won't always find a multitude of sizes and colors for a particular style. Often you will only find one of a kind items or pieces although they do feature many particular things in multiples. The rule of thumb for shopping here is if you see it and THINK you may want it, buy it because you can always return it. If you don't it will likely disappear in the hands of another shopper. Returns and exchanges are effortless and quick. One of our best "finds' her was several pieces of Royal Albert Old Country Rose china which we've never seen again. They were less than half the retail price and a great addition to my wife's collection. This store is located in a large shopping complex with a Steinmart, Ulta, Michael's and a bunch of other box and Mom and Pop stores along with some good restaurants and fast food joints. read more

I am a loyal customer of the Marshall's chain and have been for years. Last week I went shopping at the 90th Street location and found some nice things that I purchased. I decided a few day later that 3 of the items did not fit well and wanted to return them. I returned to the store today (Sunday) much to my surprise I was informed 2 of the items would be accepted but 1 would not be accepted for return. I was informed that the item I purchased at this location was not an item that Marshall's carried! The cashier again repeated that I would not receive credit and the item was handed back to me. I was shocked, I asked how is this even possible! I asked to speak with a manager. It was inferred by the cashier and the manager that I removed the tag and replaced it on another item! I was outraged at this insinuation and asked that they pull the surveillance video for review. They agreed and I left feeling very violated. As I stated to the manager and cashier, I purchased these items from their store in good faith, with their tags on their items. How are we the consumer to know if an item belongs in their store or not? Do we the consumer need to have Marshall's verify the items we are purchasing at the register and confirm them verbally to us? I left my name and phone number with the manager and instructed her to call me once the video was reviewed. I shared with her that I expected them to accept my return after the review of the video, as I was innocent of the accusation. I did receive a call from the manager within 1 hour of leaving the store, saying that I may return the item anytime and an apology. I will return the item and will not be shopping here anytime soon. In all of my years of shopping I have never be accused of stealing! This was a horrible experience and terrible customer service.
