Let me tell you about the boldest pre-trip gamble I've ever taken: placing a Target drive-up order mid-sprint through Terminal 2. Why? Because when I land, I want to be hydrated, fruit-fed, and surrounded by enough snacks to survive an impromptu hotel zombie apocalypse. Now, I'll admit--I was a tad nervous after reading Yelp reviews warning me this Target was the size of a large broom closet. Spoiler: it IS small. Like, "I sneezed and saw the entire inventory" small. But you know what else it is? Mighty. Efficient. And the unsung MVP of my vacation. Despite being fun-sized, they had every item in my mobile order, down to the last bottle of water and that weird protein bar I pretend to like for health reasons. The drive-up was smoother than TSA PreCheck, and I was in and out faster than you can say "Essentials, not souvenirs." Is this Target the place to go if you're looking for a full-blown housewares spree or to get lost in the throw pillow aisle? No. This Target is for mission-focused snack warriors who just landed, need grapes and granola, and have no patience for wandering. Would I come back? Absolutely. This Target is definitely smaller than other targets. Because it's so small, they may not have the items are looking for. If they are restocking shelves or changing seasonal items, it will definitely not have the items are looking for. One huge issue that I discovered at this Target is that they keep that cheaper, Target brand of distilled water on the top shelf. (I need it for my Venus Fly Trap.) I'm guessing they did this so customers could see the more expensive version of distilled water first and find that getting the Target brand not worth the effort. Another issue is their lighting. The atmosphere is almost dank and dark, making me want to leave the store altogether or not come back at all. However, it seems like they may have updated the lighting recently. The service is always decent, so that makes it worth coming here. read more

I came in to the Sugarhouse location and was able to buy some merchandise that had been sold out at other stores! It was pretty great being able to go to every department and pick up exactly what I needed. Everything at great prices. Something else that I appreciate is the organized men's underwear department. I was just at the Fort Inion location where customers have ripped through everything and it's a mess. I really like the orderliness and convenience of the cases. Everything was organized very neatly. Yes, the case was locked so I did need to request an employee BUT that literally only took like 20 seconds for a really polite employee named Levi to show up and get me exactly what I needed. Overall a very nice experience. Five stars, plus more great service at self checkout from a guy named Todd. read more

This isn't my favorite Target to go to. I realize it's a much smaller location, but it doesn't usually have what I come in looking for, so I end up having to go elsewhere. I do like that it's located in the Sugarhouse area, so when I'm there to go to other stores, just in case I want to browse. read more

I wanted to check out the latest Target that came to Sugarhouse. Unfortunately it was under whelming to be said, as the nicest way to survive. I got really claustrophobic in here for some reason. This target is super small compared to others in the SLC area. They lack a lot of things most consumers want, and inventory is low! I guess it's good if you need the basics, but I would save the trip and travel the extra 5 minutes to the Liberty location- the parking is better there, and WAY more to offer. I am so excited to have this neighborhood Target now! Sometimes I want to drive the extra miles to the big one for some browsing and surprises but other days I just want the Target brand sparkling water and some nail polish I love that they have to pick the most popular items to stock here only since it is so small- it really does feel like a "best of" experience. You will quickly figure out when it makes sense to shop here vs the bigger store. The parking here is possibly the worst in town though- the spaces are impossibly small- big downside. read more

Very limited options for food. Definitely not the place to go for anything vegan. Plus it is a very congested area for parking.

This is in the old Nordstrom rack, which was not a large store, hence this is not a large store. In fact, this is by far the smallest Target I've ever been in. I know they're in the process of setting up, but I truly do not understand the motivation of putting this here and then trying to put just a smidge of everything in normal stores in it. If you think this means selection is pretty slight, you'd be right on the money. Aisles are also very narrow, comparatively. Can't imagine I'll ever be going here again, as selection at the larger stores has also been crap lately, but staff was friendly and masked up, so that part is to the good. read more

This Target does not have the absolute best selection compared to a regular sized store or SuperTarget. Imagine it being a step between those small Targets near college campuses and a regular large Target--closer in size to a mini one. Because of this, you cannot expect to have as big of a variety of product. Due to its recent opening, many have shopped here and the shelves are not completely filled up again. That is okay considering the staff is also new. Employees wear masks and have sneeze guards. Hand sanitizer and masks are available at the front door and the greeters are very kind. Kudos to the guy who complimented my partner on the sweatshirt I bought him! Though its small size, they have many specific products that you probably need. The only thing I would say is not really stocked here would be most Frozen Food. read more

Literally only go to this location if you have to. It really is the smallest target I've been in and feels crammed when shopping, but this location looks really good in inside with how new the set up is. I know this isn't a super target, but it was kind of a let down and they had limited products read more

Very limited choices. Customer Servíce not up to par. Asked item question. It was like an act of congress to get an answer. They all looked at each other as if "hmmm i don't know do you?" I spent $200. And I got a "here you go". No thanks for shopping with us. Target should stop catering to its employees and start worrying about its customer base. read more

I went to this location last night with my wife to get some household items as well as some make-up/hygiene products she needed. Without sounding conceited we are a good looking couple. I think it's also fair to say that at a glance you can tell that we are not part of the LDS church. From the moment we walked in we were doggedly followed by employees at first. I'm assuming they reported us to security because soon after their security was following us. We continued to shop like normal. We just moved into a new condo so we needed several household items. Trash can, cleaning products, shower curtains, and the like. I realized that they were set to close in 25 minutes so I suggested we go check out and anything we forgot we could come back and get the next day. The employees at the front were doing their end of day work and did not seem at all eager to help us so we went to the self checkout. One employee and the security guy stood about as close as they could without touching us. Eyeballing every item we scanned as if we were planning on stealing. After several condescending remarks we finished up and paid. Spent nearly 400$. All paid in cash. I quite obviously noticed their look of surprise. I do pretty well and receive a monthly check from my prior service in the military. This whole experience upset my wife very much and angered me as well. We will never return to this location and suggest some training for the employees here on customer service. read more

I've had awesome experiences here until this morning at 8:30. The male associate with the long hair at the pickup desk was so rude that I came in before they bagged up my pickup order. I was polite and happy to wait and he was still snobby. I felt bad for the female worker there, asking to see if I needed help still and trying to make sure I had a good experience. Wanted to leave, but there's a baby formula shortage and it's the only place I finally found some for my little one. read more

Smaller format store. Not the place to go fill a whole apartment for your student. Staff was great. Definitely fine for everyday needs and they have a pharmacy. Grocery selections were pretty good and a cheaper option than Whole Foods. read more

I used to love Target but this Target is a hot mess. The clothing departments are so small there is hardly any selection, which is good because the clothes are tacky. The aisles are too small, there were buckets scattered on the floor to collect drips. I tripped over a huge box in the 'dressing room' area, which is some stalls in the middle of the floor with no particular entry, no attendant and no obvious place to hang unwanted try ons. What an unpleasant shopping experience. I'd fire the store manager. read more
