this review is for their drive-up service. first, the driveup employee ask for my code and told me that my order was not in the system. how the hell can i get a pick up if i'm not in the system??? when she finally found my ordered items, she asked if i want them in the front seat or in the trunk of the car. the app has that as a question in the order, that means she did not read what's in their system. drove back home just to find out that i'm missing an item. drove back out to and went inside store at pickup line to ask for my missing item. again, they said they couldnt find my order. i insisted and they found it and was told i ordered it at at different location; at pacific avenue location (instead of trinity parkway. how could one item get sent to a different location while a dozen other items were collected??? very poor training and supervision. wasted so much time. do yourselves a favor and skip target drive up service. you'll rack more time and super hightened frustration!!! read more

There is a "new policy" instituted "a few weeks ago" which mandates the checking of receipts a-la-Walmart upon exiting the store? (These are direct quotes). My fellow Yelpers, were you aware of this? Neither was I. I'm angry. Really angry and insulted. So angry I'll communicate with corporate about this one. Well attention Target shoppers, read on. Last night, the fiance and I went there after a movie downtown because I needed to pick up a few items on sale. As a ecologically responsible shopper (and now that Target gives 5 cents off per bag) I bring purse-sized tote bags that unfold to full-size in a jiffy. I always hit the food aisle last because I usually have refrigerated and/or frozen items. I started in baby items, then to DVDs, went to electronics to buy some Philips EarBuds on sale for $7.99, the fiance got the dryer sheets and the seltzer and met me in frozen foods. I wanted two packages of frozen chicken breasts, which were on sale for $5.79. They only had one package of tenderloins. An employee (who is a sweetheart, I wish I had her name!) called in a rain-check for me but I had to pick it up in electronics, where she said they could ring up my purchases. Without incident, I gave him my bright florescent orange tote bag which he filled with purchases and he filled two brand-new Target bags, issued my rain-check and I'm off on my merry way. Or so I thought. As I approached the exit, two (NOT one) employees were waiting there for me. WHAT??????? They asked for a receipt. I quipped jokingly "Is this Walmart?" No response. Then I became angry and insulted. I asked when this policy was instituted. One responded the "new policy" was instituted "a few weeks ago." Absolutely incorrect. Erroneous. Have your bags been checked and a receipt demanded upon exit in the past "few weeks?" I don't think so. I have a receipt dated 4/5/10 and no one asked to see my receipt at that time. In fact, I used the same florescent orange tote bag. I just called the store and spoke to Elizabeth, a manager in LP (loss prevention). She reiterated the policy to check bags has always been effect but not implemented due to the previous LP manager's lack of enforcement. However, with the staffing change in LP, these mandates are now being implemented with "big ticket items" which she said constitutes "televisions, electronics, etc." My largest "big ticket item?" Phillips Ear Buds, $7.99. Elizabeth also shared that "exposed merchandise" will also warrant an exit check. "Exposed merchandise?" My florescent orange bag had seltzer and baby food. The other two bags were Target-issued bags filled with the rest of my purchases. A grand total of $39.04. Maybe this egregious display of poor customer service occurred because I bypassed the cash registers up front? There are cameras all over the store and above the cash registers. Surely some underling saw me purchasing my items in electronics? And lastly, there is to be one Target employee stationed at the exit, not two, according to Elizabeth. I spend at least $100 a month at Target in a variety of departments. Never have I been treated in such a way in ANY store. And here's the kicker, thanks to a change in LP management, you too may enjoy the same style of customer service. Does anyone have the number for the ACLU? read more

My mom and I went shopping this afternoon and the register froze while trying to check out with my Target Gift Card. When checking out at a new terminal, the Target Gift Card was not processing. The supervisor who assisted (short blonde haired woman) was very helpful and quickly resolved the issue. I was very impressed with the amazing customer service provided. Thanks Target! read more

I'm so glad this Target opened up in Stockton. It's so much closer to my Dad's house and is usually pretty clean and well stocked. It tends to get pretty busy but it's to be expected - everyone seems to flock to Target...and when isn't a Target busy? Being that I don't live in the area, I love that you can practically go into any Target and find pretty much the same thing in every store. And for the newer one's, their store footprints are practically identical. You don't ever fell lost in one if you're an expert Target shopper. = ) I prefer this new Target over the older one on Pacific Avenue. Much cleaner and larger. Plus, this has a Starbucks inside. I honestly have no problems with this Target except for the fact that it's much farther away from the University of the Pacific campus than the Target on Pacific Ave. Thankfully I have a car and if I have the time, I drive the 8 or so miles up the 5 freeway to go to this location because it's a million times better than the ghetto one back near campus. This Target is in good shape, clean, safe, and has everything you need. Really nothing to complain about! read more

Why does Stockton have 2 Targets?! Anyway, I'm not complaining. I love how I can buy chocolate bars, stylish clothes, pads (sorry, that may be TMI, but whatev), and basically anything else that I could possibly need/want under the sun here! Though, THIS Target in particular....the Target located HELLA on the northside (off of 8 mile), is the better of the two. I remember I was trying to find Jillian Michael's 30 Day Shred at all the Targets near and close to Stockton (including the one in Lathrop) and this Target saved the day. Always fully stocked, extremely neat, clean, and hey...they have a Starbucks here. I mean...COME ON! How could you not like that? I like this Target.. its close, convenient, clean, neat organized, usually not crowded..at least when I go there. I don't do major shopping there but I don't mind wandering around checking out all the neat stuff. I like checking out the back end caps of the isles.. that's where they have their clearance stuff. Sometimes you will find good bargains there. Check out the clearance racks in the clothes sections... you can find some awesome deals there too, IF you can find your size! :) read more

Okay, I'm a fan, but, people that mostly frequent the Pac Ave store....where are your reviews.....I like the whole Trinity Park shopping experience, what's not to like but every time I come this way I feel like I'm cheating on my Ross and Target on Pacific. Hopefully Target will never decide they can dispense with the 1st store they brought to Stockton. A lot a yelpers think the Pac store is ghetto, well, it's not. I'd have to say as far as clothing there is a better and more extensive selection at the Pacific Av store and I am a big fan of Target tees, shorts and pants. Okay, I like both stores but don't tell my #1 Target I check out the #2 store from time to time....really just cuz I'm in the area and it's convenient. read more

Remove the shit out of the middle of the aisles. It is the worse decision ever. Its bad enough people stop and block the main aisles to chit chat. I dont need to see an oversized carry basket and large shelves of stuff you are trying to sale that block the aisle even more. Seems it should be some sort of liability issue. I went in on a Tuesday night and the staff gave me a free bag of popcorn from the concession stand, that was a very nice gesture. I've been using the drive up service from the mobile app and have been delighted with the customer service. The team members I interact with our incredibly helpful and super respectful. Every employee has worn a mask whenever I used to drive a function. I am very satisfied with this target. It is generally very clean and members are helpful. The bathrooms are much cleaner than neighboring stores. I have never had an issue here with a team member or manager. I prefer trinity to the Lodi, Stockton, and Lathrop. read more

I'm a former Target junkie who still struggles with my addiction. There's just something about that red bullseye that warms me to my core. I'm proud to say that I'm down from my sometimes up to four times-weekly shopping trips to just a couple times a month. This store is exceptionally clean, well-stocked, & organized. They have such an extensive array of merchandise; I love being able to buy almost everything I need in just one store. I especially love their shoes (now there's an addiction I haven't been able to tame!). This will always be one of my fave stores to frequent. read more

I stopped going to the other one ever since I found out about this location. The other one is too ghetto now. Hold up, I admit I can get ghetto at times...but, that's a choice. And I choose not to go to the ghetto Target. This location is much cleaner and less crowded. Even with the new remodel, your bathrooms are DISGUSTING! They have been for the last 3 years!!! I'll go 2 days in a row for supplies I need and the bathroom is still in the same mess it was the day before. Walmart's bathrooms are WAY nicer and cleaner. read more

I love THIS Target. Mostly because its so close to my house. I could walk there if I liked to walk, which I don't. Its always clean, I can find what I'm looking for. If I can't find what I'm looking for the staff is very helpful. There SO helpful they will call another store to see if they have what it is you need. I used to work at a Target. I hated doing this but the staff at this store loves to help you. I spend a lot of time in the electronics department and the staff there is cool. Theres a cute girl with blonde and dark brown hair that works in that department. She always looks like shes doing something productive which is great. I get annoyed when I see store employees not working and talking with each other. My friend & I like walking around the store and finding crazy stuff & clearance. I once found a brand new copy of Edward Scissorhands on Blu-Ray for $9! Then a couple weeks ago I picked up FEAR2 for XBOX360 for $12.99. Clearance stuff is located on the back of the aisles. read more

I like this target soo much more than the one on pacific! I drive the extra distance to shop here. It's cleaner, doesn't have sketch ppl in the parking lot, and has shorter lines! All you need is love- in the form of Target! I simply love how spacious this store is! You can navigate the isles with ease, the layout is pretty easy to find items in. The clearance sections always come through for me. The target brands products are exceptional if not equivalent to the brand name stuff. My husband and I go here just to tool around (we prefer it over the mall). I rarely buy products that I end up returning here. The service people are super friendly. Ample and convenient parking spaces. My only very minor pet peeve about living here is that there are no Super Target's around here. I would prefer shopping for food at Target, than Super Walmart. Also, the cafe area needs a little up keep. Every time I go the ICEE machine never works, and there are always flies hanging around there. read more

Terrible service. I was there looking for an ipod with my friend in the electronics department (duh) and we could not get help at all. We stood there waiting while this guy was texting on his phone and pants hanging down to his knees. Then when he got near enough for us to ask him for help he started talking to his 2 co-workers and they were flirting around calling each-other stupid and shit. So this is a review for the in-house (how to be pretentious? follow me!) Starbuck's near the front of the store. Went there recently and ordered the Java Chip Frappucino. Very nice: a little icy, a little ice-creamy. The chips of dark chocolate were just big enough to take awhile to melt in your mouth. The cheap wooden seats, though, left something to be desired...I'm really jonesing (how to be a dork in 3, 2, 1....) for the cushony sofas that the chain used to install in all of its shops as to encourage lingering. Remember chair in the old Barnes & Noble building (now Cost Plus), where they served you coffee in ceramic mugs, and Italian sodas in tall glass um, glasses, so you could see the cream seep in from the top? That's what we need around here again. I'd be happier shopper if they made it that way again. Somehow it's beginning to feel a little like McDonald's.... read more

I always love coming to this Target. Asset Protection is always visible and engaged with the guests, which is good, but not overbearing. It's a big store so you can't expect it to be clean 100% of the time, but there's always room for improvement. This review, however, is due to the excellent service I received from Khelani today. The store was very busy due to it being Easter tomorrow, but she was so willing to go above and beyond in helping me find clothes for my son. She was even able to give a little fashion advice. This is a nice and clean Target for this town! I'm a fan because they actually have stuff here that I don't see in the Target in Elk Grove! I was very surprised that they had a "Collector's World" section that actually sold Funkos. They also had a section that sold cool knick-knacks such as a flask that have the words "I swear this is just water" printed on it. There were a lot of foot traffic but the shelves were kept organized, stocked and clean. I felt safe walking in and out of the parking lot and liked seeing the Girl Scouts telling us to have a good day! This will be my go-to Target if I'm in town from now on! read more

Whenever you bring a reusable bag, Target will credit you 5 cents for each bag. It doesn't have to be a Target bag. Any reusable bag will do. However, you need to constantly remind the checkout clerks to give you this credit since they have a tendency to forget. And this is at both Pacific Ave and the Trinity Parkway stores. read more

Compared to the store in pacific this one is definitely cleaner. The parking lot is also a lot better. Everyone thinks they have the right of way when you're trying to park at the other target. The short : A Target is a Target the only exception is some of them look like a tornado blew through them and well this is one of them. The long: If I have to go to a Target in Stockton this is the one I will go to. It is newer and bigger then the other location in town and easier to get in and out of. The downside to this particular location is that it always looks like something blew up inside it. Everything is always messed up and displaced. You often can have trouble finding things because they are not where they are supposed to be and that is if you can even find them at all. I actually have never had a single interaction with anyone on the floor because I can never find anyone. There have even been a few times when I have gone looking for someone or hit the little assistance button and never had anyone show up. I've had to deal with the customer service and managers on one occasion and it was not good at all. Long story short I bought something that was on the ad and was marked as on the ad. When I got to my car I noticed I was charged the regular price so I went back in because it was a pretty considerable difference in price. The service staff was pretty much useless and the manager told me I was incorrect. So I walked them back to the table with the sign and showed them. Oh gee someone must have made a mistake.... Sure I'll come back, but I know what to expect when I am walking in. What works: The typical Target goods assuming you can find them What to improve: This particular location needs to work on stocking, organization, cleaning, and having more staff. read more
