DO NOT PLACE AN ORDER FOR PICK UP AND THINK YPU ARE SIMPLY GOING TO WALK IN AND PICK UP YOUR ORDER!! I had a very simple order, 3 items. Wait several min for a cashier to even appear at pick up desk, hands me my bag, which only has HALF my stuff in it. Employees say everything they received on my order is there. I show them my receipt which clearly had more on it. It takes 1.5 hours and a call to corporate to clear this up. Never fails. This store ALWAYS has at least 4 parties in each open checkout line. It's like they are understaffed. I watched from my live-human checkout line as two shoppers stood in the self-checkout for 11 solid minutes w the registers paused and waiting for an employee to rectify some issue. I decided to chase down a cart guy and have him radio someone when the mom who didn't speak English was sending her small child to find an employee to help her. Ridiculous. I've been going to this location for some time. It hasn't always been a mess, but for the last couple of months it's been a disaster. Cardboard boxes line the aisles. The line for checkout is down to the cards sometimes. The last two occasions is what really set me off. Having a newborn, I went to try and find clothes that would fit my postpartum body. I went to the dressing room with more clothes than I normally would due to not knowing my current size. The lady working the dressing room never said I couldn't bring the items in. Unfortunately nothing fit, so I handed my clothes back and the lady made a backhanded comment. Desperate to find clothes, I went back out to look one more time. I came back with a few more items, again nothing fit. When I came out this time, the lady said "Nothing again? I should've said this earlier but we only allow 5 items. You've surpassed that. If you're not going to buy anything you need to stop trying on." My jaw dropped. I had my newborn in the stroller with me, and I responded with "I just had a baby 6 weeks ago. I'm trying to find clothes to fit my new body." With tears in my eyes, I walked away. Mind you, months before I had my daughter the dressing rooms were closed with buggies filled with clothes in the dressing room area. The second occasion that didn't settle well with me was the fact that I was able to place a pick up order through the app, but when I came to the store there was a sign taped to the parking spot signs stating that pick ups had to be picked up inside. It was raining, I had my newborn with me, so I carried her inside to get the two items I needed--diapers and detergent. I will go out of my way to go to the Target in Druid Hills until this one gets better. read more

I love Target, but I don't like this Target. The parking lot is kinda dim and not particularly safe-feeling, and the store is kinda dim too. I don't understand the layout; it's kind of the opposite of other Targets I've been to, but not quite because then I'd be able to figure it out. It's just not, you know, nice. Like I expect a Target to be. I got something in the mail that said they'd renovated, but I certainly couldn't tell. That said, it IS a Target, and they sell the things that Target sells, it's just confusing and depressing (due to the poor lighting) to buy those things at this particular location. And I prefer not to go after dark. I also really wish they'd be more diligent about kicking solicitors out of the parking lot; no, random children, I do not want to buy candy from you. read more

I am a huge Target Fan and must say that this is one of the best Target's around. Every time I come to this Target I am greeted and asked if I need help even though I know where everything is at, it makes me feel good to know if I didn't know where things were at I wouldn't have to look far for help. I have never stood in a line for over 5 mins, if the line is over 4 people they open up a new lane. Everyone who works at this location seems to be happy which makes me happy when I shop here seeing smiling faces all around me. read more

Over the past 7 + years I have dropped in this location many times. I no longer live in the area, but when I drive through to visit friends and family I stop in once in awhile. In the past this location was a clean, organized and stocked. Last night was a different story. On our way home we stopped in to find a pair of shoes for both of my kids. When we went into the shoe department I was so shocked of the disarray that I froze and almost walked out. If 285 was not in grid lock I would have. This all was taken place at 9pm. All the sections where mixed together. Men's, women's, kids and toddler shoes thrown all over. All sizes and styles mixed. Could not walk a straight line through the aisles. Shoes, boxes, shoe paper and other items from other parts of the store where on the floor, on the seats and shoved in nooks and corners. We had to search under the piles in every aisle to find the right sizes for my kids. On top of all that, there was no employees to be seen and/or working on the disaster area of the shoe dept. This store clearly deserves one star. However, the cashier that rang up my items was fast and due to her hard work the location gets one extra star. It's a Target store. Not unlike the others. As such, if I REALLY need something.. I don't come here. This store has limited inventory and nothing irks me more than going to a store, parking, walking all over it only to find they don't have what I came for. So this is for casual shopping ONLY. If I need staples, I go to the Super Walmart down the street. On the flip side, if I want something stylish at a reasonable price... I come here. My only real complaint about this place is the checkout situation. If you refuse to put self-checkout in place then you M.U.S.T. staff registers. this place doesn't do either one. I will choose a Target store over some of the other big box stores in a heartbeat. I used to frequent this location often when I lived in Tucker, it used to be spotless. I've had two visits in the bast two weeks, I don't know what has happened but it looks like closing time on Black Friday in the evenings. Clothes every where and the shoe isles look like they have exploded. Hopefully they will turn it back around soon, this used to be a good location. read more

Busy! This is a very busy Target. They have a huge parking lot (way bigger than ever needed) but it fills up especially on the weekends. They are currently doing renovations and updating to a mini-Super Target, which I'm excited about. So, the condition of the store right now is a little down but there are big things to come. Always clean, plenty of employees to assist (especially at the registers). I am a frequent Target shopper and a big fan of the company. Most Atlanta locations are crowded, messy, and customer service is minimal. This morning I visited the Lavista location for variety of product, and was extremely pleased with my experience. I was amazed that single employee I passed greeted me with a smile and asked how I was doing. They were all cheerful as they worked on stocking products. The store was clean and well organized. Checkout was quick and I was able to use the Cartwheel app to save $25! Everything about this location made it enjoyable to shop, and I will be coming out of my way to return to this particular store. Management is doing a great job here. read more

Horrible drive up service. Received the notification that my order was ready and indicated I was on my way. When I got there I could see part of my order but the employees kept searching for a missing item. They then delivered to all other cars checked again, one went inside. I thought she might be getting the additional item but a few minutes later my app screen jumped to signature and wouldn't let me go back. They then gave me the bag that had been in their cart the whole time and acted like they were just noticing my car. I asked about the other item and they continued to act like nothing and said I should have received a notification that the item was cancelled by the store for some reason. I had to park and go in and wait in line, to get the exact item I ordered. The app had not updated from what they did until after all of this and as I was walking back to my car gave the cancelled message saying it was out of stock. The item was fully stocked. If your drive up service is this awful, why offer it? What should have been a quick pick up with an injured back and kids in the car turned into a terrible experience by pure laziness. If you inventory shows there are 15 in stock why would there not be a second check? And yes mistakes happen. If they had simply said it was missed we're sorry it's going to take longer or unfortunately you'll need to reorder, it would have been better. But instead they lied acted stupid and offered no help to the situation. read more

Target is sufficient, until you need to make an exchange. Per Target's Exchange policy, they honor all discounts/sale prices on exchanges. However this is not the case. I ordered two pairs of pants online. One I received the pants and tried them on, I realized they run big, and I needed a smaller size. I went to 2 target stores before finding a replacement for one of the 2 pairs. Went to customer service to exchange, the associate stated they could bou do an exchange, they would have to do a refund, then I would have to purchase the replacement. When we completed the process, they refunded me the original amount, however they did not honor the sale price on the replacement. She didn't give me a receipt for the exchange, but assured me it would even out. It didn't. I ended up paying $5 more for the replacement. I called target once I realized there mistake. Spoke with a CSR with a VETY HEAVY ACCENT. Word of advice to Target, hire people with a CLEAR DIALECT. After 45 mins of explaining over and over again the situation, he told me that he would escalate this matter and I would be receiving $5. That was 2 weeks ago. I still have not gotten that $5! So I called customer service AGAIN yesterday. At this point, I've spoken with 3 representatives about this issue. The rep that answered was hard to understand. However, I explained to Jessie the situation. He told me that there was nothing they could do. I told him that another representative told me I would be getting my refund. He gotgvery rude. I asked for his manager. The manager just gave me the same number I had just called, then told me that he couldn't help. At this point I've spoken with 5 CSR. So my husband called the same number. The person he initially spoke with have AGAIN a very strong accent. He asked to speak with someone that he could better understand. He then spoke with a very polite gentleman that was much easier to understand. Explained to him the whole situation, told him that he was the SEVENTH CSR we have spoken with. After explaining the situation, the rep agreed to refund some of the difference, but ended up refunding the wrong item, so the amount was less. That was yesterday, well see if we actually get that refund. I WILL NOT PURCHASE CLOTHING FROM TARGET.COM EVER AGAIN. THIS WAS THE MOST HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I HAVE WORKED IN CUSTOMER SERVICE FOR 10 YEARS. YOU NEED TO BE ABLE TO SPEAK CLEARLY. ONLY 1 OUT OF 7 OF TARGETS AGENTS SPOKE CLEARLY. THIS IS NOT ACCEPTABLE. I happened to be over in this neck of the woods. Since I needed to pick up some things from Target anyway, I stopped at this store instead of my neighborhood store. Not as clean as my regular store, but not horrible. I found everything on my list except one thing so that's pretty good. I'll have to head to my regular store for that, I guess. This Target tries its best, but will never be any extraordinary. In terms of convenience, it is just down the street and allows for quick trips when you forget something or need some right away. But the parking lot is an absolute disaster waiting to happen. I have only been going here since I moved to the area two months again and 90% of my close calls have happened in this parking lot. The employee management does notice when more cashiers are needed due to massive lines, which is comforting, but the quality of the employees that come to help do really care about high customer service. Hence, I always use the self check out lane because I can do it faster myself. I think 3 stars is fair, and 2 would be unwarranted given the attempts management does take. I'll keep going here in the future, but only for things I forgot from shopping elsewhere. read more

This is my go-to Target. I actually drive a little further to get here. I like the women's shoes, and I will buy household items and gifts here. The most disappointing thing is the women's and women's plus clothing. The prices are high, and many sizes are missing. It makes for many a frustrating trip. This is the only Target that I can walk out of spending less that $100 consistently. They are always out of everything, or merchandise is extremely picked over. I can really appreciate your efforts , because initially I didn't really care for this location but I indeed can see and feel a difference; improving customer experience and service is ALWAYS KEY. This is a nice store. I have been here a few times and was able to find most all the items I needed. The staff are friendly and helpful. The prices are good. I love Target. I spend a lot of money at Target. I will not return to this store. I can in, with my two small children, to return something and ask a couple questions. Well, when we got there, there was a line of customers waiting at the service desk and NO ONE working there. But if you turned around and looked behind you, there was every employee in the store standing around in a circle clapping at each other. Apparently they were having some kind of meeting (during store hours) that involved everyone (seriously, if you walked around the store there was NO ONE anywhere else). There were several customers looking for employees because they too had questions. Anyway, after a solid 5 minutes of just standing around, someone finally ventured over to help the line of customers standing and waiting. By the time I left they were all still standing there for everyone to see, but not doing anything but applauding themselves. I spoke with a manager who "apologized" and told me they were indeed having their meeting. I told him they should be doing that before the store opens instead of having people wander around the store without being able to receive any help. I could tell he didn't care. I will never shop at this Target again. Trash. read more

Maybe they're understaffed.. But the employees have minimum to nonexistent help. I had a simple return but no one seemed to be present at guest services. So I asked 2 employees to kindly page someone over. They said they'd get someone...okay so 15 minutes has passed and still NO ONE. Finally, I just called the operator myself and asked if she could page someone to process my simple return. She kindly did so and that is what the 1 star rating is for. What's funny is that the team lead that was paged over was near the employees I originally asked to help me. They simply could not walk over and tell him? Keep in mind that this is at 8:30 on a Tuesday morning. Not too busy to do their job. I've worked at Target and this is most definitely not the way Target trains their employees to be. It was no surprise to me that Target has security/ credit card issues. Target does not manage small security issues or take thief seriously . On November 13th 2013 I visited the Target store on Lavista Rd. at lunch. I was in the store maybe 10 minutes. When I return to my car, a Mercedes. All my tires valve stems covers had been stolen. I was shocked! I reported the incident to store security. The Chief of store Security stated he would review cameras and call me to let me know if he was able to identify anything. The security guard never call me back. I visited the store on Dec 4th and spoke with the Chief of store Security again. He stated he forgot to call me and but did remember me reporting the incident. No mention of compensation for item being stolen on Target property Wow!! Do you think I will visit Target again? JEJII read more

I recently moved back to Atlanta from a FL metro area. I love Target but agree with many reviewers that this store is ALWAYS understaffed. Luckily, the employees are nice and seem to like their jobs, but that doesn't mitigate the fact that the lines here are ALWAYS longer than those at Walmart (Tucker). That says a lot because I rarely go to Walmart because of the lines, products, and customer service. This store's management needs to revisit its staffing schedule! read more
