I was extremely let down today during my target run. The line to checkout was ridiculous, but no social distancing was being implemented by staff. I was expecting them to wipe/sanitize self-checkouts to help with the spread of germs after each person uses it, but nothing. I was shocked that the employee kept switching tasks and not changing her gloves. Target had done a great job at the measures they were taking, but all that changed over night. read more

DANGEROUS! Gone down hill; quick!!! My wife and daughter were carjacked by knife-point at this Target. Target did nothing in response except give the LAPD detective the surveillance video. Immediately following the incident I tried getting in contact with a manager for more information as to where my wife and daughter were and their phone system did not pick-up until I chose "Optical Department" selection. When the lady (Ariel or Mariel) picked up and I explained to her my wife called in distress from this location, she replied, "I'm sorry we have nothing to do with Target. There is nothing I can do." and in the end hung up on me as I begged for her to put a Target Manager on the phone. At the court hearing regarding the carjacking incident yesterday, I was informed that less than 2 weeks after our event there was a murder by vehicle in this same parking structure on a higher level with the body being put into a Target cart, brought down and dumped on the 2nd level parking with needles thrown next to the dead body. According to police, people walked right on by thinking they were asleep. The culprit of this attack was found sleeping in the exact car across Sepulveda. I come here for groceries and basically anything I need and it's pretty reliable. Parking is easy, there are a couple restaurants inside the same plaza though they aren't my favorite, you may be able to kill 2 birds with one stone. |[ r a n t ]| I often come here and get lost in looking at stuff I don't need aka skin products or whatnot. But that goes with pretty much all the targets I go to. 3/5 stars for a target is pretty much how I feel about most targets I go to. During the return they called the manager Billy who was very nice, there was a problem with our credit card so he said to come back and he will complete it. When we came back we asked for him and he sent another manager Iris and told her he had no idea who we were and that he never helped us before. Totally lied about it and then Iris didn't want to return our money and said she didn't care that Billy was going to do it. Cool service from Vicki, the Target cashier! Professional. She asked if the bags should be packed light! Thoughtful! Sometimes I forget to ask, and I have a back that often goes out carrying bags sometimes. All the cold stuff together. Items came home in nice condition. Idea: I wish the the kitchen aluminum foil was in the same section as the grocery items on the top floor. I had to walk all the way down to the next level and back while my husband was sitting in a hot car. This added about ten minutes to the shopping time, not cool. Came needing a few boxes that were not put out just yet and was in the back. Eliza approached me asking if I needed help and as I asked for the boxes, she checked and told me she has them in the back and she can get it for me but it would take 10 minutes since it was in a not easy to reach area of the back. Honestly she could of just told me that they don't have it, or that they can't take it out till tomorrow or made up an excuse, but just the fact that she took 15 minutes out of whatever she was doing to help me with this, she honestly deserves a award for it. WORST TARGET EVER. A man in a wheelchair grabbed me, sniffed me, and when I told him to fuck off he continued to circle the aisles while I shopped. I became extremely uncomfortable and alerted several girls in the beauty department. NO ONE DID ANYTHING. 10 mins go by and the dude is still following me around. So I try to get the attention of another employee, when I tried to talk to her (greasy shoulder length mud colored hair with horrible bleached bangs and overwight) looked me dead in the eye and walked away from me. So I went to a boy at the register and asked if they where getting someone to remove this person. And he looked surprised and said he would call security. I walked away. The guy keeps following me, getting wayyyy to close and continues to make comments about my appearance and asking if I have a boyfriend. So I go to a THIRD group of employees and demand a manager. FINALLY THEY REMOVED HIM FROM THE STORE. But only after I started yelling at the manager. WTF? The employees here are absolutely clueless, hopeless, and LAZY. read more

I visit this target frequently and my experience today (9pm 12/23) was truly amazing. The staff was extremely busy and somehow kept a friendly and happy attitude. I had trouble with the price of some baby formula and diapers. The manager showed up very quickly and helped resolve my issue and went above what I expected. This staff and management at this location are the A team! Great job during not only the holidays but also through the pandemic! You are sincerely appreciated! read more

Bad attitude at this target. Specifically at electronics. Called in advance to see if they had something in stock since the Target app is very vague. A girl picked up, which later I found out was Julia, and told me that there's 5 in stock of a product I was looking for. Drove 7 miles to that store and when I came she said "oh the system said there was some but actually there isn't any".... IT WAS LITERALLY SUPPOSE TO BE IN THE AISLE CLOSE TO HER and she didn't bother to walk to it and check in person but rather relied on what is now clearly a bad inventory system. Target spends a lot of money on displays. The result is an upscale ambulance with goods offered at moderate prices. Their employees are knowledgeable and friendly. Got a question? Grab one of the red phones, located throughout the store, and someone will be at your side in less than a minute. This is a two story, smaller footprint store and therefore offers a more limited selection than larger Targets. Except on advertised merchandise prices are higher then at the larger stores. Easy and free indoor garage parking. Wheelchair accessible including dressing rooms and bathrooms. Check-out, both manned and self-service are located on both floors with exits to parking. Elevators are available, inside the store and in the parking structure. read more

Sucks. Their escalators , both direction, closed off and out of service ! Are u kidding me? So to go upstairs you will have to go into an elevator with a bunch of strangers? With carts and all....Some who aren't wearing their masks, but has it under his chin....pre-pandemic this store would take several weeks to fix their escalators so now who knows. Think before you go into that elevator , to this Target ....especially if you take care of elders or those with health issues because this Target is not thinking of you. read more

This is the WORST Target location I've ever been to. I only come here if I have to. Otherwise I'll drive an extra 15 min to go to the Woodland Hills location. Let me start by saying I've worked in retail before. I was a store manager. So I know what it takes to run a successful store and manage employees. 1. This is the worst team of employees. They make no eye contact or smile. If you ask them for help, it's as if you're inconveniencing them. 2. The parking elevators are filthy. Their carts have trash in them. The store is not as clean as others. 3. Their escalator that takes you to the 2nd floor has been broken for a month. It's boarded up. Looks like no progress happening. 4. The other day a customer slipped on a piece of plastic in an aisle and was moaning loud in pain. I was 2 aisles over and went to see if she was ok. She was an older lady hunched over, leaning on a shelf in pain. Apparently she threw her leg out. I looked for staff to help her and low and behold, 3 of them just hanging in one aisle together. Not 1 attempted to help. They ignored her. I had to yell at them, "Do any of you plan on helping this customer because I know you can hear her if the rest of us shopping can." These employees at this specific location do the bare minimum. Whoever is the district manager needs to run havoc on this team. I would love to personally send an email to their district and regional manager. I'm not one to complain but I know I'm not the only person that feels this way about this location. Go to another location or try this one and help me get their bosses attention on how bad this store is. read more

I was wondering why this Target has such a low rating and I think I may know why after visiting this location. First of all, its location is not as bad. It seems pretty odd at point but then its close to other famous well known stores like Best Buy, Kohls ans others. So why so low? I feel like this target is one of the oldest Target Ive seen around. Everything is old and its not very well organized inside. A lot of things are left on the floor, dirty floors and the employees lack customer service so much. Its not that I had something to buy here, I walked into sort of exercise after my late heavy dinner. You know its hard to walk out with nothing from Target. Well, I didnt get anything because I never got help. I wanted to get this dress they had but they couldnt find the other color that I wanted in my size so I asked the girl and she said she will have someone else look for it for me but I never heard back. So I literallt just stood there and wasted 10-15 minutes of my time. Other than that, Target is Target even if its old or new. Worst experience ever. I even wrote a complaint about how I got my purchased merch in my cart searched after I purchased the items in front of my kid; while non-colored people were not being searched on their while out. I felt belittled in front of my boy; i am a mother, have a degree and work hard. The response from Target was that this was their "protocol" and search everyone's carts and receipts. Waited in line till I was told it will be awhile wait and I'll get a text. Which I never did because the associate had put in a wrong number so they had to do it again which wasn't my fault. Then that was settled. waited three hours nothing was texted. So I went back to the store to be told the iPhone is sold out because TARGET EMPLOYEES DIDNT COUNT RIGHT......and I was mind blown to ok so you were going to have me wait all day to come get my phone and not let me know ? Like I'm sorry but this is irresponsible on your end. And for that matter I should of been offered the promo for showing up on any other day you get shipment in. This place was located a few minutes from my buddy's place, so I figured I'd come here to buy some stuff I needed for home before heading out on a night of debauchery. This target is a nice two story location. It's clean, well stocked, and well-organized. I found what I needed and proceeded to check out. I was glad that to see that they have a Starbucks on the second floor, as I needed a boost of energy. The experience here went smoothly, and the staff was nice. I'd return. read more

2014 YELP 365 CHALLENGE - 149/365 I'm updating my review because after going to this Target for a solid nine months, I've grown quite attached to it. I recently moved from Sherman Oaks to West LA, and this is unfortunately no longer my go-to Target. My nearest Target is the City Target in Westwood, which is literally probably my least favorite Target of all time. This makes the Van Nuys Target seem like heaven. I still work in Sherman Oaks, and I often find myself driving to this Target to do my errands shopping rather than going to the annoying, obnoxious City Target of Westwood. I highly recommend skipping the first two floors of the parking garage altogether. Finding parking on the first level is literally impossible, so don't even bother. The second floor is ok, but there is no store-access on that level so you'll have to take the elevator either up to the third, or down to the first. I generally park on the third level because it's much less crowded and has store access. The layout isn't normal as most Targets because it's two levels, but after you shop here for awhile, you learn your way around and it's actually not that bad. It's also nice that there are two levels because their are cashiers on both levels, and the lines are never very long. Overall, I actually like this Target a lot now even though I didn't when I first moved to the San Fernando Valley last year. I prefer it to other Targets in Los Angeles. read more

You know that expression "It only takes one mindless stupid idiot to ruin your entire perception of a store." It's famous, look it up. Anyhoo, that is exactly what happened to me this morning as I ran into Tarje to pick up some storage bins. It seemed like it would be a super easy quickie, but alas, Welcome to Idiotville! As a girl, I easily get side-tracked in a wondrous store like this. They have the girl clothes right when you walk in, proving that I am not alone here. So I give into the come hither calls of the clothing section and find a few cute pieces and decide to try them on. I get to the dressing and the true definition of SO NOT A MORNING PERSON is working the dressing room and looks at me like I just shot, killed, marinated and grilled her first born. I say(after an awkward scowl down from her), "How many can I take in?" She doesn't answer and just continues to glare at me. I start to think, "Hey, it is early and I'm not looking my hottest at the moment, but c'mon answer my question so I can move on with my mission" Finally bitchatha speaks and says coldly, "6". I then take my plastic "6" card and go back to the dressing room. While I'm there I am just getting more and more pissed off at what just went down. Seriously, who is this broad to pull that crap with anyone. I didn't make you work at Target, but if you are here to do a job and that job entails answering a clothing limit count, then do it well. I then leave the dressing room and hand back the stuff and she rolls her eyes! Clearly the attitude was not in my head. So I ask her, "Is there a problem here?" Again, no answer. Then I did what I never thought I would ever ever do. I left Target without buying ANYTHING. This has never happened. Target is a store that has always managed to suck at least $100 a visit out of me on crap I don't need, but this wretched and miserable woman made me want to do nothing but leave. Wow! I haven't been here in years; to this location in particular. The selection is just unbelievable. The home section has become lovely. They have the magnolia home decor. Stuff that you find at pier one or world market. No joke! Except for a much cheaper price. I was so surprised. In addition, the market/food section is very well sorted. You can pretty much find everything. I cane in looking for so delicious coconut milk yogurt and boom there it was! Parking is in a 3 floor structure. I've been coming here for a year now and I always have a great experience everytime I come. The Manager Rudy is an awesome photographer, he knows how to get the job done and does a beautiful job as well. My child is not very photogenic at all but he always entertains him to capture those picture perfect moments. Rudy is very patient and not pushy at all. I love how they add the special photo finishes after the session. I've had many of my family portraits taken care and my son's milestone pictures done. Pricing is very reasonable and the turn around time is about 2 weeks if that. All in all I have no problems with this place and I highly recommend signing up for their email club so you can get some great offers. read more

I came in here to buy some clippers as I won't let anyone else touch my awesome hair. I found them promptly. However, while doing the usual walk around to see if I needed anything else, I found that they were completely out of aftershave, save for a couple of bottles of Oldspice Original (think grampa-scented). Pass! The express lanes were not that express, but this was most likely due to a combination of the customers, and Target employees. There was also an elevator with the yellow "caution" tape covering it in the parking garage that one woman nonchalantly ducked under to use the elevator when the doors opened. They pretty much have every household thing you could need plus indoor and outdoor furniture, electronics and groceries.
