Thought third time was a charm, but we were wrong. 3 times now we have waited over 45 minutes for pickup items at this Target and end up cancelling the order and just going in. We always thought the point of pick up was to save time, like it is at most places. Today, it was completely full and running over, and there were only 2 workers total. I'm not sure if it was just the situation, but from the get go it looked like they were taking their sweet time, walking slow and spending 5 plus minutes at a time inside and coming out with 2-3 bags for someone. I totally understand being understaffed, but when I went in there were no lines for self check out or for the regular check out lines. This is just bad management. . The cashier, Cory, made extremely anti-Semitic remarks. He told me that "Jews run everything" and don't know how "good they have it". I told him Jews weren't allowed to be own land or join trade guilds in Europe and as a result many turned to banking (which is why these stereotypes exist). He told me we were kicked out of guilds because of our awful behavior. I told him my grandparents fled pre WWII Nazi Germany. He said most countries have kicked Jews out for good reason - we are bad people and cause problems wherever we go. I was mortified as the people behind me in line stared in disbelief. When I told him I found this very hurtful he said "well I'm sorry but it's in the Bible and it's your history". I addressed with the manager on duty who said she'd talk to him about not sharing these types of opinions at work. I have called Target corporate and not received any response. The rep who took my call said he wanted to set realistic expectations and let me know there is a good chance no one will call me back or follow up. I appreciate him being forthcoming about what to expect How could you improve: Try to prevent your customers from being verbally accosted by employees. Hands down best Target in the area. I wish it was closer to home. This store has the best home décor selection. The aisles are packed with the latest products and associates constantly restocking. I worked for Target for many years, so it's always disappointing to visit a store and see that the guest experience is virtually nonexistent these days. We visited much of the entire hardlines sections (cleaning supplies, groceries, housewares, electronics, toys) and were in close proximity to several team members. Not a single one acknowledged us in any way, even the ones that went flying past us way too fast pushing carts. It seems to me that the focus is on fulfilling online orders and stocking shelves instead of assisting customers, and that's so disappointing to see. The experience, such as calling customers "guests," is one of the things that used to set Target apart from other stores, but that doesn't appear to be the case any longer. Thankfully the cashier and Guest Service staff that assisted us were pleasant and efficient, or I could never justify three stars here. read more

Not sure about the rest of the world, but I need to literally wear blinders when I go to Target. They have everything, I mean everythinggg, that you could need (and want). I always go with the intention of something like toothpaste, and leave with $80 worth in my cart. I'm a Target fan. I stopped into this location today for the first time in awhile. Their parking lot is a bit of a jagged puzzle, but oh well. The store is so large, and really well kept. I've never thought anything negative of the cleanliness and organization of all the sections and products. I popped in to pick up something I ordered online and the service was quick and easy at the helpdesk. I will say however, in the many times I've been to Target, I am astonished at not only the amount of check-out kiosks they have, but that there is only ever 1-2 of then open at a time. Waiting in line is no biggie, but it's just peculiar. There's always a few interesting characters at this location as well. Today, there was a screaming match between to ladies in the parking lot. It's a shame that, every time I come to one of these stores, there's only one actual cashier line open - of all the darn lines available to be used but, of course, are not. I have been waiting in line to be rung up for over 10 mins and counting. Unfortunately, the practice of having only 1-2 cashiers (not self-serve lanes) is a growing, albeit shitty, trend. This practice takes away from a pleasant in-store shopping experience. It's no wonder many, including myself, are turning to alternatives like amazon. While I still enjoy shopping at Target over Walmart (products, aesthetic, mission, etc.), I can't help but start to lump them all together when it comes to the actual check out process. I'm not actually sure what the problem is considering the poor reviews. My biggest problem with Target is the simple fact that I cannot go in solely for what I need. I end up walking out with the entire store. Smh. I feel like this is just like any other target, except bigger. It's bigger than the one I used to go to on chase, but just as big as the one near Miller Park. This one is more convenient for me. The only other problem I had was the fact that more registers weren't open for the amount of people that were in the store. That was frustrating. I'm not a Target shopper for the most part and I only stop in the stores a few times a year but since the Walmart neighborhood market closed a year ago next to them I'm just going to have to get used to shopping here because of the convenience factor. Target has everything and more than the neighborhood market had so I really don't know why I just never got on board. I needed some pharamacy and grocery items so I was trying to think of where to get both in a one stop shop on my way home and I drew a blank so I gave up and I was going to go to Walmart when it hit me, hello target is one stop shop and I have to drive right past it and not go out of my way. I actually found everything I needed so I really have to train my self to think of Target more for common household errands instead of driving past them to get to another store. This is Target! Not a "Tar-jay" with a grocery store. I do like the wider isles it looks cleaner and has more space to keep the shelves stocked. Remember to not wear a red shirt and khakis. Most of the customers have no clue at all. I help give directions. So don't be surprised if I don't know where woman's clothing or where the Hair blowers, and irons are. Walmart produce will open next door that will be good to give a little competition and get some of the prices back to normal. The Bikes, camping and fishing section is a little weak. So you will do better shopping at a LOCAL specialty store. The service here is better than the average Walmart service. The traffic on 124th is still bad. due to road construction and repair work and I guess it will continue to be bad because its just a busy intersection. by the way if you have bratty kids this place is big enough to ditch them and run off to a bar.... WOW, this store is great! It's like Wal-Mart, but just a little better. Just a little. It has all the stuff you need & even the stuff you don't all in one place. I love Target so much I sometimes wear a red collared shirt with khakis & help customers out, just to show my appreciation. I shop here so often I know where all the items are. Gosh, another 4 star review. I like target ... We all know the joke about needing soap and coming out with a $100 bill, so ill keep it short. This is an ok target with an awkward parking lot. It's attached to a grocery-only wal-mart. I'm sorry, tho, if I'm in that target for some herbal essence conditioner and pantyhose I'm just gonna stay there and pick up some pasta and sauce for dinner. I hate multiple trips! The grocery department here is not quite full service (the produce is prepacked, not pick your own,) but its reasonabley priced and you can always fashion a meal out of it. A dude here always asks me if I'm finding what I need (I'm always deep in thought with my grocery list and/or looking bewildered) so yea for him. They of course have your cheap chic house decor here too. I always think the clothes are sort of eh. If you were ever nicknamed "big foot" by an old boyfriend (not speaking from personal experience, of course) you won't do well here because the shoes run small and they never have much left in the 9s and 10s. Checkouts vary. Usually a manager pops out of the woodwork when it gets backed up and keeps things moving. Two other side notes (what was I talking about when I said I'd keep this short?) : --targets paper products/laundry detergents/dove 3 packs of body wash are good if you live in the suburbs. Not say, a one bedroom city condo. They don't sell single rolls of toilet paper, paper towel, etc and the smaller packages they have are not a good deal. As a galpal pointed out when I pondered a sams club membership: "well, I suppose you could use your living room like a warehouse..." No thanks. -- pet products are awesome. I schedule a trip weekly just for the reasonably priced kitty litter/wet food/dry food. The 'girls' do not eat generic cat food and 9 lives here is $.39 a can. I like to choose a dollar amount and then see how close I am (without going over, of course!) when I arrive at the checkout with my basket. This is our "back up" Target store as we usually hit up the one close to Miller Park. This location does seem to be on the larger side for local Targets but it doesn't really offer anything different or unique. On the plus side, they have everything you need at a pretty decent price. The store is clean and generally well maintained and organized. On the minus side, the parking lot is poorly designed and they regularly run out if stock on "sale" items especially on the weekends. This store is the closest Target to our house so we end up here semi-regularly. I concur with other reviews saying the first part of your experience which is the parking lot is designed very poorly. It's a nuisance to navigate through it. Once you get inside the store is usually arranged nicely enough - that is until you start looking around and it's all picked over. I don't know why it seems like they just had a huge sale and people stampeded through and left only remnants behind. They have a grocery section and honestly I don't know why anyone would choose to buy theirs here beyond pure laziness, because Pick n' Save is right across the street and wayyyyy better priced. This store has been going downhill for the past few years. I keep saying I'm going to a different one, but by habit I ended up there today. The parking lot always has litter; I've even seen a can of paint by the cart return. When I went back a couple of days later to make a return, it was still there. Today the store was the normal chaos and clutter. Shopping involved weaving around/between or moving the carts used by employees to re-stock (no employee in sight, just the cart(s)). Finding a medium-sized garbage bag took at least 5 minutes because that section had different sizes scattered all over, and stacked every-which-way. Throughout the store I noticed items on the floor, a lot of items from other departments left by lazy customers not returning them, and general disorganization of items. On one visit, I found a room temperature pot pie in one of the food aisles. You have to wonder how long it takes a frozen pot pie to reach room temperature. Target started carrying phones from AT&T, TMobile,and Verizon last year in the Electronics section,(Target Mobile) so when I found out I decided to try my luck there before I went to my carriers corporate store for an upgrade (they wanted over $200 for an upgrade after I had a horrible time with my Blackberry). The phones are $10-$30 less than what you will find at your carrier's store. Here goes, I scored a new smart phone a Samsung Galaxy phone for $50, original price $499.99. No kidding,Yes!!!!! This might be my biggest bargain yet. I also traded my old phone and scored a $15 in a Target gift card. Which I will be using to buy a new case- who doesn't like free money - I know I do. I love me some Target and this is a good one. Let's start with the fact that they have a starbucks - nothing makes a shopping adventure more enjoyable than a frap in hand. Other than that - this Target is clean, well stocked, and always has employees roaming around if you have questions. They also have a decent food selection - not a Super Target - but enough to pick up the necessities. The one negative is the parking situation. For some reason, the parking is always super full and I have to park at the back of the lot no matter what time of day I go. I know, I know. It's Target. How can it be 5 stars? Well, the last time I was in, they really nailed it, service-wise. The girl retrieving carts from the parking lot searched high and low for one of those double-seater carts for me, since it was myself and two toddlers together that day. Let's be very clear: THIS IS NOT A SUPER TARGET. Lots of reviews are claiming that it is, but it's not. You can go to Target's website to confirm this. A Super Target is much different (and will say "Super Target" on the building). All they did to this one was expand the grocery area. I love Target and shop there all the time. I know all the ins and outs. I even used to work right next door to their corporate offices in Minneapolis. Surprisingly, the most helpful and well-stocked Target I've found in the area is actually the one across from the old Northridge Mall on Brown Deer Rd. I know, crazy. Every time I go to this Target, I'm disappointed by how unhelpful the staff is. I wanted to buy one of those bike trailers meant for little children and looked on their website to find which Target in the area had them in stock. The website said this location had them, so off I went. I was short on time so I decided to ask an associate for help. She took me all around the store looking for one (she obviously didn't know where to look) then said they must be out. WTH?!? No, your website said you had them. I was in the area for TDay and needed a COVID booster and this Target CVS was the closest with the Pfizer vax so I scheduled an appt. A relative told me the store had security due to the area but was safe which made me a bit nervous at first. Well... when I arrived, this store was no different than any other Target I've ever shopped at - lots of open, safe parking. I didn't see or feel the need for security. The pharmacy ROCKED! They were SUPER NICE, VERY ORGANIZED, and they gave me a $5 coupon to use in the store. The store was well stocked, clean and organized. I did ask someone in the toy dept for help and they told me to find someone else because they didn't work in that area (looked to be filling online orders but could have been nicer). It was challenging to find help in the store but is this really different from other stores at the moment with staff shortages? Anyway, when I finished my Christmas list later in the day, I did drive up at another Target which was WAY easier than looking the aisles. First I'd like to point out that this is technically not a Super Target. While it has more of an extended grocery section than most, it doesn't have a full grocery section with deli, bakery etc. The selection on food is pretty good, just don't go there expecting more. I go to Target at least every week and I'm fed up with this one. The employees are not knowledgable and they treat it like socialization time. I think you can have fun at work but you need to stop talking when you're dealing with a customer. I've been over charged plenty of times because they don't pay attention. Also, they never know where anything is. This weekend I was looking for a space heater and couldn't find it. I was short on time so I asked someone because I saw one sitting in an aisle on the floor so I knew they were somewhere. The person I asked told me they didn't have them. I pointed to the one on the floor. They figured out that another customer had asked for one and an employee must have brought one out of the back and must not have bought it. They told me that the space heaters 'probably' won't come out til next week but they would let me buy that one - for $55. Said they couldn't bring out any more to show me. So one customer gets to see but no one else does? Just say no to everyone. There is always something weird that happens at this store. Employees really need to be on the same page. read more

The checkout cannot process a debit card as credit anymore...one of the store mgrs was passing by and the checkout guy (very nice and tried to be helpful) verified; can't process a chip debit card as credit. Has to be debit. So I left the items, went to Meijer's, used the same card, slotted it in the debit/credit processor, similar to Targets, as a chip card, hit the red button for cancel then the green button and the card was processed as credit. The target store is fine.. Actually it's great. The Target Mobile section is freaking horrible. I spent 5 hours.. Legit 5 freaking hours trying to get a phone.. While one lady stared at the computer clueless and the other guy helped his own customer and us at the same time.. Worst experience I have ever had in my entire life. The only reason I even stayed was for my girlfriends mother who was trying to get the phone and I didn't want to lose it in front of her.. The guy (Matthew M) knew exactly what he was doing but because the other employee had no idea we sat around for five hours.. He could've ran the station by himself and gotten through the customers quicker than half investing himself into every customer. I'm still waiting right now so it could be even longer. If you're getting a phone just go to the actual providers store or Best Buy. read more

It's Target, it's a good store. This Target as with all the others offers almost everything you can think of and could need. Electronics, housewares, clothing, food, pet supplies, etc and so on. Staff was friendly and the store was extremely clean as with most of the Targets I have been to. I have been a shopper at the 124th and Capitol branch for years. I shopped at 5pm on 1/26/17. There were only 3 check out lanes open. Each cashier seemed slower than the other. I changed lanes 3 times (I had wine so I could not use self check out). Each line was 6 people deep. Terrible service. My husband also noticed a decline. We are talking about taking our service to Waukesha. Not sure what Chick Fil A is doing. They have friendly people and great service and are just across the street. read more
