I saw Dr. Kortebein and I have never felt more seen or heard by anybody in my entire life. He listened patiently to every detail I wanted to give him, went over my MRI in depth, and developed and changed treatment plans several times based on my comfort and needs without any judgement or pressure, validating my thoughts on everything. He did not rush my questions about the injection and I felt he would've taken as much time as it took for me to get the answers I needed. I asked him if I could see him for my other pain with my fibro and he welcomed me back to talk anytime to help my neck pain. There was something so healing to have someone validate your pain who obviously knows and sees pain daily and understands how it effects the whole mind and body. Dr. Kortebein is extremely intelligent, objective, easy to talk to and very passionate about what he does. I am grateful and hopeful to have found someone to help me improve my quality of life. I was referred to physical therapy through Spine & Nerve Diagnostic Center and saw the in-office…read morephysical therapist. My first PT visit was fine... light pressure and stretching, no real improvement but no worsening either. At my second visit, the office was not open at my scheduled appointment time. There was no check-in process or intake paperwork, and another patient was turned away due to scheduling conflicts. This session was much more intense than the first, and I left feeling sore. Over the following days, that soreness turned into acute pain that I had not experienced since before treatment. When I contacted the office for guidance, I was told to schedule a follow-up with my doctor. At that visit, I requested copies of my PT treatment notes. Initially, I was told they could only be released to my attorney. Then I was told the PT was affiliated with another office and that I'd need to contact them -- but that office had no record of me since I'd never been seen there. A front desk staff member was dismissive and unprofessional during this process, even discussing my request with others in a way that I could overhear. After multiple attempts and delays, I finally received my records, but the process was unnecessarily difficult and raised concerns about accuracy of said records. Based on my experience with both the therapy and the administrative handling of my case, I will be seeking care elsewhere.

I sent all medical records, scans, nerve conduction results etc as requested. Spent 30 minutes filling out a very long medical history questionnaire. I was seen by Julie Stackhouse PA and it was disastrous. She had not reviewed any of my records or questionnaire so was totally unprepared for this consultation. She spoke so fast I had to ask her to slow down 3 times. She jumped around to my numerous issues and used medical terms I wasn't familiar with. Tried to get her to isolate and discuss 1 issue at a time. I've gone over these records with several medical personnel so I totally understand what's going on but trying to follow her was impossible. It was a total waste of my time and I resent the fact that I waited 2 months for this appointment only to find out the professional I was seeing did not behave like a professional being totally unprepared.
