Not only did he charge me more than the price he quoted that we had agreed upon, he didn't adjust the springs in the tremolo bridge at all, leaving it uneven (depressed toward the butt end, and in a lopsided manner) and unable to hold consistent string tension. I'm not convinced that he actually knows how to do a tremolo bridge setup. And to top it all off, when he did the fret leveling, he never bothered to tape the fingerboard, and left scuffs and scratches everywhere! I hear he's great with acoustic guitars, but DO NOT TAKE YOUR HIGH-END ELECTRIC GUITAR TO HIM. Honestly, even Guitar Center would have been several steps up.

A half-trained eye would of recognized right away. Took to pawnshop on 45th and got 500 right away. Had similar experience with collector amps as well. Wouldn't recommend taking gear here much less buy something, they don't know what they're doing. Shop online save yourself the heart ache. Old staff was great... Not the case anymore shop online and for lessons and repair go local, they just want commission here.

Upon entry, I was halfway greeted by 2 employees standing at the register visiting with each other: I proceeded to walk towards the drum area which was completely VOID of employee presence. Since the sticks are behind the counter, I stood at the counter for about 5 minutes: Not a single employee from the front register, now 3, approached me. (Yes, I intentionally did NOT go out of my way to FLAG DOWN an employee.) I then proceeded to call TARPLEY MUSIC while standing at this counter. I had time to ask if they had the sticks I was looking for, BE PUT ON HOLD, and then have my question answered. I walked all the way from the back drum area to the front door, passing THREE employees...& again, not a single one offered help, assistance, or thanks: zero. Unfortunately, I wish I could say this was a strange anomaly. But, as mentioned above...this has become "Classic Guitar Center". BIG name. Itty-bitty customer service.

With the regular performances, he seems fearless now when needing to appear in front of audiences. Music expanded his brain too which is always a good thing. SoR staff are top notch! They're very kind and cool people. They also have adult program now, so it's not just kids who can be cool rockers. It is a lot of fun to play music with others.
