So great, we came here two times during our week here. The drinks are soo good. The owner both times came out to check on us and make sure we are ok, his grandma's recipes are also used in some plates, which is soo sweet. The food is fresh, full of flavor, just soo delicious! The team here is so friendly and welcoming, and really great with children dining (if you're a member of the clean plate club, you get to go out back and feed the fish with one of the managers). Initially came just for the lobster! After learning that they had no lobster I was very disappointed but we still decided to dine in. I'm glad I didn't let me run away as I had the red snapper instead and it was probably the best red snapper I've ever had 5/5. It was huge, flavorful and so juicy and fried perfectly. What a great surprise. We ended up at Tarpons Table because our original choices were either closed for maintenance or overly crowded. Good food and drinks at reasonable prices. The chicken lettuce wraps were delicious. The pulled pork sandwich was tasty and tangy, and the daily catch wahoo with a coconut curry sauce over rice was unbelievably good. That pop of flavor on the wahoo is what I was looking for. The homemade coconut cream pie was a great meal ender with a great cup of coffee. The ambiance next to the water was beautiful and you can watch the Tarpons in the water. You can also enjoy the kittens that call that area home scurry around the outside walkways. Staff is the friendliest we've met on the island. Had them cook our mahi mahi that we caught fishing. Recommended by our fishing captain that day and he was not not wrong. Wow, sooo good! Our car service driver from the airport suggested this place to us and she was spot on. We arrived about 6:30, plenty of tables available and we ate out by the edge of the deck overlooking the dock/boats. The service was awesome, friendly, knew the menu well and made helpful suggestions (not just generic suggestions). We ordered Shrimp Remoulade & Guacamole to start, Grilled Swordfish w/Crab, and the daily special mahi mahi tacos. As a bonus, while we were there, they got everyone's attention for a "show". Every day when the fishing boats come in and the restaurant cleans and preps the daily catch, they feed the scraps to the Tarpon. They let patrons of the restaurant do the feeding. It was so cool. Service was quick and super friendly, location is prime for folks arriving by ferry, and there's plenty of room! We were having dinner here at the end of the day and the owner came out with scrap fish to feed the tarpon and sharks swimming under the dock and it made for an excellent show! The food was good but not exceptional -- the fish and chips were good, the pulled pork sandwich was kind of dry, the whole snapper was good, we enjoyed sharing the mussels, and the grilled swordfish with the lump of crab was underwhelming in size for the price. The setting is nice right on a deck overlooking several docks. The service was fast and the food came out lightning quick. I got a warm water lobster and I must admit I don't like warm water lobsters. They're just not as good as cold water. The chicken wings were very nice. Definitely would eat here again. You need to bring bug spray because you're right on the dock and there are a lot of little bugs that are annoying. read more

Had a party of 3 for lunch. Ordered the chicken wraps and the st croix poke bowl with tuna. The food was absolutely amazing. The lettuce wraps have a sauce that makes you crave a come back tour. Tuna was perfect with seasoning just right. My only "complaint" which is merely an observation and not really a complaint, the server was really on island time. He did not seem to get support from the other staff. Regardless this was a great stop with an awesome view of the harbor and boats coming and going. As we were leaving a morning half-day charter fishing trip, our captain suggested we take our fresh catch to a local restaurant to have it prepared for us for lunch. Tarpon's Table was one he suggested and was most convenient. I called the restaurant, explained the situation to the hostess and she confirmed they did this. When we arrived, we were seated and the hostess said the server would be right over to explain how the prices works. That never happened and after we were given our waters and not given a menu, I inquired. She said there's nothing to explain, that the cooks in the back make taco appetizers then cook the rest whatever way they want. Well, a few things didn't sit right. We were guests at the restaurant and assumed we'd have fish prepared to our liking within reason. One of my sons backed out riff away and got a burger instead. I ordered a beer with lunch that never came, but was billed anyway. My son who backed out, was still charged for the fish lunch. We provided the fish, so, in essence, we each got two small tacos with cabbage and a plate of rice for $90, and they may have served us 1/2 of the fish we provided them. I really wanted to like this place. The people were friendly and the atmosphere was good, but service was subpar, even with the restaurant being nearly empty. I can't go back or recommend this to anyone. read more

Went into this restaurant after leaving our boat tour, we simply wanted to look at the menu before setting a table. We stood at the bar for 10 min looking stupid waiting for someone to acknowledge our presence. The hostess looked at my husband and immediately said "you need a shirt on to sit here" rude as hell. Asked for a menu to look at and a man said "you want a seat? It's 7pm on Valentine's Day, we won't have anything" again rude as hell. I said "yep, we're going somewhere else" and walked away. How are you going to be a business ran on tourists money and be that incredibly rude and snappy? Definitely look at other options if you want decent service! read more

So we did an excursion and the boat dock let off right at the restaurant. We read the reviews and they seemed good. We were seated right away, during a slow time as seen in the pictures. We ordered the SHRIMP REMOULADE & GUACAMOLE as an app. Our waitress brought it out and it had under 10 chips for dipping, which was annoying. I had to ask for more chips for 18 dollars we shouldn't have to ask for more it should be there. After that I had SHRIMP POBOY and my wife had ENSENADA FISH TACOS both were alright but nothing special. My son had a GRILLED BURGER and my daughter had Chicken Tenders both they said were ok. It's definitely a tourist trap in its location to the dock and the ferry. Overall it's ok but nothing special. The bathroom was clean. read more

What an awesome place! I came here with my family during a sailing trip on the BVIs. We stayed on the US Virgin Islands on the way back and wanted to check out the downtown scene of Red Hook. We chose Tarpon's Table bc during our trip we saw so many tarpon and I was intrigued! lol Our server Brittany was amazing and super personable. Really really enjoy good service and she was the best! We also met the owner/manager who stopped by our table and talked with us for a bit. Also really enjoyed that. The food was amazin! We ordered mussels for an appetizer which was so so good!! I have never had a bowl of mussels like that and it was plenty to share between the four of us. Definitely recommend! I ordered the fish tacos and used a local homemade hot sauce on them. So good and so fresh. We ended up buying a bottle of the hot sauce bc we loved it so much! Wolf's hot sauce. If you get a chance pick some up!! One of the coolest things (and the reason why they are called Tarpon's Table is because they throw out the fish scraps at the end of the night. The owner comes out and invites everyone to the pier to educate on Tarpon's and do a feeding. It was awesome!!!!! 100% recommend this restaurant for dinner! Great experience at Tarpon's Table! I had the swordfish and lobster which I thought was decent but expensive for what it is. Fish was slightly dry and portion sizes weren't that big. Our experience was amazing however, at the end of the day, the owner came out and demonstrated how they feed the fish by the water. You can also go up and feed them yourself. Went to this waterside restaurant my first night on St Thomas because it is new and we wanted to give it a try. Everything we had was delicious, I had the catch of the day (Mahi) grilled over jasmine rice and veggies, my husband had the pork belly tacos which looked great and he said tasted great. My friend and I shared a salad which was tasty Couldn't see much of a view because we went late in the evening but I'm sure during the day it's spectacular. They have multiple big ass fans, no really, the name of the fan company is Big Ass Fans lol so you'll be cool and bug free when you eat here as it's an outdoor establishment. The food was also mixed. My husband got a southern biscuit and gravy with fried chicken that was absolutely delicious and a large portion. Unfortunately, I got the salmon toast which was an unimpressive, slightly toasted slice of sandwich bread with a slice of salmon that was very pale in color and a little bit of topping. The service is great and we met One of the co-owners(never got his name) it was literally like getting directions and advice from a close friend! The drinks were tasty- appropriately boozie and very reasonable!! $10 margs!!! Save room for dessert!! Cheese cake was amazing so was the coconut cream pie!!!
