I find it annoying and unprofessional. They really just need to give you a good deal. The haggle situation really turns me off a lot and it's almost making me consider going to a different dealership. The dealership itself is good as far as being clean and well maintained. Other than the current construction situation that hasn't finished and over a year, the dealership is relatively easy to get to. Staff is professional and courteous. As far as the service goes, they seem to do a decent job with the service itself and the prices seem to be competitive. The only draw back that I really have noticed with the service is they take an extreme amount of time to get the job done. For instance an oil change and tire rotation is 2 hours even with an appointment. A 15k mile service is 3 and a half hours, or 4 hours if you get a wash. I would strongly recommend getting a loaner car rather than waiting in the waiting room. The service has gotten more and more lengthy time wise in the last 2 years.

From the moment I arrived, I was treated with respect and made to feel like a valued customer. This morning's exchange makes me happy that I decided to continue my regular maintenance here. There are other Toyota dealers in the area, but I have received consistent service from Toyota of Smithfield (from Sales to Service). I have purchased/leased three vehicles here and serviced them all here as well. Even when I have had issues a couple of years ago, the GM responded to my complaints and worked to resolve them. If they continue to maintain this level of service, my next car will come from this dealership as well.

BUYER BEWARE: Apparently, fingernails can void your Toyota warranty…read more I purchased my Toyota Grand Highlander brand new from Littleton Toyota in January and have owned it for only 7 months. The radio touchscreen began delaminating, so I brought it to Smithfield Toyota's service department. On my first visit, they inspected it, told me the screen was covered under warranty, ordered the replacement, and called me when it arrived. When I returned for the scheduled repair, I was sitting in the waiting area when I received a text saying the manager had decided the damage was "likely caused by nails rubbing on the screen" and was therefore considered an "outside force" and not covered under warranty. They then quoted me $5,087.09 to replace the radio. My nails are not long, and there was no damage presented to me showing that I had caused this problem. What is especially frustrating is that they had already determined it was covered, ordered the part, and had me return for the repair--only to change their decision after I arrived. A 7-month-old vehicle should not have a delaminating screen, and I certainly did not expect Toyota to blame the customer's fingernails rather than stand behind its warranty. So apparently, if you buy a Toyota and have fingernails, beware of using the touchscreen. You might end up with a delaminating screen and a $5,087.09 repair bill. Very disappointing experience with Smithfield Toyota and Toyota's warranty process.

They're great about getting you in same day and doing repairs but at a cost. I was charged a $145 diagnostic fee to diagnose my broken wipers. It was a $20something dollar part but ended up costing me $177. That's the cost of convenience. I have a warranty backed by Ford for my Nissan but they don't accept it so if I chose to service my car here for warranty work I would need to pay out of pocket then wait for refund. They also said I needed break pads and a new axel because the boot was torn and could fix it that day. I declined because I needed to get home, it was $ and I'm pretty sure my axel would be covered under warranty but they considered it wear and tear. Fast forward to last week. I brought my car to Tasca Ford in Cranston because they said they would honor my warranty and repair my car. Both axels were damaged AND covered under my warranty. FYI get a second opinion always before dishing out a ton of $ to them. Overall they seem nice and they are accommodating but definitely overpriced.

The service advisor spoke very fast and I was led to believe that there would be an additional charge of $224.95 if it was not a muffler problem and further testing and diagnosis was needed. After waiting almost 2 hours, I was told I needed a new muffler which I already knew and informed her when I walked in the door. I have absolutely no idea why I was charged $224.95 for an obvious muffler issue that I had already informed them about. They also mentioned an issue with the wheel bearings which I had known about for years and had even discussed with them in the past. $224.95 to give me a quote for a new muffler is obviously an extremely unethical amount to charge to just give me a quote for a muffler.

Ron was a fantastic salesman - incredibly helpful during the process and the whole staff was truly awesome. We had some logistical complications between traveling from out of state (and organizing ferry reservations living on an island) and the team was always willing to work with us. In addition, because my girlfriend is newer to driving and it's a 2018 vehicle, the auto shop was able to put a backup camera and display into the vehicle for us - which made the purchase both possible and greatly put at ease any concern I had for her safety. Plus, as one of us is a permanent resident - the loan application process required an exorbitant amount of paper work and hoops to jump through. While other dealerships might have bailed on the process- Tara and Ron remained communicative and committed to making sure we could complete every documentation to the satisfactory of the bank. After I purchased the car I took it to my local mechanic, who confirmed the work put into the vehicle prior to sale was great and the Jeep was in wonderful shape. We have since driven it round trip to Virginia over the course of several short days - and the ride was incredibly smooth and the car performed perfectly. I couldn't be happier with our experience, I would absolutely come back to Ron and the group at Route 146 and if we ever plan to lift or modify the Jeep I absolutely would do it here. Thanks so much!

Hello anyone reading this. This is my first time leaving a review. I'm quite the calm person. This…read moredealership is shady. I saw a vehicle I liked, and when discussing price, the finance guy told me to "get lost", and that I was "not a genuine person" after asking for a lower price to repair the damage on the vehicle that was not clearly advertised in the pictures. I have not been treated like less than human at a business before. I asked why he would say something like this, when we're just talking numbers at a business, and that emotions shouldn't be involved. They have a price they need, I have a price I need, there's nothing more than that. He told me "because I said so. Get lost". I mentioned this to the owner. The owner told me that he apologized on behalf of the finance guy. He told me that if I still wanted the vehicle, he would give it to me for what I asked and he wanted to make it right. This was Saturday before close. He told me he will "put a fork in it" as in the deal is good, and we shook hands. I called Monday with cash ready, and he told me the vehicle had sold. I'd be wary of doing business with a place like this. A vehicle is a large financial investment, and it's best not to have doubts of what you're getting into. Whatever vehicle you're looking for, I'm confident you'd be happier buying it at a different location. They don't have anything worth this type of business. People need to be treated with respect both ways. Emotions have no role in business. This is not professional. Be warned.
