This morning we decided to check out this place. Google says their French toast is to die for. So I ordered that and the wife ordered chorizo. To start I want to say they are very nice and polite. The place is very cozy, not big and not too small. I feel it is a good size for a breakfast joint. They do serve lunch but it is a good atmosphere for either. So, the French toast was good. They were crispy as described. I felt a lot of cinnamon was put onto it. And as you see in the picture I added 2 eggs on top which cut the sweetness down. I thought with the eggs it was amazing. The chorizo was not what we were use to in Texas. It was more of a sausage. I would had thought they cut it up and cut the potatoes smaller, but I do love the cast iron serve with the meal. Really allows the homemade country feel. My overall assessment was this place is nice. The food is good and it is a destination place, the atmosphere and workers make it amazing. It was a beautiful day and I was happy to be able to sit outside to have some breakfast. This was my first time at Taste and it did not disappoint. Well, I could not get my eggs poached as the kitchen said they couldn't do that, but my eggs over medium were just right. It came with home fries and toast, as well as a small green salad. It was all very good. My server, Jade, was polite, attentive and professional, as was all the other staff that I ran into. The inside was clean, including the bathroom. They did have a large case that held many bakery treats as well as one that held wine. I was very pleased! read more

Found this little place for breakfast and believe me it was so good we went back the next day while visiting the area. Sat outside and the service was excellent. Very but not too attentive, and paid attention to my special requests. The food was amazing for it being breakfast. The scrambled egg on my wife's sandwich was the fluffiest she said she has ever had from a restaurant. The short rib brisket was so well prepared it nearly melted in my mouth and the home fried potatoes were so flavorful I asked for extra the second day. I highly recommend Taste 154 and I know we will be back next time we visit this part of Pennsylvania. read more

Not only was the food fantastic, but the staff were extremely efficient, pleasant, knowledgeable and nice. Isabella was our server. She's an amazing asset to a well run establishment. Super in every way possible. That place ran so efficiently, but we were not made to feel rushed at all. We had the brioche french toast/berries. It was so special. Fried without being greasy. Coffee was so good that I had to find out who the roaster was (Santa Mama, a local roaster) so I could go there. We also had the pick-your-own omelette. I chose mushrooms, cheese and tomatoes. It was super fluffy and delicious and was cooked perfectly. It came with these amazing potatoes that had small pieces of red onion and red bell peppers in it. Also with a small mixed greens on the plate and a choice of bread. I picked rye and it was delicious. Their bread cones from an excellent local bakery. Everything was fresh and perfect. If I had to pick something to complain about, I couldn't do it. They have some kind of a liquor license because they were serving Moscow Mules, rum drinks, champagne, etc. we had planned to get one of their muffins, sweet breads, etc., but we were too full. One muffin they had was a banana muffin with cream cheese inside topped with strawberries. Their blueberry muffins were loaded with berries. They even had shortbread. Sooo mad we didn't try them. Place was slightly small, but also had outdoor dining covered with umbrellas. There were just a few steps or a ramp to get up into the place. Bathrooms were spotless too. Fantastic! I have seen this place and thought that I should try it for almost 2 years now. Finally got here for breakfast on Labor Day this year and I am really glad that I finally did. The food was excellent. Their menu is not extensive but it is all good. My friends and I tried several dishes. The place has a pleasant fun cafe sort of atmosphere. The service was very good even though they were exceptionally busy on Labor Day morning. Also it wasn't terribly noisy despite being busy. They have nice outdoor seating to double their capacity in addition to their indoor seating. The prices are reasonable for a good quality cafe. There is plenty of parking and it is conveniently located near downtown East Stroudsburg. I will definitely be coming back here in the future! read more

I visited this restaurant over the weekend and was just overall disappointed. I had my 17 month old with me and was told that they did not have highchairs. I had to try to hold my toddler still on my lap the entire time while also trying to eat and it was beyond difficult. I travel all over to thousands of restaurants and this is the first time that a restaurant said they do not have a highchair or booster seat for a child. How is a child supposed to sit and eat a meal when he can't even reach the table? Honestly, just put a sign on the door that children are not welcome and we gladly would have not come in. Any parent would understand the frustration that this brought and for this reason, I would not recommend this restaurant, nor will I be coming back. read more
