They were clearly understaffed, which was apparent from checking in with the hostess. The line of people waiting to check in with her caused the waiter taking desserts downstairs to have to wait up to five minutes with that tray. Once we were seated, we thought things might go better. Crab cake Benedict was the #1 choice for my wife and BIL, but the kids' menu didn't have the chicken and waffles the guy who called to confirm my reservation had mentioned. That was no problem because my kids have learned to find something to eat wherever we take them, and I ordered chicken and waffles to share with them because I love my kids and knew I would get enough food one way or another. The mimosa came in a wine glass because they had run out of flutes, which was fine by my wife, but she said they tasted heavier on the juice than on the prosecco. My waffles came out a bit burnt, but they replaced them with no problem when we pointed it out. My kids got fresh waffles, and I enjoyed the burnt ones. The chicken was one decent piece for a person, but split between my daughter and me was less than I had hoped for. Thankfully, the salad was a decent appetizer. When the crab cakes Benedict came, we were shocked to see a mess of scrambled eggs on a thin crab cake with an English muffin under. We always ask for hollandaise on the side because that sauce can go several different ways of bad, but in this instance we were genuinely confused how a benedict could come with anything other than poached eggs! The flavor was okay, but the texture and presentation left a lot to be desired. My wife only finished half of hers and didn't touch the limp fries. You can probably figure out how I made do with food in this instance. Our kids, meanwhile, devoured their food like we had starved them their whole lives, so on the plus side we didn't have to hear kids whining about food! Service was polite but very slow. I don't know that we'll be back. With the abundance of good restaurants in our area, it's going to be hard to justify returning here.

It was cool enough that the fans did not need to be on and it was nice to not have a distraction of televisions that permeates the inside dining area. I was greeted right away. Our server, Delaney was awesome. She made great recommendations and I loved the new lunch dish that she recommended to me: the Thai Chili Crunch Bowl. The dish was amazing with steamed jasmine rice, chicken, green onions, and more. I loved it! My husband got the lunch 6 pc wing combo. The wings were fresh and a good size. The fries were hot and seasoned. The bathroom was dark but clean. When we were getting ready to leave, someone came out and wished us a good day. Outstanding service!

Service. Strips. Sauce…read more I've been to Sidelines before and I'm never really disappointed in what I get, but it's also pretty simple bar food. The Chicken Tenders were exactly what I wanted, but I'm pretty sure I've had the exact same ones from other sports bars. I think the Tyson chicken breast strips are good (and I'd continue to get them), but they aren't really something special. I'd prefer wings and things. The sauce I got them tossed in was really really good. I got the Buffalo-aki wing sauce flavor and additionally requested the Lemon-Pepper seasoning... yum! The sweet potato fries were great. I really liked the way they were cut, and they weren't too greasy at all (like some fries). They were, however, not really seasoned... but it didn't matter when I paired it with the sauce. Which, by the way, the Honey Mustard sauce was especially good. I don't usually see Fried Green Beans on a menu, so I was expecting something really good and to add a lighter veggie to my meal, but they weren't great. While they were really tender, the breading was very thick and greasy. They tasted good in the first few bites, but it was hard to get through after a while. Would not recommend. The service at this location is particularly excellent. I had multiple people check in on me to see if I had been helped already. I was wearing a shirt with a small emblem on it, and multiple people pointed it out and thanked me for my military service. And they were all very personable and kept up a fun smile. Sidelines would be a great place to choose for wing night, and they've got lots of fun side options. It's pretty average bar food at a pretty average price.

I squeezed the lime over each taco, no need to add anything else. Just bite into your tacos, taste each morsel. The plantain was fried to peek deliciousness as my side. My meal was a delicious reminder to never alter the menu. ( never) eat it the way they describe it and enjoy the blended flavors. Five stars Luna. del Rio for the fabulous meal you served up. Stop by the bar is top notch with mixing your favorite cocktail, beer or bourbon. Or get a seat in one of their high top tables or cozy booths. All tvs are showcasing sports, so no complaining if you're not a fan. The staff is delightful eager to serve and waiting patiently for the restaurant to fill up. Come in and meet them they are great and attentive to your needs. Thank you all for being so great!! Inside or out on the patio so you can see the big screen in the green. This is a perfect spot for a first date, sports or music fans. ( tonight on the green their is a live band playing- so live music ). I am a fan and yes, we will be back to dine another day or night

I was wrong and IM GLAD. We sat outside for lunch as it's a nice day and they offer outdoor seating with or without sunshine...we preferred the shade. And the host/server was so kind and attentive. Amazing. (I will say my mother and I are the type that prefer not to be asked 100x if we need something, and get everything we need once and be left alone to enjoy our lunch basically a slow relaxed ambiance. If you're not like that I suggest you sit inside.) -To start, their chips and salsa, actually great. -My mother ordered the arandas enchiladas (idk if I spelled that right) with steak and woah, whatever sauce they use IS FANTASTIC!! -I ordered the Mexican burrito with green sauce only, I'm not the biggest fan of red sauce but wow I'm sure it's great. I can say that with confidence post lunch. 10/10 burrito. Just come and decide if I'm right or wrong about the food but I can say I LOVE IT. -sincerely a Mexican foodie

It's obvious she's a seasoned professional who aims to provide the best experience possible. She provided excellent service and made appropriate recommendations. We tried the 2 for $25- I got the 6 oz sirloin with mashed potatoes and garlic green beans & he, the chicken Alfredo. We started with Caesar salads. They had shaved Parmesan cheese and self-mixed the dressing which was great. Nobody likes it swimming in dressing! The steak was cooked medium (although I requested med-rare). I didn't say anything because although it was a little tough, it was juicy and flavorful. The mashed potatoes were ok and the green beans were delicious (& not from a can!). The alfredo is made fresh in house and the chicken is hand breaded to order. He normally doesn't like alfredo but he liked it! We thoroughly enjoyed our visit with Olivia, the remodel and the food. There were excellent options on the specials board, such as Smoked Salmon & Eggs & a Goats Cheese omelette, which are more typical of what we would usually eat. Staff was friendly and despite being a sunny summer Saturday the place wasn't busy. The staff was few in number, which slowed service a little, but we weren't in a hurry and didn't find the waits a problem. I had the Country Fried Steak with a side of sausage patties. Those patties are nearly the size of hamburger patties and are house made with plenty of flavor and a hint of heat. The steak was served with sausage gravy that had a strong twang (not the sourness of vinegar, but possibly buttermilk?). The flavor was interesting at first, but by the end of the meal that sour note became unpleasant. The biscuits were of excellent quality and I stole some of my wife's strawberry compote to finish them off. The generous egg serving was cooked over-medium which was perfect for my tastes. The breakfast potatoes weren't crisp and large chunks of potato and green peppers. I ate a few, but they were a bit stodgy for my liking and I didn't finish them. My wife's pancakes had a hint of sweetness to them and she didn't even have to use the maple syrup with them. We really enjoyed our visit and want to come back and experience the lunch and dinner menu and the wonderful decor has put it on our list of places to bring and impress out-of-town guests.
