After we finished yoga, I decided to pop in to Dobra tea and get a hot mushroom latte. I sat at one of the tables in the front room looking out at the snow falling. Almost no one was out and it was like being in the middle of a snow globe with a warm cup in my hand. Another time I was there with a friend for lunch. He ordered their avocado toast with egg, which I had never ordered before. He insisted I take a bite, which I graciously agreed to do. This is a very large shop, much larger than most boba shops, offering plenty of seating in a brightly lit environment. We tried out one small drink to start: Oolong Milk Tea, 16oz, Iced, Whole Milk, 50% Sweet w/ Boba ($6.24) - This drink has a very smoky toasty flavor that gives a pop of flavor over the whole milk. At half sweet, there's a bit of harshness from the fructose but it works in unison with the tea and doesn't hide any of the smoky tea aromas. The whole milk doesn't add any milky flavor either. It's a pretty standard drink but very good for the area. The boba is smooth and sweet, clearly having been marinated well. They aren't spherical and instead kind of lumpy but the texture and flavor are good. The texture exhibits a very pleasant bouncy chewiness.
