Donuts here are a hit or miss, not really consistent. We've came here multiple times throughout the year since it's close to us, and for the most part the donuts have been good. We've gotten stale tasting donuts maybe twice and sometimes the glazes on the donuts didn't look the best on one occasion. But we've had good batches more than bad, and we've always had pretty good customer service. We came in yesterday morning and they looked good and tasted great. They were soft, sweet, and delectable. The donuts are pretty basic, nothing mind blowing but this place does the job when we just want a decent donut and don't want to drive far. read more

Every doughnut we tried was delicious. The bear claws with apple filling were a favorite. Such a big improvement over places like greasy Banbury Cross. Service was quick for all the people that were waiting in line. Will definitely stop in again when in Kaysville. read more

Ordered 4 sandwich bundles, not a single sandwich was as ordered. 2 Turkey sandwiches were ham, a Reuben was barbecue Beef with sauerkraut and the French dip with no cheese was covered with extra cheese. After 45 minutes the order was finally finished. At that time I was told they couldn't do fries since the fryer wasn't on. There was only one guy working. He had not help and was trying to help customers and make sandwiches. Several times he mentioned it was his first day. The owner needs to reassess their business model and if they can't provide service they shouldn't be open. read more

Stopped in after a Saturday morning lacrosse match and the place was PACKED around 10:00 am. They seemed a bit understaffed as there was a steady line of 10-12 customers throughout or visit, but the Tasty's customer service team was courteous and professional. My daughter and I each had a delicious, warm sprinkle donut on the drive home, and WOW were they good. Not sure if all the donuts are served warm, or maybe those that we ordered were freshly made, but either way ... oh my was that a good donut! No more grumbling about having to drive from SLC to Kaysville for a lacrosse match--win or lose we will be rewarding our travel effort with some Tasty's donuts. read more

I went in to Tasty's after reading some reviews. The donuts were great, but the lady at the register was dishonest about the total price. She told me one price and another price showed up on my bank history. It was a small amount, but if they are doing this to every customer they are getting hundreds a week by being dishonest! This donut shop needs to move and their sales would triple or quadruple. Tasty's is not in or near a retail corridor, but they make incredible donuts. I bought the glazed cake, white cake with coconut, white cake with peanuts, and double blueberry. All four were better than all or most donut shops from Lehi to Ogden, plus their donuts are about $1.00 less than Banberry Cross in Centerville and Layton. The blueberry donut was everything I was hoping that it would be. A nice but light coat of blueberry frosting glazed the top of the donut and the cake was soft with only the slightest crunch. A few blueberries were mixed into the icing and batter as well it seemed. As one who doesn't usually like cake donuts, I must say that my tastebuds perked up after the first bite of this donut! We also tried their donut holes and the regular and chocolate glazed donuts but the cake donuts are definitely the thing to get here. They had a small but steady crowd early on a holiday morning and service was quick. The prices were decent at $0.99 per donut and $8.99 for a dozen. I took your advice, Yelpers, and after buying a whole ton of donuts and being faced with that question of "but which one should I try?" and you all told me blueberry. You done me right, Yelpers. You done me right. You led me in the right direction because that blueberry donut is indeed a thing of beauty. It's softer than I expected, but not as sweet as it might have been--that's a good thing--and just the right amount of fruit and glaze. The kid running the register was helpful. He filled up the mixed boxes quickly, and even though the variety was not great later in the day, we did okay with a sampling of every variety remaining. I love these types of Mom and Pop sandwich shops. The Italian and Reuben are our favorites. This sandwich shop also serves fries -- which for me is a bonus. BEWARE!! Tasty's has been a family favorite & tradition for over 30 years! As I opened the door today though,the smell of bleach was overwhelming! Also odd, was a case full of donuts (at 3 or 4 pm), and a staunch glare (contrary to the friendly welcome that is customary). My questions were met with rude responses. I am pretty sure there are new owners. There are 2 new sandwich type pastries in the case. I could not stay to order. Something is just not right there. I had to quickly leave. I work close to Tasty's and it has always been a favorite. But over the last year it has been a complete mess. They are disorganized, always out of food, I can never get the sandwich I came in for. Seems like the food orderer needs to be fired. The owner talks to people on her ear pod while trying to check people out, very rude! My favorite donuts in the state of Utah. I agree with other reviewers--the blueberry cake donuts are delicious. That being said, the real star of the show is their yeast raised chocolate iced doughnut. The doughnut itself is big and fluffy, with just the right amount of chewy goodness. The icing is the perfect consistency, not too dry, not too wet. It melts perfectly in the mouth. In other words, no evidence of donut eating will be left in your car. Go early because they sell out quickly. read more

We went to Tasty's because we had a coupon for a buy one get one in the Wasatch Savings book we purchased. We ordered our doughnuts and they would not honor the coupon saying that that coupon only applies to sandwiches or other menu items...even though doughnuts were on the menu and they have pictures of doughnuts in the ad they placed in the Wasatch Savings book. I find this super frustrating, what's the point of purchasing the savings book if companies will not honor the deals. As for the doughnuts themselves we ordered a double blueberry which was actually super delicious, a maple glazed cinnamon swirl which was good not great, and an apple fritter that was burnt to a crisp and inedible and they oil tasted super old. Will probably stick to Bowman's doughnuts in the future. read more

They definitely have a decent donut here. I got a dozen and the kids gobbled them up. They were soft and had good flavor. We went on a Saturday about 10:00 and we had quick service. The only thing holding me back from 5 stars is the selection. I've been here a couple times now and the selection of donuts is limited. A few varieties of raised and cake donuts. I am sure that is intentional on the company's part to make sure they produce only the best quality, but it would be nice to have a bit more selection. read more
