On May…read more19th, all four tires were replaced by technician Kelly Crain under service advisor Michael Takanashi-Perez. I paid nearly $1,000 for this. When I attempted to leave, my driver's side rear tire was grinding against my rear bumper guard. This damage was not present before my vehicle was in their care, as evidenced by two passed North Carolina state vehicle inspections from September 2025. I did not leave the premises. I went back inside immediately. Michael Takanashi-Perez acknowledged he should have called me but claimed he assumed I already knew. He did not. Neither did technician Kelly Crain. Whoever drove my car to the front heard the grinding and said nothing. Their own inspection report photographed my driver's rear wheel well with the tire removed, giving them a clear and unobstructed view of the bumper guard's position, and documented nothing specific about it contacting the tire. When I raised concerns, they blamed the new tires having deeper tread than the worn ones. This is implausible. The difference between 5/32nd and 10/32nd tread depth is approximately 4mm, less than the length of a fingernail. All four tires received the same negligible tread increase. Only one is grinding. I have had tires replaced and rotated multiple times since the bumper was damaged in 2018 and this never once happened. On May 22nd I called to follow up after no manager contact as promised. I was called by Justin, then by Michael Takanashi-Perez, who asked me to come in. I made two Uber trips at my own expense based on their promise to attempt a repair. Approximately 15 minutes after dropping off my vehicle, before it could have reasonably been brought into a bay and a repair attempted, I received a text saying they couldn't help. Michael and Sheree were conveniently absent when I arrived to pick up my car. No service ticket documenting what was "attempted" was available. No bay camera footage from May 19th has been provided despite repeated requests. They produced a second inspection report with the car lifted off the ground. Gravity naturally shifts the bumper away from the tire when the car is not bearing its own weight. This was not a repair. This was documentation for their own legal protection. I am a disabled, neurodivergent, LGBTQ+ woman. I was treated dismissively at every turn, talked down to, and stonewalled. Formal complaints have been filed with the Oklahoma Attorney General's Consumer Protection Unit and with my insurance company. Do not bring your vehicle here, especially if you are a woman, disabled, or LGBTQ+. They will damage your car, deny it, and make you jump through hoops while they cover their tracks.

Anyway, I usually go to a neighboring oil change express in Sand Springs but they were closed Monday so I decided to give these guys a try. I was given a cost considerably higher than what I was used to for an equal quality service and I mentioned this to one of the techs on duty. I decided it was too expensive and drove off to find another only to not even make it out of the parking lot and I decided to just bite the bullet and save the time. When I went back the same tech told me in a very rude way it would be the price he had mentioned and I said that's fine I just need it done. I didn't argue about the price or ask for a discount. I did find a coupon and asked the owner inside if he would honor it and he gladly did so and had a great attitude about it. My issue is with the two techs who performed the work. When it was time to pay I asked if they checked the air filter. He said "No, since you complained about the cost we didn't do any pulls," which the other tech told me he meant he didn't do the actual service that I agreed to pay for. I also asked if they topped off the other fluids and he said no. I asked the other tech if it was part of the normal service and he said yes, those should have been checked as well. He told me to pull back up and he would top off the wiper fluid. I thanked him for doing that and he just walked away. I again said thank you and he continued ti ignore me. Terrible attitude! He didn't even offer to complete the service by checking the air filter or any other items that he had already told me were part of the usual service for which I had already paid. I really hate that the first visit went this way but it's no way to build a relationship with customers. Guess I'll be waiting until my usual place is open on Tuesdays west of town.

My experience with Danny's automotive was not a good one. I had my vehicle in this shop twice. The…read morefirst time was ok-ish, though I found personal documents left in my vehicle that raised some concerns about them driving my vehicle outside the scope of repairs. Needless to say, I was really paying attention the 2nd time I had to take my vehicle there. I say had to because the shop I really wanted was having technical equipment failures and Danny's was the only other option. When I finally got my vehicle back, they had put over 100 miles on it, kept it past the day they were supposed to have finished the repairs, broke my inside paneling to the point that it will no longer stay in place preventing the rear vent windows from operating properly, and stole my gas cap. My gas cap is a locking cap and rather than asking for the key (which shouldn't have been necessary as my gas tank is a 33.5 gallon large capacity tank that was just above 3/4 full with a digital readout of 305 miles to empty) they broke into it and kept the cap. I'll never again under any circumstances trust my vehicle in the hands of the folks working at the Danny's Automotive in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. One star because the scale doesn't have negative options.
