Jenny is incredible! I went to her on the recommendation of a friend and I am so happy I did. As an advanced MT I can say she really knows her stuff. I came in for some serious deep tissue work, not the standard relaxation massage. I've had a couple of injuries that have caused my body to lock up, creating several problem areas and issues with my mobility and constant straining. In a single session, she woke my body up and turned on the lights. Not going to lie, it's the next day and I feel like a I've been hit by a Mac Truck. This is a solid indication that she got some serious work done. My range of motion already increased and I can feel the healing starting to begin. I was in desperate need of a facial. Since this was my spot for massages, I decided to check out their Northshore location. I was super excited for my much needed facial. The service was scheduled for an hour and half. Mary is the only aesthetician, she's also the owner. She took me back to the room 10 minutes after my scheduled time, and we talked about my skin for 5 minutes. We didn't get started until 15 into my appointment. Mary was very knowledgeable about all things aesthetics. She educated me on what my skin needed for maximum hydration, how to properly exfoliate, and she even recommended products that would work well for my skin type. After speaking with Mary, I feel better equip to correct my hyperpigmentation and reduce blemishes. She finished my facial 5 minutes early. My service was cut short by a total of 20 minutes. Right to start with the spa employee greets you, and takes you on a tour. You have a room to change and to lock your personal items in. They have a good selection of sizes of robes and shoes. You then said in a cozy area, with cookies, chocolates, and flavored water. They also give you a chance to order wine. Even call your name and introduce themselves as your masseuse. They take you back to a comfortable little room with music and choice of aroma therapy. it is great that these little extras don't cost more but are included. I had a wonderful massage. When I was getting up from the table my masseuse went and turned on the steam shower. It was a wonderful experience that I did not want it to end. read more

Have been using Longevity ever since I've moved to Knoxville! I chose them because they have an introductory rate but have stuck with them because they have excellent therapists and amenities. I've only used the Bearden location the past year but it is very nice. Walk in, receive a complimentary drink (wine,champagne) and change in a private room with private lockers. The women's lounge is nice and has snacks. I've used many different therapists but finally clicked with Owen- highly recommend him! I also think it's great they send out "last minute opening" specials- they will email / text notifying of any last minute opening and the 60 and 90 min rates are ~$10 cheaper. Overall I think it's a very nice business, has great therapists, and the price is what you'd expect. I'd say it's not cheap like a chain business but also not crazy expensive like smaller independent businesses. read more

I called in requesting a specific therapist, based on their specialties and referral. Mind you, this was my first time. When I got to the spa I was greeted, and eventually taken back to the lounge. When I got to the back I guess I was expecting more - Spas like this normally have a 15 min relaxation spa foot bath, prior to your massage. (Apparently I have extremely high expectations). Fast forward... my therapist came in, didn't introduce herself; however, she was very nice! I just assumed she was the specialist I requested a week prior. She did my massage, a nice massage, but I was a bit taken back when she didn't utilize the tools that were highlighted in her bio, and referral. But It was a good Swedish massage. When I was checking out, I had said, "please let "Lindsay" know..." this is when I was told, that wasn't Lindsay who massaged you - That was Jenny. Lindsay didn't come into today. Never once was I told, or contacted, that the person I specifically requested wasn't going to be there or working on me. That all said, my review is not for bad massage work, it's for the lack of communication given by management and/or front desk. It should have been disclosed to me, I wasn't getting the person I specifically requested/ was referred to - The person specifically needed that day. It was as if it didn't matter, when clearly with a specific request and referral, it did matter! To me! - Plus, I didn't get to experience what my money was earmarked for that day. I am a bit disappointed - but, like I said, not in the nice massage Jenny gave me - but in the lack of communication. I felt like it didn't matter to anyone as long as they got their money and I got the attempt of what I was there for. Note that there are two Longevity Massage locations (but seemingly only one listing on Yelp) - this review is based on an experience at the Bearden Hills location. I was extremely impressed with my time at Longevity - it feels like a luxurious resort despite the fact that it occupies a spot in a strip mall. My boyfriend and I came in for a couples massage, and despite arriving before they officially open, were welcomed in, given a drink of our choice (mimosa and bourbon), and allowed to wait for our appointment in the respective men's and women's changing areas. They have lockers for you to store your things, and very comfy robes. Our massage therapists were fantastic - they had the right level of communication to ensure we liked the massage while also allowing us to relax. My boyfriend in particular gets tension headaches, and his therapist did an amazing job relieving the tension - he has not had headaches since. I'm not as into massages as most people and have had negative experiences elsewhere in the past, but felt comfortable and relaxed the whole time at Longevity. After the massage, you have the option to use the steam showers as well. They have shampoo, deodorant, combs, and other personal hygiene products for anyone to use. The rates were very reasonable (typically $75 for 60 min massage), and they offer an introductory rate (down to $59 per person) if it's your first time - just call when booking your appointment to verify that it applies. They also allow you to add tip to a credit card (ie. no stress at the end if you don't have cash on hand). Thank you for a relaxing visit - we hope to be back! read more

From being greeted at the front door, to the ambience, to being offered snacks & drinks, to including essential oils of our choosing, to onsite lockers, to onsite steam showers, and their weighted comfy robes, we felt that this place was going above and beyond what other massage parlors offer. My partner and I requested deep tissue massages when booking and were paired with two awesome massage therapists - Ellie and Michele. They were both great, very professional and knowledgeable! My partner said it was the best massage ever. I would say mine was close to tying for my best, but the customer service was the best (even better than Disney's Grand Floridian spa). He made my little guy feel comfortable by putting us in the same room and even let me hang in the men's quarts before the massages since there weren't any other men waiting. I booked my same day massage through the Facebook message option. Response time was incredibly fast. Impressive. Especially for a Saturday AND on a holiday weekend. A few tidbits for those of you who get frequent massages and know the ropes. 1. Longevity has a Men's and a Women's lounge area. Inside the lounge there is comfortable seating, magazines, fruit infused water, and a small variety of high quality snacks. 2. Upon entering the customer is offered wine, champagne (I think. I don't drink.), water or a Mimosa. Whoa! 3. They have a locker room for your belongings. Each locker has a nice size, high quality robe in it. Nicer than any hotel I've stayed at. Also there is a rack with sandals of all sizes so you don't walk around in stocking or bare feet. 4. The massage rooms are very simply decorated. Minimalist. 5. The music in my room was guitar instrumental of a variety of music. No Pam flutes, no crashing waves, no seagulls, no Indian music. 6. Tables have a heat option. Room temperature is moderate. I was very comfortable without the heat on the table. 7. Post massage you are offered a cup of infused water. Mine was cinnamon and orange. Wow! 8. Post massage you are offered to STEAM for 15 minutes in a private room and then shower. There are scented oils to choose from that you can drop into the steamer. Inside the steam room are large towels, shower cap, razors, shampoo/conditioner, shower gel, hair style products, blow dryer, and disposable tooth brushes. There are 11 massage therapists at Longevity. I selected Travis because he came HIGHLY recommended. Something tells me that EVERYBODY wants Travis. After my hour long massage, I know why and it's not just because he is easy in the eyes. He's very talented, strong, and experienced. He also happens to own the spa! Longevity is worth going to. I rarely give an establishment five stars, but Longevity Massage earned them. From the friendly greeting upon arrival to my departure, I recieved quality, top-notch services. The salon itself is beautifully decorated and even more relaxing. I recieved a 90 minute massage from Connor, and it was amazing. He used just enough pressure to address my complaints and never used pressure heavy enough to cause me any pain. Connor was respectful of my privacy, never leaving me exposed, as some massage therapist have before. He was professional and, as a first time client of his, I felt uncomfortable with him, which isn't always the case. The pain in my upper back and shoulders subsided before I even left the salon. I have chronic back pain and getting relief can be difficult at times, but Connor was able to relase quite a bit of muscle strain and soreness that was quickly getting worse. I will be recommending Connor to other potential clients. I know I will definitely book more appointments at Longevity with Connor again. read more

I had the worst experience at Longevity. My masseuse was fantastic. The customer service was the worst I've ever experienced. When I arrived the girl at the front told me they had a partial power outage, therefore there would be no music and no robes were available. Ok that's disappointing when you are paying full price for the spa experience, but stuff happens. She said I would just get dressed in my treatment room since there were no robes. An inconvenience but not major. What she neglected to tell me was that the heat was out to the building and also they were unable to heat the massage tables. I did not know this until I had already gotten naked in my chilly room and laid down on the cold table. When the masseuse entered I told him that the table was cold and then he informed me they weren't working due to the power issue. No music, no robes, chilly treatment rooms, cold tables. I told him I thought I should rebook. But then I thought better about it. I had cleared my schedule so I could go that afternoon and that is really hard to do. I don't get massages often and really needed one after the holidays so I would just go ahead and get it. No offer for an extra blanket or anything. Then when he put his hands on me I almost yelled. His hands were ice cold. I told him and he was like 'yeah sorry about that'. I was thinking, can't you go run your freezing hands under some hot water or something?? Anyway about 10 minutes in to the massage his hands warmed up which was good. But I'm cold natured and my hands and feet were freezing throughout my treatment because of the unheated table. Also some employees were standing outside my treatment room and carrying on laughing and talking loudly for quite some time. I already don't have music. Come on! I will say my massage was excellent and I was very pleased with him. But the experience was disappointing, especially because I rarely treat myself to a massage or anything. Yes I'm paying for the massage but I am also paying for, and expecting to be pampered for just an hour to take me out of the daily grind. This is what was lacking and disappointing. Because that isn't what I got. Of course I was charged full price and when I said something to the lady up front (different lady then the one who wasn't forthcoming when I checked in) she said she didn't have any control over anything and couldn't discount my service or make amends in any way. She said she would let the owner know. We will see if I hear anything. If I do l, I will happily change my review. But in my opinion all clients should have been called before arrival and fully told what was going on there and the staff should have suggested rebooking if they care at all about the comfort of their guests. I would go back if the owner makes some kind of amends because my masseuse was really good. But if Longevity won't make things right I will stick with Spa Visage, which has always been super professional and a great experience. read more

How is this place not rated more?! I'm so happy I found longevity! I travel for work and rely pretty heavily on these reviews for massages in the area. When I saw that this was a little more spa-esque (with a steam shower, etc) I was initially detoured. In my experience, spas provide more relaxing (I call "froo froo") massages than what I look for in a massage (deep pressure). Boy was I wrong- this place is absolutely a slice of heaven! Now, I am SURE they provide an excellent relaxing massage for those of you out there that prefer that, but I don't and told my therapist and front desk (when I called to make the appt) my preference of a firmer massage. I checked in and was taken to a small, relaxing waiting room (note: this is in a plaza- therefore there is easy parking). I changed into a robe and read some magazines before going to my massage- this definitely put my mind in the right headspace for a massage. Usually I am on my phone working till the second I see the therapist. But when you change into your robe, there are lockers to put all personal items and it was nice to already be put in "massage" mode. I met my therapist (Kay Kay) and the session was AWESOME. I truly was surprised due to my preconceived notions of massages at a spa-like atmosphere. She is an LMT and it was like she knew where my knots were going and attacked them head on. She provided the perfect amount of pressure and she did not ignore any part of my body. If her hands felt an issue in an area, she worked on it! I am so impressed and just so blown away at how great my massage was. After my massage, I brought my things from the locker area to the steam/shower room and steamed. Note: I had the last appointment for the day and everyone (front desk and Kay Kay) NEVER made me feel rushed. They wanted me to enjoy my time in the steam room and enjoy the amenities their place had to offer. I do not think they will ever realize how much that means to me. Yes- I paid for a service BUT i also understand when people want to go home lol. But I honestly could have stayed longer and they would not have minded. I truly feel blessed. Thank you Kay Kay and staff! One thing I LOVED was add ons (hot stone, aromatherapy, steam, etc) are free with your session. Just ask the front desk what the complimentary add ons are, and let the therapist know which you want to do. I did the steam and it was such a perfect experience and complimented my massage experience in such a positive way. Normally add ons cost extra at other places and it always feels like they are nickeling and diming you during a time you are supposed to be relaxing. This was the exact opposite of longevity and honestly- I've never seen a massage place do it this way and think it's pretty commendable and- again- added to the positive experience I had. Lastly- 1st time massages are $59. VERY good price. It includes all the amenities. I am staying at an Airbnb and I am planning on recommending longevity on the Airbnb reviews so other travelers can try it out! It really is a slice of heaven. read more

You get a big fluffy robe, a complimentary glass of champagne, a top-notch massage (hot stones included), and a steam for a very reasonable price. I wanted a medium-pressure massage with focus on my left shoulder, where I have constant tension and spasms from an accident. He listens to my concerns but then also uses his skills to identify problem areas.
