Well, nothing's changed in decades. Still friendly, clean, quick, with great gringo Mex. It's also easily accessible from the interstate, and always super-busy. As usual, we got wicked full, and brought a ton back to our RV, haha. Glad to pay them another dinner visit...

I don't have much in the way for bookmarks for Moses Lake and hardly any restaurants for the city…read morebut I did have El Rodeo in my list to try. I got one of their combinations on their menu. A cheese enchilada and bean tostada as well as rice and beans. For one it's a bit bean heavy since the tostada is a bean one and the you also have refried beans on the side. Perhaps to reduce that the tostada should be a guacamole tostada. The food isn't all that spicy. In fact it's a bit on the bland side but despite that I nearly finished my entire combination plate so I must have been hungry and the food wasn't all that bad. But it wasn't the most memorable Mexican meal I had but I will freely admit I am a serious snob when it comes to Mexican food. So would I come back? Well, Moses Lake is still largely unexplored by me and the couple of stops I made I passed by a lot of different restaurants so I'd say "never say never" but it isn't a major priority to come back but in a pinch I wouldn't rule out on a return either. I just was looking for something spicier and perhaps more authentic.

wow...thank GOODNESS we recently missed the west-bound Moses Lake exit to S******ks, and found Taco…read moreEl Ray Espresso at the next exit (172)!!! It's true - the best parts of travel are found in the detours!!! It was early (6AM), we were tired, hungry and just plain crabby for all of it. We waited, in (crabby) silence, while the truck in front of us in the drive-thru took away a HUGE order of food & multiple coffees. It was a good sign indeed!!! So. Our turn. We ordered from the generous menu of items hand-made-to-order; yummy truck food with a generous splash of Mexican spice and care. I had an incredible pesto stuffed homemade bagel, and my husband had an overflowing breakfast taco. SO GOOD!!! This is NOT fast food - you may actually have to wait 4 minutes (!!!!), but OMG!!! worth every second. And wait - that's not all...BEST. COFFEE. EVER! Fabulous aroma & flavor! This was all served by the kindest human being, who cheerfully shared that she's up and at work there by 5AM, 6 days a week. Otherwise, she "sleeps in" and is there by 7AM...!!! So, to anyone looking for a destination breakfast on I-90 a stones throw from Moses Lake, we'll see you there. We salute the hard-working & generous Team Taco El Ray Espresso! You made a huge difference in our entire travel experience, and, maybe, just maybe, saved our marriage (you know, missing an exit? hungry? tired? no coffee? )

Although I am unlikely to be back in the area, I am sure to come back if I do.
