Once I found MJ, I knew it was she! It was easy to schedule an initial consult over email. I had sent some examples ahead of time, but we ended up talking a lot since I seemed drawn to a lot of different styles or subjects. Ultimately, when I saw the design MJ created, it was spot on - beyond what I could have described. She totally knew how to translate my jumbled thoughts into something beautiful. My design was $2k+, and it took just under 3 hours. MJ is serious about her craft. She was very focused, not too much chitchat. She has a different healing regimen than I had heard before, but it healed incredibly well. I took advantage of the free touch up (within 6 months). It only took 10 minutes. Worth it! Pay as much as you can in cash to avoid the credit card fee. Highly recommend for geometric, organic, moody, and elegant designs.

He's also very fast when it comes to tattooing but that doesn't mean sacrificing quality. I've had him do a huge leg piece that would've taken prob 2-3x longer at another artist. I recently came back to add something to his existing piece and get many compliments on how cute everything turned out. So glad he finally has his own shop to collaborate with other artists. He is truly an expert at what he does.

Initially, I was going for 3 inches, but the owner advised that the line over time would expand and recommended me to go for 5 inches instead. The extra 2 inches was less than $100 .. So I don't see how the other reviews are saying they make them pay a tip of $200 or more etc. such Bs. Another thing I want to mention is the artist and the owner will measure the size of the tattoo then quote you.. I really don't see how people are saying it's overcharged. Please don't give out a bad review just cause you came afford it. I myself also have a finger tattoo. A bad one. Because I had the size really small and it expended and faded like crazy over time. It is what it is. My tattoo artist at the time didn't inform me anything. So shout out to the owner recommending me the size and didn't even charge me much for the extra two inch. And of course, I won't be all talk and not show my tattoo and give these gentlemen their credit. 4 months now, still like a brand-new tattoo like yesterday. Take good care of your body, your skin. I left the area two days later to return home. My $200 "simple" tattoo now looks like this. Upon arriving home, I reached out to the artist who told me to give it more time to heal. I knew this wasn't an issue of healing but rather a blowout. I then reached out to the shop and they told me I could come in for a retouch, although I had mentioned I live in Seattle. Now I have not heard back after reminding them I can't come in. My options are to spend more money to add to this tattoo and cover the blowout (not what I want to do seeing as I wanted this to be simple), or pay a ton of money for removal. An offer of a refund or acknowledgment following figuring out I can't travel for a touch up would have been appreciated. Now I am stuck dealing with this on my arm. :( Definitely not a tattoo to show off.

They have decent reviews on another site, but If you read them, people either had a good experience with a tatoo artist who is no longer there or they had a good experience getting a piercing. I live about 5 minutes from here so I checked it out and wanted to get a tatoo of a record with the Wu-tang logo in it. I had an official drawing set up and went to book with Carlos. When I went there for the appointment, he changed the design up. I was cool with it because it looked a lot like graffiti art. But when he was done, he painted in the needle in the record player which made it look terrible. He didn't seem to understand that his first design looked like graffiti art and I liked it, but when he colored in the needle and make it realistic, it made the record look stupid. I had no choice but to go back, pay more to set up the colors and have him fill in the record. Unfortunately, he couldn't make the record look as realistic as I would have expected because he already messed up the lines with his graffiti looking design. I'm ok with the final product, but it could have been better. I almost feel like he did what he did to make me go back and spend more money. I did appreciate that he wanted to make me happy when I was so disappointed with what he did at first. While I was getting tatted up, people were coming in for piercings. I was amazed that we were all out in one open space and it didn't seem like the cleanest, most sanitary environment for all those possible bodily fluids in the air, but everybody else didn't seem to notice. Of course as I lay there on my stomach, I kept thinking, does anybody ever clean this place? I went back looking for Carlos to give him another go on a Star Wars tat I wanted to get. Carlos wasn't there, so I talked to this guy "Brisk" I also wanted to get a tat of Ryu, and they had street fighter in the front, so I figured I would get the street fighter tat I wanted and then see what I wanted to do about the Star Wars tat I also want. Somebody made an unauthorized transaction on my debit card this week and so I called the bank and and asked for a new card. I went to the bank today to take out cash, but they were closed, I forgot it was Indigenous People's day. I went to my appointment and explained to Brisk, that I'm waiting for them to send me a new debit card and the bank was closed today. I told him I have Apple Pay, I showed him my bank account app so he can see that I have the money, and asked if he would hold a check and I'll bring him cash tomorrow, or he can cash the check. He would only take cash or cash app. They didn't have the ability to run my apple credit card because they don't have the card reader. I downloaded the cash app but without a debit card, I couldn't do it. He said he could reschedule me, but I told him, if you don't trust me, I don't trust you. At this point, I'd feel more comfortable driving a little farther and getting a tat from somebody that has their own clean work area, a place that accepts something other than cash. Be sure and check out the artists work on Instagram and not to chose this place based on their overall reviews.
