I got my first tattoo done here, as well as my second! My first time was great: they accepted walk-ins and were really friendly! The studio is nice and quiet, and it's really cool! None of my tattoos hurt! They were gentle and precise! My second tattoo (the infinity sign on my arm) was with my family! We all enjoyed it & my mom (who has a low pain tolerance) said it didn't hurt at all. After each session, they give you a goodie bag with moisturizer and stickers! Definitely recommend coming here! Some things to note though: 1. Their minimum is $100 or $105, something like that. 2. If your tattoo starts to fade or needs fixing, they'll offer to retouch it before 3 months. I want to write a complaint about my Tattoo Artist that I had yesterday. while I was waiting for my tattoo there were two young women with a four month old baby the comment that fox said to grow up to the infant was completely disgusting and I messaged him today because my second skin peeled off by itself and his words.. after I asked if I could come to the shop to get it reapplied to protect my investment that I gave him he very rudely said no you cannot come to the shop to get more second skin. While on vacation in Miami, I brought my daughter in for a rook piercing Monday night. Ray supervised while an apprentice did the piercing, which was never disclosed to us that she was an apprentice. Mariale is knowledgeable about the various gauges and piercing with the appropriate length to accommodate swelling. Clean station, cleaned my ear thoroughly. Excellent instructions for aftercare and provided cleanser. Provided detailed information on the jewelry and downsizing. Appears to be a new piercer. I was in town for a conference and had seen Edson's work and loved it I was really fortunate to be able to get a tattoo by him as a walk-in. I couldn't have been more pleased. I took some pictures of things I liked and left the rest up to his artistry. All I can say is wow, he exceeded all expectations and took my ideas and turned them into exactly what I wanted. His line work is impeccable and his shading technique is beautiful. Although I wanted mostly black/gray, I did want a few areas of color for accent and he did a beautiful job with the colors as well, even making 2 areas have a jewel effect. I have 9 piercings and have never had a problem with any of them, I had my nose done here and it's been 5 months of nightmare. The piercer clearly didn't know what he was doing. He told me he could pierce with a hoop instead of a stud and others didn't do that because "they didn't know how". He also told me as I was leaving to "spin the hoop" to help it heal, which I know is also totally wrong (had the same piercing before). I looked him up on the website after I left and he wasn't even on it-- not sure why they were letting a rando amateur pierce unsupervised. I finally had it removed today and it turns out I didn't even have a piercing because he put it in incorrectly (only a third of the metal had gone all the way through my nose). Super irresponsible of the business owners. I've had a swollen, painful face for 5 months. RESPONSE TO OWNER: Hey Ken. I did call you guys. The piercing girl Bella offered to do my bridge piercing for free since it was her first one. I paid $20 for the jewelry and $10 tip. Zhe picked out a barbell which was wayyy too long and the piercing wasn't straight. She offered to do it over again with a smaller barbell. She pierced it a second time. The barbell was perfect but again it wasn't straight. She again offered to do it over for free next time in in town. I won't be in town again for 4 months and am not prepared to have her keep making holes in my bridge till she gets it right. At this point I want my money back. I paid for jewelry and aftercare which at this point are useless since I have no piercing after two "free" attempts. If I wanted a barbell and saline solution I would have went to Unimax in Manhattan and gotten a barbell for $5. I was gonna remove my review but you people insist on being arrogant to people who don't give you five stars. Maybe in the future don't permit someone to do a piercing without proper guidance. She was super knowledgeable and made sure I understood the proper aftercare for when I left. I also witnessed her deal with a NIGHTMARE of a client. (watched the entire interaction from start to finish). after she did his piercing, he decided to change jewelry. Even though the policy is no returns/exchanges, she allowed him to switch jewelry. while sanitizing he says I don't like your service I don't want anything. THIS GIRL WAS SO KIND THE ENTIRE TIME WITH THIS MAN AND HE CONTINUED TO THROW A TANTRUM. My sister decided to finally bite the bullet and get herself inked - long overdue according to her. We worked with Batman, who took about 20 minutes to give my sister a tattoo that she loves! I think the place is a little pricey, but it's your bod we are talking about - I would pay more to have a good artist do his job and give me something awesome than work with an amateur etc. Regardless, my one problem with this place - they have multiple artists who work here - and there always seems to be disconnect between all of them - they all have different prices, which are never consistent, their timings vary etc etc. It makes sense - each artist is different - I get it, but regardless, it is annoying to have to explain yourself to a different person each time you walk in. The care regimen suggested by each artist also differs, which is fairly annoying to me. anyways, my sister's tattoo looks great and she loves it - she also got a piercing here last year, which did great, so all in all thumbs up to the place :) ps - carry cash - they charge a fee for using a credit card, no matter what the amount, which sucks. read more

My husband and I went to Miami for our anniversary. I wanted to get a tattoo with my husband's name on it. He also wanted a new tattoo. Because it was South Beach it took us over an hour to get parking (which we ended up paying for) at Miami Ink. We went in and it was nice inside, but we were not treated all that well. In fact, it was like they didn't need us and we were blessed to be there. After waiting about 20 minutes I went up and told they guy what I wanted, something very small. I wasn't happy with his response. So we walked out and googled other tattoo parlors. Lou's came up with positive reviews. Lou's was a short walk away and when we walked in we were greeted by Chief. From the start he was helpful, nice and patient. I wasn't sure what I wanted as far as fonts and wasn't sure where I wanted it. He really took his time to give me options, tell me what areas were most painful and drawing up a cute (and small) tattoo. Chief did the tattoo and it was cute and simple. He was very nice and gave us a price that was half what Miami Ink quoted (and they didn't even know what we wanted yet). My husband was unsure what he wanted so we went to a local bar and googled all kinds of things. We took some pics back to Chief and he gave my husband a very cool tattoo with great detail. The shop was small, but nice. They were concerned with all the tools being sterile which was great. Will was working as well. Both Chief and Will were friendly, helpful and very nice. They felt like friends by the time we left. If we get any more tattoos we will be driving the 3 1/2 hours back to Miami...to Lou's. read more

So glad I did! I knew I wanted a red rose but not your typical "cut-out"/stencil red rose. Did I mention I was late for my appointment? Oops. Wilson gave me a little crap but I still love him :) Kiki was my tat artist and let me tell you, he has such a light hand I almost fell asleep. Then again, they gave me a blowpop and I got to watch Simpsons on TV lol.
