The staff are all very welcoming, friendly, and sweet, they treat you with a lot of love. Kevin is an amazing artist, he is very professional, and honest. Very humble, and has amazing visions that are never wrong (so if he tells you something else would look better; it's really true!) I got an appt via IG, my friend recommended me to go to Sylvia, she was awesome, clean lines and gave me exactly what I wanted. My gf went with me for moral support, as Sylvia was finishing up my second tattoo the manager/owner kept on being rude to customers that came in, not only that but I think he was training a new girl and he was SO RUDE to her in front of customers, and to top it off he told my gf with the biggest attitude "YOU KNOW YOU SHOULDN'T BE TOUCHING HER" (my gf was studying, using her iPad by my legs and was not moving me at all, unfortunately she was standing up because all chairs were busy one of them by the asshole that made her feel like shit). Anyways he kept going on about how she shouldn't be touching me bla bla bla bla. He could've been a gentlemen about it and simply said "hey why don't you sit here, that way you are both comfortable" instead he raised his voice and embarrassed her in front of the entire shop. My blood boiled I wanted to tell him so bad that is not how you talk to women. Sylvia WAS AMAZING! if you want a last minute tattoo go to her! And ignore the asshole owner/boss. szisci_cc that is the IG handle of Sylvia she was my tattoo artist. She did an incredible job. She was kinda, respectful and patient. I got a piercing 3 weeks ago and this morning it came out from my ear, so I went to have it checked and I did not receive good attention from someone who was sitting on one of the sofas (I imagine one of the owners or workers) The only thing he told me was that the person who pierced me was no longer working there and that I should come back at 5pm to see if the other piercer could attend me. My friend and I walked in and we wanted tattoos. A nice female greeted us and we told her what we wanted, she said someone is about to get a tattoo and after him we could. She went to get paperwork. After about 5 minutes, we walked up to her just to ask her in about how long we should come back. A male (who I later found out his name is Kevin Deuso), looked at me and said aggressively "well how long do you have, this isn't mcDonalds to be asking how long, if not go somewhere else." They lost out on two tattoos since the female stated that they had nothing booked after the guy getting his tattoo, simply by a this male being rude and unprofessional. On June 16, 2018, three of my friends went to Inked Life Miami so that we can get matching hearts tattoos. My friends and I travel to Miami every year, so this year we thought we would do something symbolic. We scouted a couple of tattoo places on Washington Avenue, and we found Inked Life to be reasonable and we also liked the fact that they had female tattoo artists. We visited on June 14th to inquire about prices. We were told to come after we did activities like get in the pool or go to the beach, because it was recommended to get it done closer to the time we were to depart back home. So fast forward to June 16th. We each paid $85 for our tattoos. I opted for a burgundy heart, no outline. My best friend opted for a purple heart with outline, while one of my good friends got a red heart and my other good friend got a blue heart. After about two days my tattoo started to scab. I had never gotten color before (all my tats are black with shade), so I wasn't sure if it was suppose to scab. Needless to say, I followed the directions of my artist (not to get the tattoo wet for 24 hours, don't use AD ointment because it clogs the pores, use a non scented lotion, keep the bandage on for 24 hours, etc). After the tattoo scabbed up so bad, I inquired with my friends about theirs. My best friend told me that hers was also starting to scab, and my other good friend's tat looked bad as well. The girl who did my tattoo went down so deep, she had to take off at least three layers of skin. Now that the scab is off, it looks like a 3rd degree pink burn. My best friend's tat looks like a nasty sore. So now, I have to wait until this injury heels (because that's what it is) and go to someone who knows how to do a simple heart tattoo. An occasion that was supposed to be special turned out to be a nightmare. Thank GOD I only got the tattoo on my hand and that it wasn't a large one. And not to mention we live in New Jersey, so it's not like I can go back to the shop and complain in their faces. I will NEVER recommend this shop to anyone. Go at your own RISK. I have pictures and if you want to see them, just ask. And Inked Life can't say we didn't come there because we had to put our information into their system. If I could write a bad review every minute of every day, I will. I guess you get what you pay for. HORRIBLE TATTOO SHOP! read more
