Bombay Mumbai Style Panini Sandwich 5/5 too good
    Chandrika B.

Great indoor and outdoor seating with a large capacity. Ample parking right outside the restaurant and a vast menu to cater to everyone's taste buds! Perfect for large groups and family get togethers. Quick and friendly person at counter and more of a self-service. I really enjoyed the chai tea hot 5/5 and bombay sandwich (its massive!!) its a full meal for 2 if u just order that so plz share it if u plan to try anything else on their menu :) The bombay sandwich 5/5 is filled with potato filling (mild to medium) and sliced beetroot - gives u a healthy feeling with the beets :p I did like the masala fries 5/5 too which is waffle cut fries sprinkled with spices to give it a kick! What i didnt enjoy - junglee chicken hoogie 2/5- description says "shredded chicken" and we asked it to be made spicy and they nodded to do it but it wasnt shredded and not spicy :( hence deducting 1 star. Skip the hoogie! I did see a display of indian pastries and they looked delicious. Will definitely try those next time. I heard from family that their mango pastry was yum!

Ambiance: fast/casual Reservations needed? Would make some just in case-- this place was packed when we came (but we did have a large group) Food: was great! Good quantity too, we ordered too much and def had food to take home

Came for a workday lunch here. Ordered Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. The place is a bit chaotic. As I reached the front counter a call came in and the lady on the counter started getting phone number and name of the caller. As soon as she hung up another call came in and so on. I was waiting for 5-10 minutes until another gentleman came in to take my order. Now I have been waiting for more than 10 minutes for my food when there wasn't anyone ahead of me in the restaurant. In a way this inefficiency is annoying for wasting time but strangely also comforting as it reminds of the slow pace of life in India. Just got my Biryani. The quantity was generous. Spice level - spicy as I had requested. Chicken pieces a bit less. The overall taste about 3.5/5. In summary, for someone trying to get a quick bite this is not the place to be and the food is average to a little above average with generous portion sizes.

A decent place. Nothing out of the ordinary. The samosa chat was ok, the tandoori was a bit salty and the chicken was tad bit bad.

Ordered several items for our Thanksgiving meal. WE had invited guests and requested sharp 12:30 PM. Arrived on time but the food wasn't ready until 15 minutes later. Good food and they did give me mango lassi while waiting but we had hungry gusts at home. Hopefully Xmas order will be on time as the food is very good.

Let me start by saying I have very little experience with Indian food. The person working was really helpful and explained they have street style Indian food. If you cannot have ANY spicy food than I am not sure if there is a lot for you to try. I got the Lamb Seekh platter. It was delicious and just barely spicy. There is a lot of flavor and just a tiny heat. For dessert I got the butterscotch cake which was so moist and tasty! Definitely worth checking out! Friendly staff and delicious food! @squishesays YUM

We were in the area and decided to try this spot out due to the rave reviews on here and in a foodies group. We looked at the menu ahead of time and decided on some items (and even researched ahead of time). Turns out this used to be Burger IM. Upon arrival, it was PACKED with people waiting for "to go" orders and bustling inside. Only a handful of tables were open and we looked at the menu again while waiting. At least the people were waiting a sizeable distance from each other. Upon ordering, the cashier said the pizza would take "AT LEAST 30 minutes. At LEAST." We agreed and ordered the dahi puri as an app. We got the chicken tikka pizza, mango lassi, and the chicken shawarma (I didn't want to get pizza too since they were on a wait). They pulled out a mango lassi already made from a fridge, which was disappointing. And it was barely cold. The total was $42, which was spendy for a "fast casual" restaurant. Fortunately, the food came as it was cooked and not all together. Unfortunately, the dahi puri was basically inedible. It was drenched in yogurt sauce to the point it wasn't crispy anymore and tasted heavily of mint. I made myself eat a second one. Upon getting our food (the pizza ended up being about 15 minutes), it was just mediocre. But it WAS piping hot. The shawarma and pizza had the same chicken included - and it was extremely dry chicken tikka and had no sauce. The roti that my shawarma was wrapped in was perfectly crispy in some spots and partially raw in others. I couldn't finish it. I tried some of my husband's pizza and the dough was as if a Belgian waffle was savory (and dry). Another alarming thing that happened is that a boy was running around with no mask on and coughing on everything. We left immediately when he started doing it. Also, another customer kept getting up to get silverware, a box, etc. with no mask on (they even talked to the employee to ask a question). Employees said nothing to either about no masks. They were getting a lot of calls about complaints of slow delivery. I think they rushed our orders because of this. Overall, I will not be returning. I don't understand the hype. Also, both of us had stomach pains after. Disappointed.

This is supposed to be chilly chicken ! It's just orange food color on broiled chicken. Absolutely inedible
    Raghav S.

Disgusting food for which I paid over 50$ .. waste of money ... this was broiled chicken with disgusting food color poured over it ! The accompanying fried rice was so disgusting that I did not have the guts to photograph it..the food quality has gone down dramatically in the last year or so ! Not worth the money .. there are many choices available so please avoid !

Not the worst but not the best Indian cuisine I've had. If you're looking for a quick bite to eat this is your place. Curry comes with either rice or naan. The portion size is perfect. The rice was very dry and did not taste fresh and the lamb was a little over cooked. I expected more potent spices and flavors in the curry. For the price of the lamb curry $20, I did not feel it was worth it. The naan was phenomenal and a very reasonable price. Overall it was worth trying but I likely wouldn't return it recommend it.

A Vada Pav without any chutney provided
    Chintan S.

DO NOT GO Here!! No doubt the food is good the service is horrible. For example - for our take out order, the vada pav had no chutney in the box or applied to the pav. It took them 40 minutes to make one pav bhaji. There is no accountability. Entire staff is running everywhere like it is a food market.

From the moment we arrived, the service was friendly and attentive, the ambiance was relaxing, and the food--absolutely outstanding. I drove 1.5 hours for my birthday lunch after a day at the spa, and it was well worth the trip. The standout dishes were the lamb chops, garlic naan, and the crispy spinach and spicy shrimp--all 10/10. I also took home the Chicken 65 and Tiger Prawn Shrimp ( a must have ) both of which were just as delicious. Be mindful that they close at 2:30 pm for preparation before dinner service, so plan accordingly. I left with enough food to last two days, and with plenty of parking in the shopping plaza, this spot is a must-try for any food lover in the area or just wanting to venture out . Highly recommend!

Love the catchy and unforgettable name Delhi 6…read more Why Unforgettable? Let me count the ways: 1) Amazing and authentic food. Old school. They do a weekend buffet and ensure that they have fresh, new, creative appetizers and dishes every time. 2) Something for everyone - northern dishes, southern dishes; a great selection for the first timers and spice or curry phobes. 3) Okra, spinach and red kidney beans ( 3 separate dishes today) prepared like I/all of us have never tasted before. 4) Amazing, pro active and very polite staff. The owner is so hands on and ensures all is well. 5) Ample room for big groups and parties. Last time I was here with a group of 10 was on Saturday 8/19/23 ( old Yelp photo) and everyone enjoyed themselves. 6) Great and relaxed atmosphere. The decor is just gorgeous with items and fixtures imported from 7700 miles east of Virginia. 7) 2 old school and just gorgeous desserts today - the rice pudding loaded with raisins and cashews plus the mini donut balls in syrup. 8) My mother came to visit me in 2022 and loved this restaurant ( old Yelp photo) and the service. In fact we were here twice during her birthday week celebrating in August wow 18 months ago. 9) Clean and spotless. The staff is on the ball. 10) A refreshing change from the 15 Indian restaurants in Herndon 10 miles away, all with food that tastes the same.

I know my opening statement may be contentious, but bear with me. We really like good Indian food. I am originally from the UK so am very well versed in Indian food. I have been in the US for 30 years and have tried Indian food all around the US. A few years ago we moved to Ashburn and was surprised by the lack of good Indian restaurants as there is a noticeable Indian area population. We tried a few and reviewed them here. So when we visited Delhi-6 for the first time in late April 2023, we were cautiously optimistic but ready for for whatever might happen. We went on a friday and we were hungry and assumed there is a buffet, mainly as they advertise it but the days are not clear. There is only a buffet on weekends, but despite what the sites say, this place is open at 11am and not 11:30am, so that is good news. I ordered Lamb Vindaloo, HOT. my wife ordered the Chicken Biryani. We got garlic Naan as well. The place was empty because of the 11/11:30 issue which hopefully they resolve. The restaurant is large with tables for large groups and the service was very attentive. After our wait, the food came out. Holy moley. My Lamb Vindaloo was probably one of the best if not THE BEST Lamb Vindaloo I have had in my entire life. The meat was flawless. No fatty pieces, or tough bits. It was soft and flavourful and so great I can't even think of anything negative to say about it. As I write this I am drooling just remembering it. The sauce was thick and spicy but also had perfect seasoning telling me the chef knows how to balance the flavours and elevate the fantastic lamb. The Naan bread was thin and crispy and held the vindaloo sauce wonderfully. The chicken Biryani was superb. I came with crunchy onions on on top, the chicken was super tender, and the rice cooked to perfection. It came with a beautiful raita. The chef is an artist for the palate. But wait, there's more! We went back in early May 2023 for the buffet. This time they had fried cauliflower which was indescribably great. They had chicken Biryani and I would say 15-20 different dishes. During our visit they also had a lamb Madras. This was another fantastic dish, with the same quality lamb meat, with no fat or tough parts, clearly cooked with love for hours. The flavours were incredible with a richness from all the herbs and spices that was very enjoyable. They also had a Butter Chicken which was texbook superb. Aloo saag was creamy to perfection just the way it should be served. Your opinion may vary, but here is me telling you, if you like Indian food, you owe it to yourself, and Delhi-6 a visit.

The mirchi bajji mixture was unique and flavorful, but the medium was just a little bit too spicy to enjoy. The veg chili momos, gobi manchurian and onion samosas were crispy and seasoned well. Also, they were a good price for the portion. The street style veg noodles were a bit salty and tasted like the burnt part of a wok. However, overall, the food was tasty. I'd recommend coming here or ordering takeout if you're looking for good south Indian appetizers and mains!

The bar area is big and spacious, and usually sitting at the bar means better, more attentive service. The place was mildly busy, so I expected things to run smoothly -- but that wasn't the case. Right from the start, the bartender wasn't very attentive. We had to ask multiple times just to place our order. For appetizers, we tried the Goat Buttan and the Wild Boar -- we wanted to explore some of the unique delicacies on the menu. Both dishes were interesting, and the Goat Buttan and Wild Boar were actually pretty solid. Unfortunately, the service continued to be an issue. We had to flag the bartender again just to order our entrées and even for simple water refills. We ordered the Mutton Taas and the Yak Chili. The Yak Chili was very good, but the Mutton Taas was extremely dry -- like eating cardboard -- and lacked flavor. Throughout the night, our bartender was constantly absent. More than once, we had to ask another bartender to get his attention so we could get basic service. After finishing our meal, we ordered a dessert, the Gulab Jamun. The presentation looked nothing like the picture -- more like a sloppy drop of pudding -- and the taste was just as disappointing. And again, we had to flag down another bartender because ours was nowhere to be found. Service overall was lackluster, and the tip options started at 20% with no 18% choice. For the level of service we received, 15% would have been more appropriate. I won't be returning anytime soon unless I'm specifically craving their unique delicacies -- which is once in a blue moon.
