This place hit the spot just rite. Clean place, friendly employees and jovial owner. But best of all finger licking good food. We entered with all employees wearing masks as well as gloves and hand sanitizer bottles all around the place. They had seating indoors as well as outdoors. We ordered fish masala and katakat with naan and romali roti. The food was just delicious. I think they say this is Mumbai inspired Street food. Since I've not been to Mumbai so I'll take them at their words. However, I can tell you that katakat and romali roti were what you would expect in karachi. Just delicious! Not worth the money! All the dishes we ordered tasted the same ( same masala in all). I couldn't get through the Kati roll, and realized the paneer Mirch masala had the exact same taste and masala. Excellent food. We were there last night with my family. I got their 'samosa chat' which was spot on. The hot crushed samosas with yogurt and a culmination of spices and drizzled with zesty pomegranate. I also sneaked in more than a few bites of my husband's bhelpuri. I was able to enjoy the multifarious blend of different ingredients in their bhel while still retaining the crunchiness. My daughter had a recommended paneer dish. Can't remember it's name. The paneer was drenched in a colorful creamy sauce that my daughter loved and wanted me to replicate at home, as soon as she had a bite. I promised to take her back again, soon. Also, I am a rice person and even their white rice ( which came a side with the paneer dish) was cooked to perfection. It had a hint of cumin and cardamom. I could be totally wrong about that it, but it tasted sooooo good. The golgappas ( panipuri) were amazing. Took me back to my days back in Calcutta. Felt like I was having Mumbai food in Calcutta! They held their shape and did not break even after being soaked in the liquid. It was a wonderful combination of tart dates and the mint coriander concoction. Wow. Just wow. This restaurant is now on our "must go back" list. I had the Samosa Chaat and he had the Mughlai Korma with lamb. The chaat was sweet and savory and full of texture. The Lamb in the korma was tender and the sauce had a perfect balance of heat and sweet. The portions were generous and very filling. When I went in to pick up our order, the staff was super friendly and my order was ready on time. As they were retrieving my food, my eyes were drawn to a cooler in the corner which contained a wide array of delicious looking cakes. I couldn't resist and bought one that was mango and another that was flavored with cardamom and sprinkled with pistachios. They were SO GOOD. Very light cake layered with mousse-type filling. The cardamom cake reminded us of shahi toast. I know that we are just average white Americans who don't really know much about food from India so we can't speak to the authenticity of the food but we know we like it and we will absolutely go back. read more

I love this place for some good Indian food. I am really happy with their service and food. Everything is high quality including the service. I love the burgers from here as well as other items on the menu. They offer delivery and pick-up. I usually call in the order and pick it up. The food stay warm in their storage containers. This place opened up in July and I'm really happy it did. I'm new to the area and was looking for good, decent halal Desi food. The interior is clean and designed well, prices are decent, and the food is actually really good. I ordered the Bhindi fry (okra), pav bhaji, channa, and a couple pizzas. Certainly coming back. Even if you don't keep halal, it's typically a higher standard of meat so all is good. read more

The chat serving was a good size , the chicken biryani was all sauce and not much rice which didn't taste good and we didn't like that at all. The naan and The shrimp fry were decent. Overall pretty mediocre food. Now for the customer service - the server/cashier was very rude and lacked basic etiquette. The guy clearly had an attitude and showed it pretty openly. Will never go back there. If you cannot treat your customers with respect then there is no reason why I should spend my money there. I ain't asking for special treatment. Just cordial and respectful. This restaurant surprised me in a good way. I went in with little expectation of having a good meal. We ordered bhel puri, samosa chat, junglee hoagie, Kati roll with chicken, bheeja masala and seekh masala. While the junglee hoagie was a disappointment (it was room temperature chicken and very little flavor), the Kati roll was delicious. Bheeja masala was one of the best I have had in DMV. The samosa chat was our favorite and seekh masala was flavorful and had the right amount of spice. We also ordered pani puri, amu cheese pizza (for the kids). The pani puri it was decent (nothing too amazing but also not a disappointment) but the cheese pizza was a hard pass for even the kids. The restaurant was clean. They have outdoor seating with heaters too. The service was quick. I would make the trip again to try more options. read more

Had ordered a pick up order. Service is good and food is alright. Too much oil/clarified butter and spice do not add up for a sumptuous meal. Pav Bhaji was the only item we liked and rest rolls and burger was just not good. Had better expectations with street food but turned out to be another Indian spin off restaurant.
