I ordered four boneless chicken biryanis for pickup on a Saturday evening. When I arrived the staff didn't know which orders were ready -- I waited seated for 10 minutes while a front‑of‑house employee repeatedly asked for my order and seemed unsure whether it was prepared. After another 20 minutes my order was finally found sitting on the counter; it had likely been sitting for a while. At home the biryani was cold and bland. Short version: long, disorganized wait; confused staff; cold, poor‑quality food. Spent over $60 and left disappointed. The restaurant needs better order tracking, clearer communication with customers, and improvements to food temperature and flavor. I won't be returning. read more

As usual, this place has good food, but bad service. The chicken lollipop was crispy and the bang bang chicken was seasoned well. The butter chicken was creamy and paired nicely with the garlic naan. The chicken biryani was the perfect amount of spicy, but, just like last time, took forever to come out. Also, the waiters took a while to take our orders and didn't bring out the food in a logical order. Additionally, the mango lassi didn't have that great of a mango flavor and had too much yogurt compared to milk ratio. However, the food here generally is authentic and seasoned nicely. read more

I am solely rating this on our takeout experience, we did not eat inside! In all fairness to the staff as well, it was a busy Saturday night. A sit down experience may be better. We placed our order at 7:30 pm for a pick up time of 8:15pm, which was the earliest we could. We arrived there around 8:15pm to pick up our order and did not recieve it until 9:02pm. We waited nearly an entire hour for a takeout order, in all fairness the waiting area seemed clean and had seats. The staff continually told us the entire time we waited that it would only be a few more minutes. They did apologize at the end and said that people had been taking the wrong orders. For the food, we ordered two butter chickens, one chicken saag, a garlic Naan and a mango lassi. They were fine, the chicken saag was the best of the dishes and the Naan was cold. We definitely wouldn't order takeout from here again. read more

This is located in Ashburn, where the old Red Robin used to be. They used the same Signature handles on the front doors as Red Robin. Their menu consists of South Indian specialties, rice/noodle dishes, veg/non-veg entrees, desserts, etc. We ordered the following: Lemon chicken tikka - this was hot, mildly spicy, delicious, but on the salty side. Spicy chicken vindaloo - asked for spicy, but wasn't terribly spicy but it was tasty and this came with rice. Butter bourbon cake - very moist, melt in your mouth, the ice cream wasn't necessary as it was good on its own. Molten lava chocolate cake - devoured by kids within minutes. The restaurant is very large with plenty of seating and elegantly decorated. The chairs are similar to those used at the Aldie location. The service was interesting. They were eager to take the order and were standing there while we were browsing the menu. Once the food came, they were still lined up against the wall, but not clearing the table as dishes were finished. We ordered dessert with extra spoons and we had to ask for additional plates. Visited Ashburn Biryani Grill on the evening of May 28th around 7 PM. Ordered paneer curry and garlic naan. The garlic naan was stale and clearly not fresh. The paneer curry had a strong, off smell from the vegetables. The smell was bad enough that I could not eat the food. When I raised the concern, the server was polite and brought the manager over. The manager insisted everything was fresh and dismissed the complaint entirely. Stale bread and vegetables with a spoilage smell should never have left that kitchen. No customer should have to argue with a manager about whether the food in front of them smells bad. I left without eating. If you dine here, pay attention to what arrives at your table. RACISTS!!! We got here on their 1-year anniversary on 3/13/26 and was told there was a wait for a table. We patiently waiting for over 30 minutes, and watched as the hostess and the manager sat several families who came after us who were Indian! I thought those people all had reservations until I asked the hostess and she said NO! I then asked why she sat them before us and she had no reply! DISGUSTING behavior. Holy cow (no pun intended) but i will never forget this meal. Goat biryani, garlic naan, karampodi chicken. If you like flavorful and spicy food this will be your goto. I did get medium spicy but I'm almost 1000% sure it's hotter than you think so just get mild. I'm literally still sweating. But either way, I must have eaten nothing but northern cuisine all my days bc this was totally different and they don't dumb it down for American tastebuds which i can appreciate. 10/10 highly recommended. Came by for a quick lunch by myself. The ambience is 10/10. This used to be Red Robin, and they really did an impressive job with the decor! I love this place. The food is pretty good, though one time I made mistake and ordered medium instead of mild! Ouch lol. I love the paneer butter masala. Yum! In general, you can't beat the price for the serving size! I've done take out and dine in, and the ambiance really is great. It feels very elegant, nice design. And I personally really appreciate that there are not Hindu idols anywhere in sight. I always have a struggle in my conscience because of my own beliefs to eat food from a restaurant with those kind of statues and figurines around so I do deeply appreciate getting to enjoy Indian food without having to worry about that! read more

Food was great! Interior is nice and comfortable. I'm sure service will improve as the restaurant gets more experience (brand new restaurant). Our food was brought out in pieces rather than together which was strange. Butter chicken curry was served but rice was 5 min after. Soda is brought out in a can. It's also hard to determine if the servers are working as a team or individually. One person brought water and silverware and says our order will be taken shortly but then another person actually comes and takes the order, someone else delivers the food. Not saying there's a right way, great American restaurants have a similar model, but explaining for a first timer would help. read more

Never had this horrible food. Ordered bhendi masala. One would have surely known if he they cut bhendi that it is beyond bad. Probably vegetable was a month or two old. They were not even chewable. I thought maybe some might be like that and tried more and all of them were bad. Will never go to this restaurant again. I am already having stomach ache as soon as I had dinner. I ate dal makhani. That was made with malai kofta curry i think. Both the curries turned out miserable. Roti is not digestible. It was not mafe out of wheat flour. Wasted 50$ and got stomach ache as well. read more

I ordered delivery service on July fourth when some friends decided to drop by and my fridge was empty! It was a bit of a risk, as I had never eaten there or even heard of this place before, but the risk paid off. We were able to schedule delivery time in advance and the food arrive on time and hot! Everyone enjoyed the varieties of dishes we ordered (with varying levels of heat) with some fantastic naan. I don't know enough about south Asian cuisine to parse through the flavor profiles of each dish but I know enough to know that it was delicious. Looking forward to ordering again soon. read more

I ordered food for pickup. The first issue was that they gave me the wrong food item. When I called them, they didn't even acknowledge their mistake and simply ended the call. Second, regarding the food, it was not hot at all. I ordered at 5:30 PM and picked my order up at 6:00 PM. I started eating at 6:30 PM, so there is no way the food would have become cold in 30 minutes. They clearly gave me old food that was prepared earlier, possibly during lunch. read more

On a Friday evening, we ordered pepper chicken as appetizer and gongura chicken biryani. We received some chicken curry instead of pepper chicken and gongura chicken is all curry with no chicken and few spoons of rice. When we called about the appetizer, the girl tells they will refund the money but how she didn't mentioned and hung up the phone. We thought this restaurant is different but I think it's the same as any Indian restaurant.
