This is a unique little place... We got a coupon and said why not try this place out - the seating is very limited so we had to wait about half an hour (which on Friday night at 6:30 seemed reasonable). The staff was friendly and helpful but they only had 5 tables so I don't know what it would be like if they were operating at full capacity. Wife's wanted a bud light ( they have a boat load of different craft beers) and I had a diet coke. We had to do the wings 5 medium and 5 honey BBQ which were awesome - they have so smoking process that is unique - I just know the wings were awesome. We had a tough time picking between the pizza and the subs whichnoyh had good reviews so we went with the pizza. It was really good.all in all it was a great experience. The only down side is that they are a tad on the pricey side. We are c going back to try the subs... We will keep you posted

Visited here with my spouse for a quick happy hour drink. We actually came here by accident because the place down the road was closed. Cute location. Drinks were good! It was kind of a bummer that the inside was closed and we had to sit outside because it was a pretty hot day out. I would have chosen to at least have the option to sit inside if we could. We didn't get any food so I can't speak to that, but it sounds like all the other reviews glow about the food, so we'll have to come back to try the food some time. The prices for the drinks were decent, not great but not bad! Was kind of a bummer that there wasn't better happy hours because I'm pretty sure we stopped in on a Friday, so I always hope for some really good happy hour finds during the weekday watering hole trips. I think that's the only thing that could have made it better would be a better happy hour menu.

    Wings and Italian Sub

Excellent wings brine all day, best we've had. You can order sauce on them or on the side. The Italian sub was delicious. The sun bread is homemade and tasty. Staff is great. They have a patio for outside dining. Lisa the bartender/server was excellent.

We found this little gem on Yelp and was skeptical because of the low number of reviews but decided to try anyways. We were not disappointed. We rate it the best pizza we've tried so far and we've tried pizza in most of the lower 48. We had sausage and pepperoni and found that only the best, freshest ingredients are used. No fake mozzarella here! Plenty of great beer on tap and bottled. Emma, our waitress, was very attentive. We will definitely be back here when in this area again!

I moved to Sunbury 2.5 years ago and driving a few miles to Tavern is like a Christmas treat for their wings, which are the best anywhere.

They came out looking like plain, boiled wings and very unappealing. Also ordered a side, also unappetizing. Sent both back and ordered chili. There was a five dollar difference between my first order and the chili. The server gave me a bill for the meal I sent back and got mad when I pointed it out and politely asked for the correct one. She argued that they were the same. When she returned with the right one, she slapped it down on the table and was very rude. Why would I ever return?

Where Breakfast Pizza Rules and the Morning Rush Tests Your Patience Skills…read more I swung into PJ's Family Restaurant because someone whispered the words breakfast pizza, and honestly, that's all the marketing I need. I ordered it -- and wow. Very good. So good, in fact, that I'm now convinced their regular pizza is probably amazing too. I must return for scientific research. This place was super crowded at 9:00 AM. I'm talking "half the county wanted eggs at the same time" crowded. I grabbed a seat at the bar, which at least gave me front-row seating for the Breakfast Olympics happening. The servers? Absolutely slammed. They were doing laps around the restaurant like they were training for a marathon. Zero blame -- just respect. If you come here during peak hours, bring patience. And maybe a snack. I also grabbed to-go fuel for the tribe: biscuits and gravy, French toast, and bacon -- classic hits across the board. They inhaled everything with the enthusiasm of people who hadn't eaten in 3 days. I'll definitely be back -- but next time I'll arrive earlier, like the seasoned diner ninja I aspire to be. Final Verdict: PJ's serves comfort food worth the wait, breakfast pizza worth a pilgrimage, and morning chaos with a smile.
