They came out looking like plain, boiled wings and very unappealing. Also ordered a side, also unappetizing. Sent both back and ordered chili. There was a five dollar difference between my first order and the chili. The server gave me a bill for the meal I sent back and got mad when I pointed it out and politely asked for the correct one. They were doing laps around the restaurant like they were training for a marathon. Zero blame -- just respect. If you come here during peak hours, bring patience. And maybe a snack. Small town family restaurant vibes! We came shortly after opening and were one of the first people there. My friend and I got the pretzel bites with beer cheese as an appetizer. It was definitely enough for 2 people and a baby and was delicious! We both got a Greek burger and my daughter got a kids tender meal. Although the burger didn't look very good presentation wise it was definitely delicious! I also tried my daughter's chicken tenders and they were really good! Way better than most places chicken tenders. Perfectly cooked, flakey and crunchy! Same with the fries the only thing the tenders and fries were missing was some seasoning. Was told to sit where ever when we walked and I ended up grabbed the high chair from the corner on my own since they didn't seem too pleased we were there. They were a little more friendly when they came to take our order. They definitely were a lot more friendly to people who were regulars. But overall would go back! Very expensive pancakes. Waitress acted bothered and black crap floating in my water. I let her know and she said "you'll be fine". Loud music at 10:45am! Edit: less than five minutes after this review my friend and I left and had decided to sit on the bench outside. Now keep in mind I have never been to this place before. My friend, that I was with had been there and knew this waitress. We had just sat down on the bench and she came out and had seen the review. She cussed me out F bomb me several times and told me I couldn't come back due to the few sentences above. I was completely in shock and she made my friend completely uncomfortable. I didn't put a lot more in the review as I could have. This waitress was completely off the hook. She had another lady that was talking to her at the counter come outside and threw my tip in my lap outside. I would definitely like to talk to the owner of this establishment. Yes the music was loud for 10:45 in the morning. I don't know who is responsible for that and that was not directed at her at all. The prices on the menu I'm sure she did not have anything to do with. That was my personal opinion. The only thing this woman had to do with was her horrible nasty attitude. We've been loyal customers of PJ's for years, regularly ordering wings for family dinners, parties, and events. We recently decided to order wings, an appetizer, and a salad for a family gathering. After placing the order through their website for a scheduled delivery time an hour and a half later, we were informed that PJ's uses DoorDash for delivery, which we were perfectly fine with. When the DoorDash driver arrived at the scheduled time, we noticed that the wings were missing. The driver explained that the issue was on PJ's end, not DoorDash. We called PJ's to follow up, and they told us they had run out of wings but insisted that it was a DoorDash issue, not theirs. Given that we placed the order well in advance, we were surprised there was no notification about the shortage. We requested a full refund but were told once again that it was a DoorDash issue, and then they abruptly hung up on us. This was a disappointing experience, especially after years of positive orders. read more

I've passed this place many times over the years and just never stopped in until today. The place is decorated much nicer inside than I thought it would be. It looks like a nice place to come hang out with friends or watch a game on the TVs they have. I only had an appetizer (potato skins), which was only "OK". The service was quick and friendly. I was trying to decide whether to give one or two stars, so two stars we go because I am in a generous mood. I did a check-in and it said we would get 20% off our bill. Not true. The server didn't know anything about it. My husband had the chicken fried steak. This comes with two sides so he had a side salad and mashed potatoes. He asked if it would come with white sauce, the server said yes, but it came with something you would expect as gravy over biscuits. The salad had some "off" pieces of lettuce and the mashed potatoes consistency was like a baked potato that was mashed. My son had the Mac and cheese burger. Evidently they weren't serving fries so he was served Lay's potato chips. He said his burger was tasteless and the Mac and cheese was more Mac and hardly any cheese. The burger was also pink, not well cooked. I had the chicken wrap, choosing fried chicken over grilled. This came with tortilla chips and salsa. Some pieces of lettuce were also "off" and overall the meal was just bleech. The salsa tasted like it came from a jar. This restaurant says they make to order, which I guess is different from scratch, but it doesn't give it much value. I don't recommend this place. Unfortunately the owner wasn't willing to compensate for not honoring the Yelp check-in, so this will be my first and last time eating here read more

Wanted to try this for a while. When I walk in I had noticed they had a patio. They have a full Bae. It was about 11:30 am. Walk in and no seats. They offer me to sit at the bar. When I said no I would think they'd offer me to sit on patio but they didn't even suggest it. Waitress trying to get me to rush my order and continues to say they stop serving breakfast at noon. She offers no assistance with menu. I ordered mozzarella sticks for appetizer. That was the only good part of the meal. I was able to get my breakfast order in. Wish I ordered something different....bacon tasted like the smell of someone's unshowered grandma. The hash was horrible. Took one bite and didn't eat any more. The eggs had Shredded cheese which made them taste horrible. Didn't finish those. I asked them to make the hashbrowns crispy..that was a fail. They still tasted frozen. I ate all the toast but half of it was burned and I had to ask twice for jelly. Went in myself and got it. Then the waitress tries to tell me when i check out to say how amazing the service was- they were having a competition. First off girl- the food tasted like it was picked out from the trash and no one tells me what to say . Your service inhaled profusely (sucked). It was my birthday too. Not sure if I'd trust anything else on their menu but I'm definitely one for second chances..if I ever do go back it would not be for breakfast. Stopped here on a wintry day in January for a late lunch before I finished some errands. First time I've ever been there. I had studied the menu online before I went there so I knew what I wanted. It was around 2pm on a Friday and they had some folks at the bar and two other diners in the dining area. I liked the look of the place. It was small but cozy. I sat at a table in the center of the restaurant facing a television. Perfect because I was alone. I ordered a 12" pepperoni pizza and a Diet soda. The pizza came out to me in about 10 minutes or so and it was piping hot. Smelled and looked terrific. Thinnish crust, perfect amount of sauce, lie flat pepperoni and plenty of cheese. The crust had a nice snap to it. It was delicious. I ate a goodly portion and took some home. The waitress checked in on me periodically and got me a refill on my drink before I had to ask. Excellent service. I was very impressed. Quite comfortable and homey and solid pizza. I now live nowhere near Sunbury which is a shame but if I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop in for more pizza. read more

I ordered a margarita pizza which was very bland, on thick crust with no basil and very mushy, tasteless tomatoes. There were no spices on the pizza. I asked if there was any basil or Italian seasoning I could have to give it some flavor. The waitress said there was none in the kitchen. The kitchen was also out of shrimp so my husband could not order what he wanted. We have eaten there many times but this experience at over a $60 cost has been a huge disappointment. We did not understand how at 5pm on a Saturday the kitchen could be out of supplies that are available at Kroger less than 1/4 mile away. Been coming to PJ's for a few months. Some very expensive items. Food is decent, service is good. Asked for a BLT today and was told it would be $15.00 because after all they need to put toast and bacon and lettuce and tomato together to make the sandwich. It was breakfast time but eggs are not my fondest food so I thought a BLT would be nice. I had eaten them at breakfast here before without a problem but apparently putting 4 items together makes for a very expensive experience. Today was the third time we have been here and 1st with our kids. We always enjoy the food and place. It's a small town place. Well today really set the bar. They have games as you walk in. So after we ordered we let our kids play at the games. The manager even helped our kids and made sure they were having fun. And the waitresses stopped to make sure the kids were fine even though we could see the kids and knew what was going on. It was nice to see people caring for others and really enjoy where they work. Small-town, rode-hard-put-away-wet, diner. If you can get past the dirty entryway, and beat up interior, their service and pizza is out-stand-ing. I had the Colby's White pizza. It's the ranch-sauce pizza I've had to make myself since moving away from the only other town and pizza vendor that sold it -- Speedy Tomato in Cincinnati. Their version on the menu wasn't quite right, but they were happy to make it the way I wanted it (ranch dressing, chicken, sliced tomatoes, bacon crumbs, and cheese). Next time, we'll go for a more traditional red-sauce and see out it stacks up, but I was sold on the first bite. And...they're in the middle of remodeling, so good for them! What a horrible experience.The restaurant is less than 50% full and we had to wait over an hour to get our food. After 45 minutes, we can hear our waitress telling other tables that it's going to be another 45 minutes but nothing has been said to us. No apology was given to us for the wait. Food was average at best but sure as hell not worth the wait. The waitress knew the situation was upsetting our family and rather than acknowdging the issue, she stood st the counter with a tray over her mouth whispering to another server. She clearly was talking about our table as a gentleman who knew the waitress sitting at the bar turned around and looked at us while the whispering was going on. Just had breakfast at PJ. I had 2+2+2, one of my favorite meals. The pancakes were terrible. I only took two bites and left the rest. When they were delivered, the top was hard, they had no flavor, and they were dry. I felt my server didn't even care. I like to see local places survive, so I try to make sure they know the good the bad and the ugly. This restaurant has made some recent positive changes, but my breakfast was not one of them. I have been going to PJ's for years. Since Tony took over, it seems to be our new hangout. I scheduled my moms retirement party (open house) in their party room the first of December. We had close to 75 people that attended. I also had PJ's cater the event. The beautiful newly remodeled party room was a perfect venue for the event. The food was fantastic. The service was excellent, thanks to Ashley. We had so many compliments from everyone who attended. Many people hadn't been there in years and was impressed. Went here for the first time in quite awhile. Pulling into the parking lot, you already notice the big difference since the new management has taken over. The parking lot is now paved and no holes. The building has a what appears to be a fresh coat of paint and the inside felt clean and simple. Our service was good and friendly. We ordered a couple of pizzas, and potato skins. We had lunch here once two years ago and decided to stop again today. They close at 3pm on Sunday and it was 2:15. We went inside and our server took our order. Another server walked by our table and loudly announced that she was going to turn off the "open" sign. While waiting on our food, everyone that was working only talked loudly about closing (apparently they all wanted to go home). Someone walked in at 2:30 and they were told that they were closed! Stopped in on a Sunday morning for some breakfast and I was glad I did. I ordered a basic breakfast (bacon, eggs, hash browns) with a couple of the French Toast and the bisquits/gravy. However, since the new ownership took over a few months or so ago, it has been great! They have cleaned up the place, revamped some of the food and seems to have gotten the service under control.
