The install went fine & the unit is working well. HOWEVER, I tried numerous times to contact this company by phone & email. & got no response back. (It's like they fell off the face of the earth)!! So I called Soundview & requested that a tech come down to look at a new thermostat I was looking to install. They sent Justin. He could not have been nicer, helpful & informative. He told me that the A/C unit I have does not require a multi stage thermostat & as such, I can return it to Walmart saving me $270. He also explained that the unit though not top of the line, was a good reliable unit that only requires the thermostat I already have. Lastly, Soundview was a pleasure to work with, Justin showed up on time & as a result, they will be my "go to" company for all ongoing A/C requirements. I highly recommend them!! J.F Smithtown

And when you subtract out the unlicensed, uninsured people from your list your choices are minimal. I wanted to replace our thermostat after a slight remodel. The old one was dingy and couldn't be salvaged. While we were at it we decided to add WiFi connectivity beacuse, well we don't really have a true need for that but since a thermostat was only a few dollars more i figured, why not. After examining the current thermostat and the wiring at the HVAC unit i was convinced the the job was beyond my skill level. Having seen Soundview shop every day on the way to the gym an knowing a couple of them work out in the same gym, I thought I'd give the local team a shot. They said they would send someone by to look at the job to give an estimate. The estimator cam by and looked and tinkered with the system for about 45 minutes. in the end he said my control panel wasn't compatible with new generation thermostats. This wasn't hard to believe, we know that the builder relied on a lot of "closeout specials" when building the house 20 years ago. He also mentioned that we may need a new damper. He stated he didn't have the control panel on the truck but he would go back to the office and have them contact me with a quote for the work. He gave me a ballpark but said they office would need to validate once the sourced the exact parts. I agreed and indicated I would wat for the quote even asking how long the job would take. I paid the service call fee on the spot and thanked the technician. Well it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for a callback with a quote (not really anymore). maybe I have a unique facial tick that coincidently tells people to "ignore this man. In the interceding time I've been able to call someone ese have the work done and get on with my life. So much for the local team...

He was so friendly, so informative, just a really nice guy, found the problem right away and fixed it right away, and he gave my all sorts of tips on what to do about other problems I have been having with my old Patchogue house. They charged me for two days work over $1100 and the guy did nothing nothing at all except to tell me that I needed a different part for another $400. He came back the next day and did absolutely nothing and stood around. I had a friend here was watching everything. I wouldn't hire a new company the next day and they came and fixed the issue within a half an hour to 45 minutes and charged me a reasonable amount. I will never ever contact Jen again. I will never recommend this business. It is horrible. They rip you off.

Being new home owners we tried everything to get our heat to kick in. We even had another company come prior to Jen Air and they only resolved one issue. We continued to have issues with no heat. We contacted Jen air and Josh was sent over to assist. Not only did he walk us through what we needed to do for maintenance but he doubled check everything before he left. Fast forward a few months in, I noticed a leak coming from my office ceiling fan. We reached out to Jen Air again and requested Josh. He showed up, on time and resolved the issues. No more leaks, pipes were sealed and I can run my air conditioning without being nervous that I'd damage my ceiling. Thank you again to Josh for being knowledgeable and professional. If we have any issues moving forward you guys are going to be our go to.

My upstairs zone AC air handler stopped working during this crazy September heat wave with temps consistently in the 90s all week. Called for an emergency service repair to try to get me up and running. They were able to squeeze me in only 2 hours after calling. Service call rate was extremely reasonable (half the price of others I called that weren't able to get to me for at least a day - even as an "emergency"). Inspected my condenser coil and pressure, air handler coil, and blower motor. Diagnosed blower motor control unit on the fritz / starting to fail, combined with super high head pressure due to clogged condenser unit coil. Was able to get me back up and running cleaning coil and jump starting blower motor within 30 minutes and unit cooling much better than it was before to hopefully get me through this heat wave before cooler fall temps come back. While they were here they were able to measure and run some calculations to put together an estimate for me to convert my upstairs zone over to a ducted heat pump setup, relocating my air handler for my second story upstairs zone to my attic from my basement and better plenum / air box design to help resolve lack of airflow issues also contributing to inefficient cooling upstairs vs replacing the blower motor in a 12 year old unit as a cheaper option. With that said service rep was very knowledgeable and transparent regarding the different options and cost effectiveness. Never felt like I was being pressured or sold in any direction, only given details to make an informed decision. Hoping when I get the estimate back to convert this zone to heat pump, taking advantage of various rebates (federal and state / PSEGLI as they are an approved contractor for utility rebates to stack), alongside attractive financing options to help with monthly budget crunch due to overall inflation from pandemic, that will be able to upgrade and save money in the long term vs trying to keep my 12 year old less efficient Rheem system running. Definitely going to continue to use Central air systems for service and preventative maintenance going forward! I will provide an update once I have the heat pump installed, but given my extremely positive service experience, hopeful that value on install and overall performance is also a 5 star experience. After agreeing to a price for the installation of two mini splits and the outdoor condenser, Kyle scheduled the work promptly. Trouble with the installation of the electrical hook-up made us postpone the installation of the equipment. Kyle was flexible and arranged to come the day after the electrical work, and was cheerful in rescheduling. He came with two helpers (and another joined later in the afternoon) and the entire job was finished in one day. He explained how to take care of our new units and how to operate the system. Throughout the process, Kyle was communicative, friendly, and helpful. The equipment works great, and we have a good feeling about his honoring the warranty should anything go wrong in the next year. He also respected what we wanted--we got Fujitsu equipment--and arranged to have it almost immediately. We thought his advice throughout the process was good. We were pleasantly surprised at how quickly the work was scheduled and finished. All-in-all, we were very pleased with the quality of the work and with our experience with Kyle and Absolute Zero.
