I must be doing something wrong. I know on ur little island the demand for skilled trades outstrips the number of service providers there are. And when you subtract out the unlicensed, uninsured people from your list your choices are minimal. I wanted to replace our thermostat after a slight remodel. The old one was dingy and couldn't be salvaged. While we were at it we decided to add WiFi connectivity beacuse, well we don't really have a true need for that but since a thermostat was only a few dollars more i figured, why not. After examining the current thermostat and the wiring at the HVAC unit i was convinced the the job was beyond my skill level. Having seen Soundview shop every day on the way to the gym an knowing a couple of them work out in the same gym, I thought I'd give the local team a shot. They said they would send someone by to look at the job to give an estimate. The estimator cam by and looked and tinkered with the system for about 45 minutes. in the end he said my control panel wasn't compatible with new generation thermostats. This wasn't hard to believe, we know that the builder relied on a lot of "closeout specials" when building the house 20 years ago. He also mentioned that we may need a new damper. He stated he didn't have the control panel on the truck but he would go back to the office and have them contact me with a quote for the work. He gave me a ballpark but said they office would need to validate once the sourced the exact parts. I agreed and indicated I would wat for the quote even asking how long the job would take. I paid the service call fee on the spot and thanked the technician. Well it's been over a month and I'm still waiting for a callback with a quote (not really anymore). maybe I have a unique facial tick that coincidently tells people to "ignore this man. My gas furnace draft inducer motor was failing due to bearings. I called Soundview for a service call. Brian showed up and confirmed my suspicion. $100 service fee and he said he would go back to the office and have one of his girls give me a quote. Sherri contacted me through an email and quoted me $680. + tax For a $148. Wholesale inducer motor ?? Now , i work in retail and i fully understand between wholesale and retail , but to gouge 450% is disgusting! I won't be using Soundview any time soon as they showed their true colors right away on a new customer. I had the work done locally for 1/2 the cost. read more

The guys that came, Ryan, Jaymes & Vinny were very professional, timely, neat, courteous and accommodated me on the placement of the unit (how high off ground I wanted it)and explained all to me. Price was good, which is always a good thing. The office staff is also very pleasant to deal with, great job ladies!!!!! We had an HVAC system installed 5 years ago, and this year it failed. Soundview responded quickly by sending someone to diagnose the problem. It turns out that the coil leaked coolant. They ordered the coil and they installed it the next day. The two young gentlemen were polite and they obviously knew their job. And they cleaned the attic hatch door after they were done. Never happened before. We were very impressed. The coil was under Lennox warranty, and Soundview charged the labor costs to Lennox as well. So, we paid exactly $0. read more

Had no heat or cooling Guy came said look at the leak need a through leak search another day. As I wondered where he went, I found him pumping coolant into my leaking system. Called Mgr he said cost of coolant would be deducted from final repair bill. Who woul try to add coolant to a leaking system. Good BYE, good luck you won't see me again. read more

We had our Central Air Conditioning replaced by soundview after it died. The price was fair and in the middle of the road, not the lowest and not the highest. They were professional throughout the entire process; from Phil coming to give us the estimate to Lenore who was always polite and professional on the phone. What really blew us away was the professionalism, courteousness and cleanliness of the crew. Ryan the foreman and his crew of James, Vinny and Jonathan were incredible. They explained everything to us, and they were courteous of each other and our home. They were really careful when they were inside our home and made sure they didn't damage anything or make a mess. The second floor of my home had not heat during an extremely cold week and I called Soundview. They arrived quickly, on a Saturday, and the technician spent the time to troubleshoot what was wrong with my upstairs heat. The tech figured it out, and it wasn't easy because of the way my thermostat was wired wrong, which he fixed, and also found the problem in my attic with an Aquastat that wasn't fastened to the pipe properly. My tech figured it out, rewired the thermostat and attached the aquastat properly. My heat has never worked better upstairs and I've been in this house for 15 years. It was probably loose the whole time. The service call and fee for fixing this was also much less than all other Long Island HVAC companies. Thank you Soundview. read more

Consistently happy with their service. Tonight, Danny from Soundview responded to my home, after normal business hours, while I was out of town on military orders and learned my furnace broke and flooded my basement. He was courteous, professional and honest- he told my mother (who met him there) that the part was under warranty, and would be replaced at no cost. Having a service that you can trust to respond quickly and only repair what is needed, even in your absence, is such great piece of mind. Soundview replaced our old A/C system and installed a second zone in an area of the house that never had A/C. With the current 90+ heatwave it's nice and cool inside the house. I'm not one to leave reviews, but my experience with Soundview was something I wish no one has to ever experience themselves! They are corrupt, disrespectful, and extremely selfish for profits. I paid $105 for a diagnosis, then the contractor went back to the office for me to receive an email back from Brianna Tortorella for a quote of $1,600 for three parts required to fix my Fujitsu condenser unit. Due to the pyramid scheme of HVAC parts being sold to only HVAC contractors, I had to spend significant time towards extensive research on purchasing the three parts for a much cheaper price. The parts were purchased from Ferguson, which is an industry leader of selling premium HVAC parts and tools, but after a phone call with Soundview the owners were aggravated their window for profits was diminished and said "warranties" to be the reason for not being able to install the parts. Sure, we live in a capitalist market, it's sad to see a business so self-indulged in their own profits and lose the keen sense of providing quality service. Do not waste your time or money with this company, terrible business methods!! read more

My entire experience with Soundview was excellent, from the initial bid through installation. They provided technicians who knew what they were doing, worked through some minor issues easily and completed the installation ending with testing all functions to be sure it was fully operational. The office staff was a pleasure to work with and provided excellent customer service. I was a bit hesitant to go with them initially because I didn't know anyone else that had used them, but I gladly give them 5 stars and will be recommending them to anyone in the market for HVAC services. We recently switched to Soundview Heatng & Air Conditioning to service our oil burner and A/C. On the first service call we received outstanding service. For a long period we have had an issue with not being able to use all the fuel in the tank. After a exhaustive investigation by Danny the service man, he found that the fuel pump which appeared to be working properly was actually failing. He replaced the pump and the burner is working like a charm. Well done! read more
