I placed a call to Absolute Zero HVAC on a Sunday morning not expecting a return call until the following week. Kyle called me within an hour and asked if he could stop by later that same day. He came into my home dressed to visit his family but changed into a tee shirt and climbed into my attic to get a look at my system. He then looked at my outdoor condensing units and said what I already knew. All needed to be replaced. He sent over his quote that same night and after agreeing on a price which was extremely competitive put me on schedule for install Thursday- four days after we first met. A TRUE professional (along with his colleague Peter) they worked tirelessly all day Thursday and Friday and treated my home like it was their home. Kyle went above and beyond what I ever could've expected. From new drop cloths to protect my stairs to repairing additional things he uncovered (because he wanted to) to running a new flex run to my sons room (because he felt it was the right thing to do) to a spotless clean-up after each day even though he was coming back the next morning he cared about his work and the image he presented. I found Absolute Zero by accident. I was scrambling to find an honest air conditioning company, and boy did I luck out! In over forty years of home ownership, it still never ceases to amaze me when I find someone like Kyle. He is to say the least, a decent, honest, and hard working professional. There are not enough kind words to describe him and his company. He came to my home after learning about the terrible experience I had with the A/C company that installed my unit only two years before. He could have charged me a fortune since it was terribly hot, and I had water running down the wall of my bedroom closet. However, he didn't charge me a cent for the first call. He knew I had just paid $158.00 to have another company look at the unit, but it would have taken them a while to get an estimate and do the work. When Kyle heard this he asked could he come over and just look at the air conditioner - FREE OF CHARGE! (WHO DOES THAT?!) We wanted to have Central AC installed in our home, so we did our due diligence and got several estimates. I had mentioned this to a friend of mine, who had previously installed central AC in his home; he recommended Absolute Zero because he was extremely satisfied with the installation /service. Since we hadn't made our decision yet, we decided to get an estimate from them as well. We were very impressed by his knowledge, experience, and passion for doing this type of work. Absolute Zero came in with the best price, and the owner Kyle stated, "I REALLY want to do your project!" Right then and there, I knew he was the right person for the project. He and his helper exemplified professionalism and a true work ethic that is hard to find these days. They did meticulous and quality work in an extremely hot attic with several obstacles (bins and boxes) to negotiate. They put down drop clothes, vacuumed, and kept the house as clean as it was before they started. After spending 4 full days on our project......right at the start of his busy season, I know his day didn't end at 5p when he left us, I know he tried to get too as many customers as possible to resolve their needs. Two weeks back my furnace stopped working. As a novice who didn't feel comfortable safely fiddling around with mechanics and electronics I started to look through service providers in the area who could come on short notice to troubleshoot the issue; The business I had used previously for annual tuneups was out of town and so I did some shopping comparison and came cross reviews for Absolute zero hvac and decided it was a good idea to give Kyle (the business owner) a call. What makes Kyle such a great HVAC business owner above and beyond his availability and kind demeanor is his willingness to educate on what he is troubleshooting as well as being very transparent on costs while trying very conscientiously to *not* sell you on a bill of goods that you never needed in the first place. Through explanation he was able to educate me enough about this unit such that I could feel confident performing basic troubleshooting in the future *while* figuring out the root cause of the issue. Kyle is tremendous. Great AC, Great person, Great knowledge. We took 3 bids on a 25yr old Rheem machine. Two offered replacement. Kyle also offered a replacement but upon closer inspection said he could fix it. For an economical price. He had a new engine in his truck! First, he discovered the AC fuse had burned out in our box. He fixed that and then the AC unit. We were also building a new retaining wall the unit sat on. Two weeks later on 24 notice he came late Friday and moved the unit so the wall could be done in that corner. A week later, wall done, he came on Saturday morning and moved the unit back in place on the new wall. Bravo, Kyle! on 4th of July the old unit had a kink and needed some new wires to adjust the pressure. He put in new wires in Sunday morning 4th of July! This is caring service. This is a professional. He has EXTENSIVE AC knowledge. Kyle is also a personable trustworthy man. He tells good stories too. I highly recommend his services. I could not be happier with the service I received from Kyle and have already hired him for another project! After having my oil company tell me they could not fix my compressor and it would cost $12K to replace it, I went a year without AC in the main section of my house. Out of desperation because my mother was visiting, I reached out for a few more quotes. Kyle was able to fix the problem without having to replace the entire compressor for a fraction of the cost. In addition to that, I asked him to check the Freon levels on the other compressors, which he did and refilled. He was honest with me and did not need to fill one of them, which was great because it required a more expensive Freon. He could have taken advantage of me as a new homeowner like others companies have done, but he didn't and gained a lifelong client in the process. I have used Kyle exclusively for my HVAC system over the last 12 years, and he has always been prompt, professional, and just down right awesome! My system was improperly vented (to low to the ground and became blocked by snow drifts) and numerous contractors balked at the problem. Kyle reconfigured the system quickly and correctly and its been running great fr years no matter the weather. Other service calls for other issues have always been great and quickly fixed. I highly recommend Absolute Zero. Kyle didn't try to sell me upgraded equipment, he sold me what works sufficiently and what he would install in his house. I got a few quotes for the central AC and his price was the lowest. Installed in the attic that will be renovated into a room, he worked with me and planned and installed the air handler unit and all the ductwork where he'd leave the center of the room open and did a great, clean job. He said the AHU upstairs and condenser unit outside would be quiet, I was shocked at how quiet everything was. We hired Kyle to rearrange the ducts in our attic, as whoever installed them originally had them all tangled like spaghetti and we had no room to use our attic space. Given the huge job, Kyle and his team got it done within two weeks. We now have room for our belongings in the attic and a nicer set up of all the ducts. He even installed a return in the ceiling. After a few months I needed help installing the new filter, after I called, the very next day, Kyle showed up to help me and show me exactly what to do. After an awesome experience with Kyle last year, I didn't hesitate to call again when not one, but both of my AC units weren't working on a super hot day after a week of having the windows open. Once again he picked up right away and was at the house in an hour, exactly when he said he'd be. A variety of small problems (melted wiring, clogged condensation drain, etc.) were the culprits...things for which some less honest places may have replaced motors, condensers, etc. for a lot more money. He was in and out in about an hour (again, 2 AC units). Definitely will call Kyle to start replacing these old units within the next year. He does great, quality, honest work. read more

AC stopped blowing cool air so we called Kyle (he had helped us last year so it was an easy call to make). Kyle came over on the same day and checked the AC unit (no issues) then headed into the attic. The air handler pan was full. Kyle explained the issue clearly, worked to get it fixed, and let me know of some helpful improvements we could make. He removed some old piping from the drain line and replaced it and replaced the safety switch which was fried. As I mentioned last time (but it's worth repeating), Kyle was efficient, honest, professional, and respectful, and he is incredibly knowledgeable. Kyle's fee was very reasonable. He came exactly when he said he would come and kept my wife and I informed the entire way. Kyle and his crew were very clean with their work site.
