I don't usually write reviews, but Jeremy absolutely deserves one…read more Finding a mechanic you can truly trust is rare, and Jeremy is one of those people who restores your faith that honest professionals still exist. From the moment I met him, it was clear he genuinely cares about the people he helps, not just the cars he works on. What impressed me the most was his honesty. Instead of trying to upsell unnecessary repairs like so many places do, Jeremy took the time to explain exactly what was going on with my vehicle in a way that was easy to understand. He walked me through the problem, showed me what needed attention, and even pointed out things that were still in good shape so I wouldn't waste money fixing something that didn't need it yet. The quality of his work is outstanding. My vehicle runs smoother than it has in years, and the peace of mind that comes from knowing the job was done right is priceless. You can tell Jeremy takes pride in his craft--he treats every vehicle like it belongs to a close friend or family member. But beyond the technical skill, it's Jeremy's character that really stands out. He's respectful, patient, and genuinely wants to help people. In an industry where trust can sometimes be hard to come by, Jeremy sets the standard for what a mechanic should be. If you're lucky enough to have Jeremy working on your vehicle, you're in great hands. I wouldn't take my car anywhere else, and I recommend him without hesitation. Thank you, Jeremy, for being the kind of professional people can rely on.

Jeremy called me within a week saying it was swapped out and ready for pick up. Truly appreciate Sotdorus for doing this work at a very reasonable price and turning the Expedition around in such a quick time.

He looked it over and noticed major issues that needed to be addressed and I had him perform the work which came out to around $3,000. I then scheduled an appointment with a mechanic in PA (whom I will not disclose here) and that mechanic told me that I needed the same repairs. When I showed them that the work had already been completed, they went silent. Now, I had only a week to find another PA mechanic to do the inspection and found one that could see the truck in the first week of October (so now, the truck would not be legal to drive). I took it in and they also came back with a list of items that needed to be done that did not match the first inspector. Frustrated, I took the truck back to Maryland and the initial mechanic went back through everything and he gave it a clean bill of health. I finally contacted Glenn's Auto (whom I have never been to) and I prayed and prayed that I would finally have an honest PA inspector. I knew that I was in good hands, the minute I walked into the door. The gentleman behind the counter (Glenn?) had a very kind nature and you could see it in his eyes that you would be taken care of. Glenn's Auto had my truck inspected that day and it passed. They also left the most generous little surprises in my truck when I came to pick it up. There was a letter inside that thanked me for my business and chips and snacks and trinkets with their business logo on it. How considerate! I really can't say nicer things about this company. I'm literally blown away by their professionalism and their HONESTY. I'm getting ready to move many hours away but I will guarantee that if I have future automotive problems and if the vehicles can make the trip back, then Glenn's has a lifetime customer with me because I will absolutely drive all the way back to have them work on my three vehicles.

*Edited 5/23/25* After leaving this my original review,…read moreWyatt called me up to talk to me about my review. He took full responsibility on the shop not taking the time to thoroughly address my concern with the noise that I was hearing. He went out of his way to try to right the situation as best as he could and I greatly appreciate his efforts and attentiveness. I'll start with the good about Glens -I like how you can schedule service online and the text/email updates -The person who I spoke to on the phone while my vehicle was in the shop was knowledgeable and kept me up to date with everything they were doing to try to solve the issue Now for the bad: I have never taken a vehicle here before and honestly only booked an appointment with them because Southern stables was farther booked out (who I have used) and needed the issue to be fixed sooner. Based on their reviews I figured I'd give them a shot. The issue with my wife's chevy equinox was the Stabil Trak and power steering light were coming on and off driving home in the rain. They spent 3-4 days diagnosing the issue and let me know what they found out and it was ready for pickup (I also had them do the yearly inspection while it was there). I go at lunch time to pick it up, drive back home (I live less than a mile away) and noticed a clunking noise coming from the front passenger side. Also they left the passenger side interior kick panel not attached all the way (it was hanging down). I didn't have time to take it back so my wife ran it back up to have them check out the noise and fix the panel. They reattached the panel and gave a quick noise is good to go and off she went. She told me she still heard the noise (this was on 5/15/2025) on her way home. I had to go that night up to York and it made the clunking noise to and from York. I took it Friday morning (5/16/2025) first thing for them to check it out to see what the noise was and I even recorded a video of the noise (windows up) where you can hear the clunking. The tech took it for a spin and put it on the lift and his conclusion was that the strut is old and needs replaced which is causing the banging. The woman working the counter also made sure to mention that "the safety inspection will pass with bad struts because they aren't considered safety issues". Ok fine whatever, I ask so is it safe to drive like that and she told me yes. I drive the equinox back home. Saturday 5/17/2025 I hop in the equinox to drive down to Annapolis to dj a prom. Still making the clunking noise, but now on RT 50 I start hearing a ting ting ting noise and then a noise of something falling off. When I apply the brake I can feel vibration. I go to pull off to the shoulder to see what is going on and the brakes are making a lot of noises and then all the sudden the front passenger wheel locks up as I come to a stop. Now I have to scramble to get my dj gear to the prom (thankfully I was only 2 miles a way and was able to get there on time from one of the people in charge). Had the equinox towed back home (650 dollars later), jacked the equinox up and took the wheel out (tire blew out when it came to a stop as well) and low and behold, the top bolt from the caliber bracket had came out, resulting in the the bracket to shift to the right which caught the wheel and cracked the rim. Ended up getting a new rim, new tire and new bolts for the caliber. Got everything put back together and guess what, no clunking noise. So thanks Glens for addressing my concerns about the clunking noise with so much concern and care. Since you guys acknowledge the noise but were so quick to say it was a strut instead of actually diagnosing the issue (which I would have been fine leaving the car there to be properly diagnosed) you guys ended up costing me close to a extra thousand dollars with the "yeah it is safe to drive". Congratulations on giving a great first impression experience to a customer you'll never get to come back.

Service: 10/10 My primary contact was Mike, however I spoke with many other staff in person and over the phone over the course of a week after I had my Crosstrek towed in with a destroyed transmission system. Everyone was courteous, helpful, and responsive. The new transmission they procured was practically brand new and installed professionally. The experience they provided me as a customer was as excellent as the final bill and they are now my go-to shop for transmission and suspension work. Thus, I strongly recommend this business. When I had my car towed in, it was after hours, but conveniently they had an overnight key/car drop off system that was secure and easy. The lobby was clean, organized, and offered free cold water.

Had my vehicle being serviced at local mechanic and they notified me that the PTU (Power Transfer…read moreUnit) that is part of transmission on all-wheel drive vehicles was leaking badly and needed to be replaced. They did not work on transmissions and advised me to take it to a transmission repair shop. Called the Ford dealership and they told me to replace it would run around $3300. For comparison I called some transmission shops and got ahold of County Transmissions and spoke with Hampton. He told me that it would run $2300 including labor if it needed to be replaced. They had good reviews so I decided to take it to them and save the $1000. Took it there on a Monday and Hampton told me they would have it done in several days. By Friday had not heard from anyone so I called them and was told that it was next in line to be looked at which would be the following Monday. My vehicle had been there five days and had not been looked at. On the following Monday, Hampton called me and said that it did need to be replaced and to replace it would run $3200. This was $1000 more than $2300 as he had initially told me and about the same as what the dealership would charge. Mentioned this to him and he said that the $2300 was for a used PTU that they would get from a salvaged vehicle, and a new one was $3200. He had not told me this when I first called and I had of course assumed the initial quote of $2300 was for a new one. Didn't even know they would consider putting a used one a vehicle because how would you know it didn't have issues. In light of this new information and for the fact I feel it was a bait-and-switch, I decided to take my vehicle to the Ford dealership and have them do the repair. The dealership's warranty on the PTU was much better and I know am getting a genuine Ford part. With an independent shop am probably getting a cheap aftermarket part. If I moved to another city or say was traveling and had an issue with it, I could take my vehicle to any Ford dealership and they would honor the warranty. If County Transmissions had done the work, then I was out of luck. Had to take an Uber back to County Transmissions and pick-up my vehicle and then take it to the Ford dealership. This costs another $50 on top of the $50 Uber charge had already incurred when I took my vehicle there and had to take an Uber to get back home as I live far from them. I opened up my SmartTag GPS tracking app as had placed an Android SmartTag GPS tracking device inside the vehicle awhile back. Was very surprised to see my vehicle had been driven around Vienna and appeared they were using it to run errands as it was stopping at various locations. So in the end I was out $100 in Uber fees, they had my vehicle for a week and nothing was done after Hampton telling me they would get to it in several days, plus they apparently used it to run errands. I would certainly not recommend this company in light of everything that happened. Note: Saw that Hampton had posted a rebuttal on my initial review where he states that the initial quote was an estimate to repair the PTU, but this is not true. The PTU is something that is replaced, not repaired, and he gave me a quote of $2300 to REPLACE the PTU. Plus they didn't need to be driving it around to determine where the leak was coming from since it was obviously leaking when I took it in and it had to be replaced. When I called him on Friday he said they hadn't looked at it yet; however they had been driving it around before that Friday. He mentions that they have a shuttle service and I asked about this but was told it didn't go to where I live.
