I usually don't write reviews, but this one deserves it for sure! So I wanted to get matching tattoos with a friend while she was in town for the weekend. And in a pinch saw their instagram after finding them online and came in yesterday to set up an appointment. Luckily they had an opening the next day and I took it. I have him an idea of what I wanted and he did amazingly. Kasai is amazing. He treated us well and was so nice and cheery through the whole process. The whole staff was really. The owner was there and just laughing and just a great time over all. The tattoos where well done and to be honest, took his time working it instead of rushing. It was such a pleasant experience and exactly what we wanted. I'm already thinking of what my next endeavor is going to be with him. Loved every moment here. I have gone to Taylor since 2019 when she first had her tattoo shop behind a nail salon! Since then, she's been tattooing my whole family (eldest bro and his wife + middle bro and his fiancé + my bf). Taylor is not only an amazing artist, she's also an awesome person. I did a lot of research looking for the artist I wanted to work with, and I'm so glad I did because it led me to Taylor. From the beginning, I felt so at ease with her. She genuinely cares about her clients and her art, and she listened carefully to what I wanted and then created a design more beautiful than I had even originally imagined. We completed it in two sessions, one for the outline and one for the color, and I could not be more happy with the finished result. Even with just the outline, I got so many compliments on it, but adding the color absolutely took it to the next level. I'm someone who didn't get my first tattoo (this was my second one) until I was a bit older (38) because I was nervous about getting something permanent that I might end up not liking, but that was never something I worried about with Taylor. I am writing this review because I made an appointment with Taylor in February 22 2023. My first appointment for my session was in May 29. When I met with Taylor I was told she would work on my sketch and she would do 5 sessions. May comes and i didn't hear anything from her. I called the main office line but never received a call etc. I decided to not attend her studio because of the lack of communication and attention to the client. I didn't feel comfortable working with her after giving her $500 as a deposit and never received any progress or updates. Took her 5 days to reply back if I wanted to stop by look at the sketch.... Till this date I have not seeing the sketch or anything. Here's a picture where is shows the lack of communication and days she took to reply back. She did refuse to refund the deposit. Huge shout out to Benny - a phenomenal human and incredibly talented artist. He was patient and took the time to help me find a design I loved. He was Deaf-friendly, using speech-to-text to communicate without me having to constantly ask for accessibility. I deeply appreciated that. He took the time to check in with me and make sure I wasn't in any considerable pain; towards the end when I expressed my inner elbow was a little tender, he was really gentle. For my first tattoo I had the best experience. The staff communicated well when making the appointment and the day I went in. I got Kasai as my artist and he was great. He made sure I was comfortable and good to go before we got started. He was not heavy handed which was nice. I would rate the pain a 3/10, I think he did an amazing job! Pricing was not at all bad. The owner, Taylor, was tattooing another client but she was still making conversation with my father and I. During my second tattoo we got into a little personal conversation in which Taylor and I related to one another, she gave some solid advice and she was extremely funny. Taylor did two pieces, half-sleeve on each of my forearms last year. The finished art pieces are as vibrant as it was the day she finished them. I get compliments all the time on the vivid lines and shades. Art-wise she is great at drawing and/or freehand designing if needed. Technically, she didn't need to use numbing ointment because she is technically precise and gentle. Her ink needle is at the right layer of the skin. If an artist penetrates the needle too deep then the skin will scar and not heals as well. If an artist penetrates too shallow then the ink will not stay and the ink will fade fast.
