I asked for a deep cleaning for my "Almost New" 3 bedroom, 2 bathroom home. Only 1 bed and bathroom are ever used as only my husband and I live in the home. They offered me 1 maids for 4 hours. Based on knowing what I wanted my home to look like for a deep clean, I asked for 2 maids for 3 hours (6 man hours). When they arrived, I did a walk through so they new my expectations: I asked them to dust everywhere, clean windows, clean baseboards, vacuum, do a full deep clean of the kitchen (including refrigerator), and completely deep clean the master bath (the 2nd bath has been used maybe 3 times). Well... when it came time for them to start wrapping things up, my husband and I did a walk through... 1. Baseboards we're filthy 2. Master shower still had visible stains... she said they wouldn't come out, my hubby tried... came right out 3. Fixtures in the master bath weren't touched... very dusty 4. She was asked to wipe down items around the sink... she was reminded again... she left without doing so 5. Items in the master bedroom had not been dusted... (fan, bed frame, picture frames, etc.) 6. She was asked to wipe down each TV again... I was like "you don't see that????" 7. No where in our home was dusted 8. Our kitchen counter had not been wiped well... they went around items... I told them they not only needed to wipe the items but also move them in a deep clean 9. They never got to our floors- like AT ALL!! There were enough items not done that had to be repeated that both maids weren't able to sweep and mop the floors in the house... they spent sooo much time doing a half-assed job.. and then having to redo, that my husband and I had to clean the floors... amongst other things that they "did not get to" 6 man hours for an almost brand new home... most of the home is not used. Emailed the company the next day to express my dissatisfaction... Followed up with pics... and can you believe that I was basically blamed for them not finishing and not doing a good job... apparently we had too much dog hair??? And get this... their maids can't stand on ladders... well.... can they bring the right materials then?? They have dusters with poles... wtf.. there should be no excuse to why a cleaning company can not dust high areas (our home is not vaulted!!!! If I could have given 0 stars I would have. No trash was taken out, no toilets where wiped down, the bath tub was not wiped down as well! Absolutely raunchy! Then when we emailed customer service their answer to us providing pictures of the terrible job that was done was tough luck want a discount for next time? Completely unprofessional! Not to mention while I was working from home the maid was playing an audio book on speaker! Unfortunately, Groupon won't allow one to review a company on their website if you get a refund.  Still, I wanted to share on some venue that I have had a very poor experience with this company. I initially bought a Groupon (for their service in SC) and scheduled my appointment.  Thirty minutes into the appointment, I contacted the company (via email and phone) to ask if someone was still coming.  1 1/2 hours after my scheduled appointment was supposed to begin, I received an email from Brittany Taylor (her signature lists her as Manager of Taylor Maid  Professional Cleaning Services, LLC) stating that the cleaner was sick on the previous day and unable to show up.  Please note that my appointment was at 1:00 p.m., so I would have expected that I would have been notified for a reschedule that morning. Still, I understand that things happen. So, I rescheduled my appointment ONLY FOR THE SAME SITUATION TO HAPPEN-- NO CALL, NO SHOW.  I waited thirty minutes again and called the company.  45-minutes after my scheduled appointment, I received an email from Brittany stating that she would investigate the matter.  An hour after my scheduled appointment was supposed to begin, Brittany called to apologize (stating that the cleaner had transportation issues).  In all fairness, she offered to reschedule (I declined because this was the second poor experience) and even offered additional cleaning hours.  However, my time is valuable (hence, why I tried to schedule house cleaning services), and I cannot afford to have such poor respect of my time and money. read more

I bought this groupon for my wife for her birthday. I was really excited to give her a break and have someone else clean for a change. However this groupon ended up adding more work to my wife's plate. The reason being is because they no showed 3 times. Each time my wife was the one who had to reach out, after waiting several hours, to tell them no one showed up and reschedule. There is a certain amount of prep work involved when getting ready for a cleaner, so they can do what you wan't them to do. She had to do that 4 times. So she would stress out prepping , rearrange her schedule, and wait, then do it all again. So really this added to my wife's workload and stress. I will say this. The cleaner who did up coming was awesome! She worked hard and the house looked great. Had she been the one and showed up the first time we would probably do this again, but the constant no shows made this a miserable experience. Now you would think in the service industry when something like this happens 3 times you would give someone something a little extra. However all we got was a "sorry". If you're at a restaurant and they mess up your order 3 times, they will comp it or give you a dessert or a gift card. So needless to say, the poor business management will keep us from using taylor maid or recommending it. read more

I bought a GroupOn coupon for services I needed done for a move out. I wasn't surprised that for a move out they charge an extra $29.99. At least they allowed me to use the coupon. Many companies I contacted, that offer GroupOn vouchers, wouldn't.... There was some mix up on the day of cleaning. Apparently, the woman who was supposed to do the cleaning got the day and time mixed up. No bueno and a huge inconvenience as I had services at my other house that needed tending to. Luckily, Brittney Taylor (owner) kicked into gear and found someone to do the work. She was a little young and just didn't give me that, "I'm going to do a good job with your house." kind of feeling, but she was a hard worker. If this wasn't a move out, I probably wouldn't have been comfortable with her doing a regular cleaning. I have raised three teenagers and they couldn't care less about being careful with your breakables. I'm thankful they didn't charge me the extra move out fee...I'm sure due to the time/date confusion. I'd probably use them again, for regular cleaning, but would request a more seasoned maid. read more

These people are SCAMMERS. DO NOT buy your Groupon for them. I scheduled them for 4 hours of deep cleaning. The first time I scheduled them I got an email on the day of service saying they had to cancel because the cleaner had a family emergency, okay totally understandable. So I rescheduled for today at 10am. She arrives at 10 am and I get my entire family, including the two dogs out of the house so she can thoroughly deep clean. We go out to breakfast (at a dog-friendly restaurant with outdoor seating), drop the dogs off to get groomed, and took the kids to a movie. I can see the cleaner going in and out on my ring camera, but no communication from her. 2pm rolls around (her 4-hour mark) and I see her leave on the ring camera...which I thought was a little weird...because I asked her to contact me when she was almost done. So we get home...and NOTHING is done. No floors were washed or vacuumed. In fact, she left piles of swept-up garbage all over the downstairs. She left her (empty) garbage bags attached to my doorknobs upstairs, her rags in my kitchen. Not one fan dusted, or window cleaned. The only thing we can see that she did was bleach the toilets and poorly washed the mirrors (they are streaky and cloudy) and cleaned the microwave (of all things to prioritize?!?). I am just dumbfounded, WHAT did she do for FOUR HOURS?! We also noticed on the ring camera that she left with the bag she came with and an extra bag...which looks like a grocery bag...filled with something... IDK what bc she left her rags in my kitchen sooo what was in that extra bag that she did not arrive with. We are also missing some small items. We contacted the manager and she apologized and said they would call us back tomorrow (since it was a Sunday). They didn't call, they emailed and blamed US for everything. Saying our house was basically too dirty to clean..that their was small toys and items on the carpets so they couldn't vacuum and that there was GUM on our wood floors so they couldn't mop or sweep properly?? lol What a JOKE and a LIE! Also saying the extra bag she left with was garbage..but she didn't put it in our bin and she didn't throw out any trash bags that she left all over my house. SO they are trying to say that she collected trash from my house and ..took it with her..in a small grocery bag...instead of the huge one that is still attached to my closet door!? They will try to dispute this I AM SURE. But this isn't just me, got to check their reviews on here, Groupon AND the Better Business Bureau. Several bad reviews with the SAME issues really show your true colors. SCAMMERS. They aren't worth the Groupon, trust me! This is the worst company I have ever dealt with. They cancelled an appointment, then rescheduled it. Then no-one showed up! I called and Britany finally found someone to come to clean (paid for deep clean, 4 hours) cleaner said she only had 3 hours and then didn't even get to any of the bedrooms (3). I have a small, 3 bedroom 2 bath ranch. I can clean it in 4 hours if I wasn't ill. At 10am, still no cleaner or call to tell me reason for lateness. I notified Taylor Maid by phone and email. Brittney Taylor notified me by email immediately, asking if I would like to reschedule or refund after apologizing. I choose REFUND, simply because this was our FIRST encounter. Update to review: after the owner refused to inspect my apartment herself she continuously sent me invoices for services I never received (weekly) THEN she sent it to collections. I had to get an attorney involved in order to remedy the situation. Let me begin this review by saying if I could give 0 stars I absolutely would. This was by far the WORST experience I've ever had with a cleaning service. I just relocated to a new area and was in the market for a new cleaning lady, I came across this business which had fairly good reviews and I was shocked and extremely disappointed by the experience I just had. I opted for the deep cleaning services and essentially received a quick sweep and vacuum which probably took no more than 20 minutes. When I arrived home and noticed that basically nothing had been done that I requested I snapped photos and sent the owner an email. She replied the next day and apologized for the "confusion" and advised the woman misunderstood my text and what I wanted. I clearly requested the services via email and reiterated via text that I had requested the deep clean so I'm unsure where the confusion lies. The owner also had the audacity to tell me she "discounted" the rate and sent me an invoice for services I did not receive. I've asked if she outsourced this business to an independent cleaner and also asked what their quality control process is to which I have not relieved a reply. I love Taylor Maid! I love that I can schedule a cleaning in a moments notice and they can accommodate almost any day I ask for. Margaret usually cleans our house and when we come home it's spotless. She always leaves a nice note for us when she's finished and is always so pleasant whenever I see her. I have our service set up for every 3 weeks but they also let me postpone it if I need to which is really nice. They are also really good at sending reminders so I don't forget and I really like the convenience of being able to pay the invoice online. A friend recommended them. So many things went wrong. The first person they sent didn't clean very well so they sent the person that cleans my friend's place. We were good for a few months until they decided to switch cleaners on us with out notice. I was rescheduled 3 different times due to their scheduling conflicts. This Wednesday they were supposed to have got it right-NOT! The lady was late (apparently a flat tire). I couldn't continue to stay at home and wait. I had to get to work. Its challenging trying to predict how many hours you need and that is an inherit problem with paying by the hour vs. paying for a job but for the groupon price this is a great deal and would use their service again. read more

She went about her work as quite as a mouse and cleaned a 1700 sf house top to bottom in three hours. I have Sandra cleaning my house every 2 weeks. She does a great job. The thing you have to remember is communication. Tell your person what's important to you. So in addition to standard cleaning, they can focus on the things that you are most likely to "check on." I leave Sandra a list each time and it is itemized by priority. Remember, they only get 2 hours! She stays the whole time (sometimes longer!) and checks off the items so I know that she got the job done. I trust her in my home, and will continue to enjoy her service within Taylor Maid. :) read more

I purchased a Groupon for this company in an effort to find a reliable house cleaner. What I actually ended up with were a late house cleaner who told me up front that it was her first day as a house cleaner and that she had not been trained. My floors were completely neglected in some areas, my toilet wasn't cleaned, my bathroom sink was never cleaned, the trash wasn't taken out. To add insult to injury dirty dishes were removed from the dishwasher and were placed in my cabinets. I have roaches for the first time since my dorm days. I incredibly disappointed contacted Brittany Taylor a manager and I was later informed that she is the owner. I informed Brittany as I started to uncover the loads of things left undone by the rookie cleaning lady. Instead of sympathy and good customer service I got blamed for the house cleaner not cleaning my house. Sounds unbelievable right? Imagine my surprise when read each of her replies. When I informed her of my dirty dishes she said "I just received your message. I spoke with my cleaner and she did not put any dishes away, she just cleaned the kitchen. Dishes are not something our cleaners do unless requested." I was both angry and confused. I am dealing with the devastation of finding a roach and discovering dirty dishes in my cabinets. Who else emptied the dishwasher? I saw her in my dishwasher washer I witnessed her in my cabinets I offered to show here were things went and she told me that she would figure it out herself. Why would I lie? What do I have to gain from lying. I'm so upset that I am doing what I never do and that is writing a review. When I told Brittany that I would be writing a bad review she threatened me with legal action for defamation. I used Taylor maid for a little over a year now. The quality of cleaning varies with the cleaner they send to the house. We had Amanda once and she was amazing. She did an excellent job cleaning the bathrooms and windows. Every other cleaner we had was mediocre. The reason I give them a two is because of my move out experience with them. I had scheduled two maids to come for 3.5 hours one day and the day of they emailed (not called) to tell me one of the cleaners wouldn't make it. I had the official walk through of the house early the next morning and had just got off a 12 hr shift when they sent this email. They were unable to find someone else to help the single cleaner. The house was a mess during walk through. The floors weren't clean the counters and stove top were dirty. My buyers almost backed out. Looking back they canceled a few of my routine appointments as well. This company is extremely unreliable. Don't depend on them showing up. read more

I originally used the service for a party we were having at our house, and then decided I would like a routine service with Taylor Maid! I would not recommend to anyone. The cleaner did an ok job, but stole our roku electronic device. We used the device 2days before she showed up and the day we had the cleaning it went missing... and that evening our Netflix account showed it being used on a different IP address than our home. The company did not have anything to say regarding this except their employee passed a background check so there was nothing they could do... we filed a police report so we will see what they can do because I would hate for this to happen to someone else. read more

I was initially very happy with this company! My husband purchased me a groupon to try them out before our second child arrived. I went back and forth with the owner via email and was VERY pleased with her response time and friendliness! I opted to have my downstairs deep cleaned and pay with the groupon and then whatever extra for the hours not included through groupon. It took 3 hours which was great. I came down stairs to find there was still dust under my couch and armoire in the main living room in plain view. My sink had been untouched (no dishes were left there) , and underneath my toaster was still gross. There was still dust on my chair rail and baseboards in my bathroom. If I could give this company 0 stars I would!! I bought a Groupon for a 3 hour cleaning for my mother (who is a senior citizen) For Mother's Day. I used them the previous year, and my mother seemed to like them so I decided to give them my business again. BIG MISTAKE!! They REFUSED to clean my mothers house, because of the "limit 1 per household" fine print, which I thought meant you could only buy 1 at a time per year. They refused to give me a refund, and when I complained to Groupon they also refused my refund stating that the "guaranteed refund time had passed", now I am disputing this charge with my credit card company since I didn't actually receive ANY cleaning. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY AND ESPECIALLY DON'T BUY A GROUPON WITH THEM!! They can arbitrarily refuse to give you the service you paid for...and pocket the money. My husband bought me a 4 hour house cleaning for Mother's Day. Bottom line: Taylor Maid cannot staff properly to fulfill their obligations. THREE different times a cleaning person CANCELLED w/ a bogus excuse w/ less than 24 hours notice. Today, it was 10 minutes notice. Each time, I ensured that my house was ready for a DEEP CLEAN and that all clutter was picked up/ put away, which is not an easy feat with 3 boys. If I had cancelled within 24 hours notice, they would have charged me $29.99 each time. My expectation is that they will honor their policy and pay me $89.97 to compensate for my time. read more

We hired Taylor Maid b/c we needed light cleaning for our move out. To say we were "disappointed" would be an understatement. When I arrived at the end of the clean, I literally had to ask the maid what was performed while she was there, b/c I wasn't able to note much difference after her being there for multiple hours. We were shocked with the lack of work performed and poor quality of what was done. There was not one thing we didn't need to go over again once the maid left. We are clean people naturally, we simply hired the service to help during our move. Our main objective was to have the place move out ready --Meaning fridge, floors, windows and bathroom presentable and clean. After the maid was there for 4 hours cleaning an empty house, the floors were smeary from a dirty mop, the fridge wasn't even touched, the microwave wasn't wiped, and you could still see a toothbrush ring on the bathroom counter. I could go on with complaints, but I hope the point is received. Atop it all, when we called the owner to discuss, her response was that we could pay to have the maid stay longer. I've tried out a couple different cleaning companies in the area and figured I'd give this one a try when I saw the groupon...BIG MISTAKE! Terrible cleaning experience (and I use the term cleaning loosely) and horrible service from the owner. When I got home from work the day of the cleaning I thought they had forgotten to come because everything looked exactly the same as I had left it. Then I saw the open container of cleaning solution on the counter (chemicals that could have harmed my pets had they knocked it over), a bag of trash sitting by the trash can, and the cash I had left for tip was gone. I went room to room inspecting each to see what if anything had been done. It was HORRIBLE! Hair left in the shower, the stove had barely been touched, the kitchen sink never washed, streaks from the mop all over my living room, and rings around my bathroom sink. I took pics and contacted the owner. The response I received was beyond reprehensible. She took zero ownership and offered another cleaning service at a "discounted rate". Why the HELL would I want another cleaning and at a cost at that??? She actually said that I should have requested to have the trash taken out, they don't normally do that. What kind of cleaning service is this? I know this is a new company, but after reading other's experiences before me, I don't think they will be around very long because they haven't changed anything to improve after receiving feedback. Do yourself a favor and don't put yourself through this horrible experience. I highly recommend two other companies I've recently tried - Miss Perfection and Molly Maid. The person who cleaned my house did nothing. I came home and my daughter and I didn't know what had been done. I told her I really wanted the bathroom to be tended to first and she didn't step foot in it. I noticed a pen on the floor before we left our house, was still there when we got back. Also, she did not dust. We have another house and we will be sticking with that company from now on. This was a total waste of money. Very disappointed. Also very poor customer service. Even after getting numerous confirmation texts / emails, the person who was supposed to clean for me on 12/19 never showed up. I had to contact the office multiple times before I started hearing back from them that they "couldn't find" the cleaning woman. They rescheduled for today at 1:30pm and offered me an extra hour of cleaning "free". The person today showed up 15 minutes late. I had to literally walk her through every little thing I wanted her to do, and she only did a halfway decent job with much of what she did do. By the end of the 4.5 - 5 hours, I was too over it to even have her redo stuff. The office staff was apologetic for the problems with the original person not showing up, but ultimately, this was not the experience I had hoped for to relieve stress before the holidays. read more
