For starters, Taylor Town Trade is under new ownership. The new owners really take care of the place. I've walked in several times and noticed they are actively sweeping and mopping the floors during business hours. Restrooms are kept tidy and stocked. Lots of cool vendors all throughout . If you like collectibles this is the place for you. It's like a huge indoor swap meet. The whole section to the left when you walk in is dedicated to cards. They also have a lot of older toy cars and figurines. My favorite was section was a guy selling his handmade lamps. He had everything from Chucky to Hello Kitty. It was the cutest lamps. I really wanted to get the Hello Kitty one, but I wasn't about to take it on the plane with me. My brother in law made a tag for his son to wear around his neck. It was $8 and he got to choose what color tag he wanted. Then, he picked out a design and it was laser etched on using the machine. read more

I'm not sure id recommend this place to anyone. It definitely looks like a place where all of the stuff that didn't quite make the cut for the goodwill got sent to die. There are like 3 good stores there but everything else really just needs to be thrown away. It's chaotic and disorganized and hard to tell who's in charge of what pile of stuff. I'm not a hater of collecting things. I collect weird stuff myself. I just know that when something is beyond recognition, functionality, or repair it becomes trash. If you're there for the reptile convention, that's pretty alright. Definitely walk around and compare prices first. Something sold for 100 at one table is being sold for like 15 bucks at another. It's very tiny and doesn't have much selection in comparison to Reptile Super Show. You're more likely to leave with a furry critter than a reptile from this place. The entry fee of $6 is the best thing about it. read more

I'd just like to say firstly I grew up coming to taylor town all the time, I enjoy talking to the vendors and catching up throughout the years! Though now that I come alone I am often followed, harassed and cornered a lot by random men. I only say this because although it is very disappointing that I always feel unsafe.. the bigger picture is i'm concerned for other women and teenagers! I highly suggest not letting your children come alone, and let them know of the dangers. read more

Unfortunately places like this are becoming harder and harder to come by but it makes me happy to have a local spot like this to browse around and chat with interesting individuals. First off the space is actually pretty big and they make good use of the space. The vendors for the most part are pretty interesting and pretty nice I have only had one problem with one vendor there but they have since vacated that space. Some of the vendors have been there for years and that's pretty impressive as places like this usually have a revolving door as far as vendors are concerned. Overall the space is pretty big and they make good use of the space, the events they host there are pretty nice as well and their is always something going on, the vendors for the most part are friendly, and the items they sell are pretty unique and interesting to say the least. read more

After years of going to Gibraltar Trade Center I figured I'd check out Taylor Town hoping it would fill the void after Gibraltar moves in December, yes, Gibraltar Trade Center Taylor is still OPEN THROUGH THE END OF 2014. I was wrong. It's kind of a bad copy. The feel was dead and maybe that was because its summer, not sure. Selection was next to nothing. It looks to me like Taylor Town Trade center was an afterthought of the owners whos main concern is there anchor tennents out front. I will be taking the time to drive to Mt. Clemens Gibraltar Trade Center once Taylor moves later this year. Thank goodness its still open.. read more

Please do not enter the building. Absolutely filthy and got bit by mosquitoes or something. People were rude and the stuff was nothing but very old dirty stock from God knows where. Very sad seeing infants in this place. I feel bad for those who are trying to make a living selling there. This place needs a good scrubbing whoever owns it. Disgusting! read more

Yeah, it's fine. There is plenty of interesting stuff there to look at. One of the downsides is that a lot of the collectible dealers are clearly scalpers that enjoy running out and buying the latest toys so they can sell them for double, sometimes triple, what they cost. It's very disappointing to those who want a fair chance when it comes to collecting. The staff at the front desk are so/so. The young employees are very kind however there is an older woman that has quite an attitude, and the slightest thing will set her off. She is a very unpleasant person. I would try to avoid her at all costs. I still go here every once in a while when i'm bored, but honestly, I would not recommend it. read more

As far as Detroit Flea Markets go, this is a hidden gem. It's easy to find something unique for a birthday or holiday, or if you have children and want to keep them busy while also experiencing that flea market nostalgia. Lots of cheap antiques and food and tobacco shops surrounding the plaza. Comics and weapons for boys, old and young, collectibles, action figures, figurines, video games. Atmosphere is light and relaxed, food is decent. You can find a bargain, try negotiating with some of the table vendors and you'll be surprised. I bought a parakeet for half what the lady was asking. read more

This place is a joke. If it wasn't for the twin brother selling old video games and the occasional toy show I would never go here. This place gives Flea Markets a bad name. they are not open a couple of days a week but they are open on weekends. read more

Taylor Town Trade Center is a friendly clean place to shop and on the weekends almost all of the booths are open and the vendors are friendly. Tues. Wed. Thu. most of the booths will not have a vendor but you can still make a purchase at the office or at the desk just inside the front doors. Security is monitored by camera so it s not a good place for a shop lifter as they will always get caught. It's a safe friendly place for the whole family. Happy's Pizza and many other fast food restaurants are in close proximity. They had a problem with a bad maintenance man but he was replaced with a new man who is keeping the place clean. read more
