I was looking for a cake for a special occasion and I was pointed in the direction of Sweets by Sheryll. Sheryll was very personable, bubbly, intrigued and very inviting on what I was looking for. She was able to give me a few ideas and options that would best fit what I was exactly looking for. Sheryll, through the whole process was very in tune with letting me know the price, time of completion and time to pick up the cake. I was never left wondering when the masterpiece would be completed. It was a very smooth process. Now let's get to the cake. The cake was exactly, no no it was beyond what I was expecting. The cake was moist, tasteful bite after bite, sweet but not over powering and the final result of the exterior of the cake was epic!! The cake looked so real, that no one wanted to eat it, lol. Thanks to Amelia, however, both the process of selecting the cake and the end product became a highlight of our wedding: 1) Amelia's set up with different flavored cupcakes to try with various icings and fillings was brilliant. It was a favorite part of the planning stage, and helped land on a combo that we could not have come up with on our own. 2) A lot of wedding cakes are beautiful, but I rarely see guests get up to admire them. Amelia's talent and versatility re: design was such, however, that our cake ended up being a focal point during dinner, and was shared by so many different guests on social media after. Amelia was so wonderful working with us from a previous concept to tailor it to our venue, and it looked amazing. 3) Critically, the cake TASTED as amazing as it looked. It's normally a win to get a slice of wedding cake that isn't dried out. Our guests expressed to us that they took second slices offered with coffee, and, as a cake aficionado, I ate several more both after the wedding and for breakfast the next day. Even my husband who doesn't like sweets loved it. The only downside is that Amelia may have set the bar way too high, and he's not getting cake like that local to us any time soon. I love wedding cake so I wanted to ensure my wedding cake was my favorite part of our wedding, and it sure was! From being flexible with times we could come by and sample, to learning how to make chocolate peanut butter candies to adorn our groom's cake, Betty was simply the best! Aside from her customer service, her cake was the best I've ever tasted. We had a traditional almond buttercream frosting with her almond pound cake for the wedding cake and a chocolate cake with peanut butter ganache and fudge buttercream (decorated in the Ohio State O logo) for the groom's cake. We purposely ordered extra so we could have some left over. Her craftsmanship was really great as well. She executed exactly what I had wanted. She even attends cake seminars to ensure she is always staying on top of the cake industry. If you're looking for the best wedding cake, I can't recommend Betty enough!

Our daughter loved the cake and for that we are thankful for them helping to make an incredible birthday experience for her. Their work very closely resembled the graphics we shared during the ordering process. I do apologize for this likely being a challenging design, but quite impressed that you and your team pulled it off so well and even hand delivered an hour before the event. We normally don't care for buttercream style cakes (mostly because it's just nauseatingly sweet and often gritty), but the taste of this cake which was vanilla layered with vanilla buttercream was a delight-- not overly sweet and has a great flavor, including the fondant too. We were also concerned that the cake would fall over like a tree as soon as we cut into it, but they secured it very well and that did not happen at all. Thanks again Aldo and team! We hope this cake wasn't too much of a struggle but you deserve an honest positive review. We highly recommend their work and will be considering again for any specialty cake requests in the future.
