a variety of cupcakes

I purchased a number of cupcakes and each one was extremely flavforful. We each shared from each other and really could not pick a favorite. Moist and tasty, creamy frosting, strong hints of fresh peanut butter and you can taste quality ingredients. These petite cupcakes pack a big punch.

We have food trucks weekly. A couple of weeks ago we had a different cupcake truck and it was mediocre at best - but this! This! This was a little piece of heaven in every bite! Each of the flavors had their own distinct and delicious flavor! The thing they had in common though is that each cupcake was moist, had beautiful decorative touches and was super yummy. I can't believe I didn't take a pic of any of them!

This was our first time eating a dessert from a food truck. My neice decided to walk up to the eye catching cupcake food truck and tell the guy in the window she would like a cupcake. This 3 year old told the man she would like a pink cupcake but he didn't have any so he found the closest thing a cupcake with sprinkles. The cupcake was moist and the icing was perfect. It wasn't too sweet or overwhelming. I regret only having one cupcake since my neice only allowed me to eat the little bit that was on my fingers while feeding her. I would definitely try this place again. A moist cupcake with the perfect amount of icing that won't give me a toothache is right up my alley. Can't wait to try this place again! Thanks to the guy in the window for granting the little 3 year olds wish of eating a cupcake instead of food!! You've won us over.

I wish I had a picture of a cupcake to show you but to be quite Frank it was so unexpectedly good it went in my mouth for I could take a photo at $2 a pop you're not that big but that's perfect. I like an occasional cupcake but I don't want liquid sugar and the one thing I like about their cupcakes is that they were extremely moist and the toppings were flavorful without being really heavy and it's hard to do that and a day where everybody's cupcake is just so heavy. Made my day

So many choices! Where do I begin?

My coworker brought these to a meeting. I'm not really a sweets person, but I ate three in the meeting and brought one home. They were all so moist and delicious. Each one had a surprise treat inside. I am definitely a fan!

They gave dad service and cupcakes were dryer than popeyes biscuits. Needed a fire hose to drink down these cupcakes.

Everything looks so good it's basically impossible to choose just one treat. Big fan of the Spam musubi --always grab one. The Dubai chocolate croissants are insanely good, and honestly anything ube they make is a must. The flavors are always on point and everything tastes super fresh. Perfect spot when you're in the mood to treat yourself (or when you fully accept you're leaving with way more than you planned). Easily one of my favorite stops for pastries and snacks.

It might be even better if they added a few raisins to it. We'll be back for this item periodically. We also tried a mango float ($6). It was good, and had more whipped cream in it than the one I'm used to, but I've probably had slightly better examples. For $6, it's not a great value: smaller than the cinnamon roll and not as good. I might get it again, but probably not at that price. This remains one of my favorite bakeries in town, and we'll be back periodically. Update: We tried another cinnamon roll. This time we thought it was fantastic, the best thing I've eaten in a long time. 25 seconds microwaved again. We'll have to get one periodically.

The next morning, we had the sausage and scallion bun at home. I liked it, maybe more than the pork bun, and would get it again, though it had the advantage of being reheated at home in the microwave. My wife liked the dough, the hot dog less so (and I must admit the hot dog in the croissant we had a while ago at Cruffin & Tea was better). I'd get this again, though probably trying the regular hot dog bun instead of the scallion one next time. I'd asked the server if she could reheat our items when I bought them, but she said no, and didn't seem to understand English well. So far, I've preferred the savory things to the sweets here. Each item was $3-3.25, so a better value than the other bakeries I go to. I will return to this place periodically, but I still prefer places like Cruffin & Tea and Le Petit Paris, so I'm giving Mai Xiang Garden Bakery an average rating, 3 stars: pretty good, but not above average for a bakery, other than the good value.

From the moment we laid eyes on the pastry case, our jaws were on the floor. Everything we had was amazing -- the breakfast sandwich on sourdough, ham & cheese croissant, matcha cheesecake blueberry croissant tart, and the brie country ham & hot honey galette. JUST WOW! We also got some lattes to fuel our morning and I opted for their special brown butter sesame latte -- yum! The bakery itself is very cute with some market and pantry items available to shop as well. The staff was very patient as we asked a million questions about all the pastries before making our selections. Highly recommend this spot if you're in the downtown Jax area!

A cute little spot with a lot of specialized baked goods that will make you want to get one of everything. The service was super friendly and helpful. We ended up getting a few of the baked goods to share for breakfast and I got the matcha lemonade. The lemonade was a good change of pace from my usual matcha latte. To share, we got the matcha cheesecake blueberries danish, the brie country ham and hot honey galette, and a ham and cheese croissant. Everything was delicious and devoured! The inside is also super cute to peruse around and maybe grab something. They have stickers, and a few odds and ends that might interest anyone to get at least one thing. Such a cute bakehouse in Jax!

We arrived early and found that very quickly there was a line that was extending out the door. That was for good reason. This place is excellent. Great staff, impeccable food, fantastic service. Inside is clean, neat with hearty tables. The front features their baked goods as well. All fresh, all look delicious. I tried the Tiramisu for dessert. No pictures. It was that good that it made me forget. We dined in, and to do so, you order at the front, are seated and are served shortly after. When you order, keep in mind that they bring bread to the table. Two types of bread with a delicious mix of oil and balsamic that is ideal for dipping. Shortly after we received our food. We split the sandwiches between us and one order of truffle fries. The muffuletta was so meaty and flavorful. The bread fresh and the perfect accompaniment. The eggplant likewise was so delicious. I was expecting more of historical panini type bread but this bread was perfect and grilled. The truffle fries...crispy, bursting with flavor. Really generous portions here of next level sandwiches. If you're in the mood for a great sandwich or a huge salad, this is THE place for you. I highly encourage you to check them out. You'll be glad you did.

Calamari was prepared well and not too chewy. We shockingly each chose a salad: the bistro steak, the chop chop Asian, the goat cheese, and the salmon. Each one was incredible. Mine was the chop chop and I absolutely loved it! It was HUGE and you can bet I ate every single bite. Loved it!' We finished with the brownie topped with ice cream for the birthday girl, it was extremely tasty! Thanks again to Evan for making our night! He was a fantastic waiter!
