So good! This cupcake truck has it going on! The cupcakes are smaller but big on flavor and my favorite thing is they nail the cake part! It's perfectly moist with out being greasy they don't use too much frosting and I was really happy we decided to try them out! After being bummed about a new food truck not being at the places posted on social media, I checked a different page and found this dessert truck along with another savory truck not too far up the road. Lunch had been saved! Now I know they've been around for awhile and I've been avoiding them. Why? Because I'd probably eat a lot of cupcakes. At $2 a piece I would certainly try. I showed great restraint and only ordered two: key lime and strawberry shortcake. I ate my lunch from the other truck and saved the cupcakes for a later, after dinner snack. I shared the key lime cupcake with my boyfriend who said that it was ridiculously amazing. So amazing he ate it all. He's lucky I like him. This was our first time eating a dessert from a food truck. My neice decided to walk up to the eye catching cupcake food truck and tell the guy in the window she would like a cupcake. This 3 year old told the man she would like a pink cupcake but he didn't have any so he found the closest thing a cupcake with sprinkles. The cupcake was moist and the icing was perfect. It wasn't too sweet or overwhelming. I regret only having one cupcake since my neice only allowed me to eat the little bit that was on my fingers while feeding her. I would definitely try this place again. A moist cupcake with the perfect amount of icing that won't give me a toothache is right up my alley. Can't wait to try this place again! I tried Le Petite Cheri Cupcakes for the first time at the very end of a local festival in Metropolitan Park. Le Petite cupcakes are really just the perfect size to grab a few flavors to try and possibly share with a friend--or her 10 year old son. At just $2 per cupcake (at least that's what I paid), we tried the Key Lime, Salted Caramel, Strawberry Shortcake, Maple Bacon, Vanilla Coconut & the Red Velvet. All of them were so cutely decorated and pretty tasty without being dry or terribly sweet. It was a pretty warm day so some of the icing was melting just a bit. Overall, I would recommend trying Le Petite Cheri cupcakes. They offer a ton of flavors and their cupcakes were moist. I must confess that most of the icing was consumed by my friend's kid, but I would definitely patronize them again to see what other flavors I'd like. I work in downtown Jax & saw this truck was going to be at the urban food court in downtown jax & decided to try them. I really was craving a donut..lol But i though a cupcake will do it..lol . I went for 1 and got 3! All amazing!!! I had the raspberry cream ( i think it was the name) maple bacon, strawberry short cake . I loved them all but the last 2 were my favorite. The maple bacon had a bunch of real bacon pieces ! Just amazing! It was my first visit but wont be my last. Never had such amazing cupcakes like these! read more

I wish I had a picture of a cupcake to show you but to be quite Frank it was so unexpectedly good it went in my mouth for I could take a photo at $2 a pop you're not that big but that's perfect. I like an occasional cupcake but I don't want liquid sugar and the one thing I like about their cupcakes is that they were extremely moist and the toppings were flavorful without being really heavy and it's hard to do that and a day where everybody's cupcake is just so heavy. Had a couple cupcakes today at the Jax Food Truck Food Court. Normally I'm not a big fan of cupcakes but it was convenient and I had a hankering for something sweet after lunch. The gentleman manning the truck was very kind and as there was no line at the moment, we had a nice little conversation. Ended up getting three cupcakes; salted caramel, strawberry shortcake, and hot chocolate. My son ate the strawberry shortcake and said it was the best cupcake he's ever had. Well, he's thirteen so the sample size is fairly small. But I had the other two and while not the best I've ever had, I'd rather eat one of these cupcakes than any other I've had in the last year. I'll be on the lookout for this truck in the future. They've got a lot more flavors I haven't tried yet. read more

I am such a food truck fan so when I saw the Le Petite Cherie truck, I walked up to see what they were serving. The standard cupcake fare was on the menu including red velvet, vanilla and chocolate coconut, cookies 'n cream, vanilla, chocolate and chocolate ganache. For $2.50 a pop, I decided to choose two to try - red velvet and chocolate coconut. I consider myself a fairly good judge of red velvet cupcakes given the sheer number that I've eaten in the past couple of years. This red velvet cupcake was striking in appearance with the scant amount of icing on top. Biting into it, I realized that not only was the icing lacking in abundance, but the flavor was too. It was rather bland and actually, if it wasn't red, I probably wouldn't have known what flavor it was. The chocolate coconut cupcake however was very good. The owner told me that there was coconut in the batter, in addition to the frosting. That really seemed to enhance the flavor. The cupcakes were moist and the owner was very kind, which are two things that will set Le Petite Cherie Cupcakery up for success. read more

Tried a peanut butter and jelly cupcake ($2.50) recently when the Le Petite Cheri mobile cupcakery was at Key Auto Group on Southside with The Salty Fig food truck. The truck itself is good looking and the "frosting" at the top is a nice touch. The cupcakes aren't baked on the truck. There were six varieties (1 was vegan). The frosting was good: ample, whipped, light and not too sweet and packed with peanut butter flavor. The cake unfortunately was on the dry side. There was a large amount of grape jelly (tasted like Smucker's) in the middle. It tasted more like a pb&j sandwich than a cupcake. On second time trying the cupcakes I ordered the vegan pumpkin. (they'd run out of both sweet potato and pumpkin, the two I was eager to try) It was perfectly moist and flavorful, with a little icing and a few chopped nuts on top. Markedly better than the first cake. Now I'm curious to try cupcake #3! read more

(Big mistake) it was very obvious how popular they are since they only had a few to choose from at the end of the night. But those few were fantastic. Today I made sure to get there really early, I picked up the salted caramel (bakers recommendation with chocolate cake), the cupcake was so so light and just overall a great bite. We also got the cookies and cream, raspberry and cream, red velvet, snickerdoodle, and butterfinger. All of them are delicious. You cant go wrong. My sister just brought me a red velvet cupcake and the color was darker than whay I'm used to but no biggy. However, the taste was an issue. This cupcake unfortunately doesn't taste like red velvet at all. It was moist, icing at a very bit of a tang to it. I might try another flavor next time. I was at the food truck food court and saw this truck. For me cakes have to be moist. These were some of the most moist cupcakes I have ever had. I tried the twix and the vanilla. The twix is super super sweet with a perfect chocolate frosting. The vanilla was a solid cup cake great flavor profile very moist and not to sweet. Look forward to trying new flavors. read more

These cupcakes are hands down the best cupcakes I have ever had. They're so light and airy, and they don't even fall apart when you eat them like some other moist cakes I've had. The icing on each one is perfect. Just the right amount of sweetness without being overbearing. Every time I see this truck I always get some cupcakes. I have had so many of their flavors and I'm never disappointed. It's literally impossible for me to recommend a specific flavor because they are all amazing. They recently started making fresh squeezed lemonade too. I shouldn't have been surprised, but it was the best lemonade I've had in a while. I've tried Le Petite Cheri twice. Their first day out I bought a 1/2 dozen combo pack. Price is a little high for regular sieze cupcakes, $2.50 a piece. In the combo I got banana's foster, peanut butter cup, chocolate overload, vanilla, pumpkin spice and red velvet. I have to say I was disappointed with each cupcake. They were all dry and lacking flavor. The banana's foster cupcake had a really light a fluffy frosting but it was covered in bottled caramel topping, which is a no-no in my book. The pumpkin spice had the weirdest tasting frosting, maybe it needed sugar, and the cake had a flour after taste. . The vanilla, which should be great, tasted like banana. I don't know if it absorbed the flavor from the other cupcakes, but it definitely wasn't vanilla. I wanted to give it another try so I recently bought 2 cupcakes at the Food Truck Rally the Friday before the FL-GA game. We tried red velvet and coconut. Again, the cake was dry. The coconut was lacking coconut flavor in the cake, but relied on coconut flakes in the frosting. I really wanted the cupcakes to be great since this is such a great concept. Hopefully with time and recipe tweaking the cupcakes will improve! read more

Le Petite Cupcakery came to my work and catered an event along with 4 other food trucks. I am normally not a huge cupcake fan, but I decided to give them a try. They had a ton of different varieties but one stuck out to me- key lime. I've tried a ton of key lime pies when visiting the keys, and its been a while since I've gone, so I said what the heck. The owner and his young daughter were as friendly as you'd imagine, and when I ordered it they both said it was their favorite. I was not disappointed. I won't critique every inch of the cupcake like some commenters, I will just say this- that was the best dang cupcake I've ever had. My expectations as a non-cupcake guy were low, and that blew me away! Come Christmas I will be ordering some more! read more

All of which were full of flavor and moist. I can only say that the previous comments from the "Lady S" have to be mistaken or from the previous owners as the current fare is amazing. I must make an assumption that the time that you mentioned being apart of the baking world that might have dulled your tastes. If so, I hope that you would give them another shot as having worked in multiple industrial kitchen positions as well as over 10 years in the back house of 2 to 3 star restaurants I happily put my business and my companies business in the hands of Le petite. read more
