I have been coming to Tazza for years, and it's one of the things I will miss when I move soon.The staff is always friendly and if you go there a ton like me, they remember your name and your order. In fact, when I was in highschool, I would stop at Tazza every morning for an Iced Chai and it got to the point where I would walk in and they would immediately start making it before I even ordered. Even now that I am out of college and am in town much more rarely, the staff still always asks me how I am and greets me so nicely. The only reason why I give it 4/5 stars is because it is a tad overpriced and I know for a fact (from a past employee) that they put the exact same amount of iced latte/coffee in a small and large cup, so when you get a large you are just paying for more ice, which is deceiving. read more

It's a nice place to sit and have coffee and a muffin (they're great) I like the new location in town, more open and spacious. Coffee is good there, the baked goods are great.. The only thing that I don't care for is the "armonk attitude" from the staff and patrons ..I'm from armonk, I get that it's become uppity over the years, but it's a little too pretentious even for me. James was a very friendly and personable. He recommended the salted Carmel latte (very yummy)! Hubby ordered a pesto veggie sandwich and ate with gusto. I chose the Mediterranean omelette with gluten free toast. It was both flavorful and healthy! Delightful to find Tazza cafe - will frequent more often! read more

Disappointed in such rude service! I stepped up to the counter as another gentlemen behind me came up to the counter. The women looked up from counting the cash and said "Hi Guys" and I waited for her to stop counting the cash to order lunch. The lady behind the counter recognized the man and took his order despite the fact that he was behind me in line. He proceeded to order and she went back to counting her cash before she again looked up at me. She didn't say "Can I help you?" nothing -- That's when I shook my head and walked out. Apart from its undeservedly fortuitous location, I have no idea why people patronize this place. My experience boils down to 2 words: incompetent and rude. When it comes to creating/serving fresh coffee, they have no idea what they're doing, and they care even less. My drink orders are regularly greeted by indifference at best, hostility at worst. Some employees also simply don't understand the brewing process and how to create a proper cup of coffee. Why should they care--when so many of them make it clear they couldn't care less about the miserable customer experience. If you must have a cup of coffee in Armonk, I urge you to consider their other options in town. read more

Hey this place was good and it crowded so what's with the poor reviews? The strawberry mango smoothie was fresh and delicious; the ice coffee was very good; the nut and berry oatmeal was really great, brown sugar, creamy and tons of nuts. Food delivered to your table was nice to avoid having to wait. Ver clean and polite service. read more

This place is bad we went there about 15 minutes to close and they turned off the tv screens so we couldn't see the menu and they only had coffee and I wanted an espresso also they were rude to me about it. read more

Avoid this place at all costs. Not only is the staff rude, unprofessional and clueless but the owner James needs to go to anger management classes as well as regular management classes. Came into this bug infested dirty place for the first time today by accident. As a teacher, I was meeting someone and we were on the way to the library but they were not open. We went to this place to work at the table and of course eat and have juice and coffee. As soon as I walked into this TOTALLY EMPTY place, I was told that I could not use the wifi because I did not buy anything yet. I told the staff I was just meeting my associates for the first time and of course was going to eat and drink as soon as we met and introduced ourselves. The rude employees then called the owner James who proceeded to kick me and my guest out of the EMPTY PLACE because I did not buy anything. I told him I was going to buy something in five minutes and he said I had to buy something right then and there. I then picked up a banana and a water to charge it. He said it was not enough to charge so I got my cash for a $4.02 purchase and they actually gave me 98 cents back. I hate those places who have a tip jar and a penny jar at the counter and give 98 cents back. The whole experience at this dusty buggy unfriendly place is enough to make sure I never come back and I recommend no one I know goes there. There are so many other places to go in this beautiful village than this disgusting rude dirty cheap bland ugly non inviting tasteless place. If ZERO STARS were available - I would give them a MINUS STAR!! KEEP AWAY. I've been a customer for years and happy with the quality of the coffee (very strong), breakfast menu, lunch salads and sandwiches. But today I was blown away by their rudeness! After a long hike my husband and I with our dog decided to go for lunch since they have outdoor seating & I've noticed dogs there before. We bought a salad, a wrap and 2 drinks. Since it was a hot day, I asked for a glass of ice for my husband's drink and even though they have large plastic cups for their iced drinks, they would only give me a small 4oz cup. Then I asked for a large glass of water for my dog, well the look on the woman's face could have killed and again she would only give me 2 4oz glasses of water. When I reminded her I've been a customer for many years, she chose to ignore me. I stood my ground and kept asking for the water and finally the man behind the counter gave me a large glass of water. If this is how they treat their loyal customers then they're not going to have many customers. Bagel Emporium & Armonk Country Kitchen make great coffee & have a super breakfast menu as well as lunch menu. And Bowls just opened across the way with fabulous salads. All these places and more make Armonk a terrific place to visit; warm & friendly to you & your dog. Tazza beware!! One loyal customer who is very upset & disappointed! read more

Stay away if you want a relaxing experience. Although the coffee and pastries are good, the atmosphere is excruciating. Their sound system is tinny and it's made even worse by the loud rock music they play. Their bad acoustics -- chairs scraping against a cement floor -- makes it even worse. Dropped by this morning on the way to work to give it a try for the third time. Strike three. Service is chaotic and slow. On its own that would be an issue (though maybe excusable?) but on top of that the staff are just rude, apparently incompetent or uncaring, and borderline hostile. Ordered a medium red eye which came out lukewarm and bitter (kinda like my review, maybe a little warmer?). I figured maybe 3rd time lucky on my experience here, but no such luck. A surly staff member who makes a point of ignoring you places cups of coffee at the pick up area, so you have no idea which coffee belongs to whom, and then says sharply "that's not yours!". I've been on the other side of the counter, back in college, roasting and serving coffee. I know what good coffee is and also respect what the staff do & treat them with courtesy - they deserve it as people. However, there's just no excuse for the inconsiderate, abrupt, rude treatment (much more than what I described above). Over the course of three visits, my experience was that the various coffees and espressos I ordered, the service I received, and the attitude, training and efficiency are all so poor that this place is surviving simply by the grace of good location. Clearly there's a regular crowd, wow you guys are willing to put up with that coffee. What was that about Shinola? I'm taking my money elsewhere to spend, even if it takes a few additional minutes out of my day. If the coffee and espresso and food were off the charts, maybe I wouldn't mind so much being treated with contempt. If I want really good product and so-so service there are plenty of options in NY and CT that I'm willing to put up with. The "trifecta" of insipid coffee/espresso, inefficient service, and rudeness? Tazza is the perfect cozy little cafe. Everyone in this town stops in here - kids after school, gossiping teens, commiserating businessmen, and of course, the ubiquitous soccer moms. The staff is friendly and remembers you. Good range of coffees and teas, and their frozen hot chocolate is delicious! They also have soy milk and gluten free/allergy friendly foods, along with sandwiches, salads, and yummy parfaits. I only wish there was more seating! read more

I really like this coffee shop, they run a tight ship and staff is on point. Coffee is good, I also like their apple pie oatmeal, and wraps. It's a little pricey, but not too bad. What the Armonk area certainly does not lack is an abundance of coffee shops. However, it does lack in coffee shops that truly stand out. Tazza Cafe, however is one of those few jewels. Today we went and ordered coffees, a vanilla coffee frostee, the Spinach Feta Bistro pastry, and an Egg-Bacon wrap. The coffees, which I didn't taste myself, were described as very smooth, with an aroma that makes Starbucks pale in comparison. The wrap was expertly rolled and really stuffed with fluffy eggs and bacon. The coffees frosted was not as sweet as I expected, a nice surprise, and was refreshingly cold with just enough coffee to balance the sweetness and delicate vanilla flavor. The spinach pastry was another delightful surprise, an elegant puff pastry package of creamy, savory, deeply flavored spinach. It had just enough texture to not be mushy, and just enough seasoning to keep it from being bland. I personally think this location is much better than the one in Millwood. When I feel like something m a bit more rustic, I'll probably stop by Armonk Country Kitchen just across the street, but for something a bit more refined Tazza Cafe is the perfect fix. read more

For better or worse, this is the nerve center of Armonk's social network. Gossip is shared over steaming cups of coffee and pastries we all pretend don't have any calories. The free wi-fi is a major bonus. Counter help is friendly. The outdoor tables are nice in warmer months, although a few umbrellas for shade would be appreciated. The indoor tables are cozier, but you'll get blasted with a nasty draft in the winter whenever the front door opens. read more

Heard the manager or owner yell at customer for not buying food and just a coffee. I am new to the area and thought Tazza Cafe looked like a cute and appropriate meeting grounds to eat at with my co-workers. Well, let's discuss how the cute place proved to be one worth never again attending. While waiting for my co-workers to join me and my client, I took out my laptop to give her some information on our company. We asked to use the wi-fi in order to access my e-mail account. No less than 5 minutes later, we were bombarded by one of the employees telling us we were unable to use the wi-fi unless we were eating. I just figured she was joking, since she quickly ran away. Also, I never knew places allocate a time limit on when customers need to have food in front of them. To my surprise, 10 minutes later, still waiting for the rest of our group to show and actually discussing what we wanted to eat, the owner himself, appears at our table, disgust dripping from his mouth as he rudely reprimands us for sitting at a table without having food in front of us. He told us that if we did not leave immediately without food in front of us, he would call in other means of force to remove us. I had to act professional in front of my client and told the owner that there was no need for rudeness and that when the rest of my group arrived, I would be more than happy to order. His reply was that our patronage was unnecessary and to instantly leave unless I obliged to his orders. Mind you, if while I was waiting, I saw people were walking around with food in hand, looking for an empty seat, I would have offered my seat to them immediately. However, this establishment was filled with empty tables and seats all around where I was sitting. Again, not wanting to make a scene, I go up to the counter, plan to buy a piece of fruit (since, I was going to eat my meal when I was joined by others), and the owner has the audacity to ask if that's all I was eating, followed by telling me I better not be paying for that with a card since there's a $5 minimum. He told me to go get your cash, if I brought any at all. And, at that point, I decided there is absolutely no way he will be receiving a cent from me. I brought my group across the street to the sweetest staff at Bowls, and will never be returning to Tazza Cafe. I cannot believe a person who works, let alone owns, a restaurant built upon customer service and interaction can treat other people with such inhumane manners. Please, do not give your time or money to such a worthless individual. read more

I was in Armonk for work and decided to stop in Tazza for a cappuccino. I ordered the cap for there and I was expecting to have it served in the correct type of ceramic cup, but it came in a coffee mug. Every time I have been handed a cappuccino in a coffee mug it was terrible. No surprise that it it was not good. It's a shame because they use a Simonelli espresso machine. When a cafe serves a cap in a coffee mug, they feel inclined to fill the cup because they'd be handing a customer a half empty drink, but I honestly rather have a half empty cup. In this situation, they either fill it with so much milk it just becomes a latte or they fill it with over-steamed milk. In Tazza's case, they topped it with a lot of over-steamed foam. They should either stop serving it in a coffee mug or buy the correct ceramic cups. On a positive, Tazza offers mini corn muffins, which is great because I wasn't in the mood for a whole muffin. The corn muffin was good. It wasn't diluted with cake batter, like many establishments do and it was not dry. read more
