I contacted TB Moving and they contracted out to Seka Moving. Complete night and day experience 7 years later. I provided a highly detailed and accurate description of elevator access/stairs, distance between both residences, my item inventory, etc. The quote was $1800. This was the best price of the three companies I consulted so I went with Seka. On the day of the move, all my belongings were already packed into boxes and taped neatly, ready for the movers to load onto the truck--save for the bulky items, i.e. furniture. The new residence was only 20 min from my old residence, all local roads, no traffic. I waited until they loaded all items onto the truck to leave and meet them at my new home. After getting there then waiting over 45 minutes for them to reach the new residence, I called them, and they stated they were "almost there." Another 20 minutes went by before they showed up. When asked, they did not communicate a reason for the delay, did not own up to taking any breaks, having issues along the way with traffic or transporting my belongings, etc. I was horrified when they started unloading the items into my new home. Every piece of furniture was damaged, including TV console, 65" TV, floor lamp, loveseat, sofa, dining table, dining chairs, bed frame, 3 dressers, and both night stands. The only things that weren't damaged were the smaller items I personally packed with care and diligence in the moving boxes myself. The kicker was when they wrote down the final quote that I was expected to pay, and it was $2200. My jaw dropped. They were looking for a tip and I pointed out all the things they damaged--that's where their tip went--and noted the obvious which was the $400 price jump from the original quote when nothing changed from my detailed report. I took multiple photos of the damage. They refused to honor the original quote and just suggested filing a claim so I immediately phoned Seka moving. My "contact" was conveniently out of office, which he did not mention when he texted and called me the day before to confirm details and wish me well on the move. I persisted in following up via phone, text, and email and finally received the claim paperwork. After filing, I got a measly $300. What a slap in the face. If I wasn't moving and starting a new job at the same time, I would've taken the time to seek counsel and sue them for thousands more. Stay far away from TB Moving or "Seka moving." read more

Moving it is said to be one of the three biggest stressors in your life and I can tell you that I agree!! I called TB Moving along with three other movers. Alex spoke with me and spent a ton of time going through ever step and every piece of furniture I had in a house that is very large with lots of different and expensive furniture. Many rooms were custom pieces of furniture built to fit so I had a major concern that who I hired needed to be the best PERIOD! I can tell you that TB Moving is the best. After I spoke with Alex I didnt speak again to TB Moving for 6 months. I called back in spoke to Diane and she picked up the ball and ran with it. I was concerned with all the time that passed that my info would be gone and my initial hour and a half consult would be a waist...well it wasn't. They showed up on the day they said they would, early. The six men that showed were professionals; clean cut, courteous and expeditious. They were to say the least a well oiled MACHINE. They put my concerns to rest and after the initial walk through the morning of my move needed little direction. I know this sounds all too good to be true but sometimes with the right company moving doesn't have to be on the top three list of stressors. With these guys my move was painless. Lastly, they arrived at my new house unloaded with a new group of movers and once again they were pro's. They left my house clean, put the furniture where I asked them and to my shock at the very end the manager was completely honest with me and showed me where an item was broken which I would have never noticed until weeks later. Alex, honesty these days is not held in high regard because people rationalize. You did not and for that I thank you. It is a testament to you and your company the level of work ethic and character traits you displace, in the most personal of places, a customer's home. I moved from Weehawken NJ to Atlanta GA. My experience with TB moving was excellent. Dianne was my main point of contact. She was very helpful and helped me with an estimate over the phone. I asked for an on site visit and Alex came out to look at my stuff and give me a more accurate price based on what I had to move. Alex showed me on the computer what websites to review to determine if the moving companies I was considering had any issues based on their DOT number as well as whether they were a broker or a carrier. I liked the fact that he helped me research the other moving companies including his own. Finally the day of my move came on Sunday April 6th. Alex and three other men came to move my furniture and belongings. They were very professional and took extra care to protect my belongings. Alex gave me an estimate of Thursday or Friday to receive my belongings on Friday. Alex as well as Dianne kept me informed every step of the way. They notified me of the next steps as well as when I should expect my furniture. Wednesday night one of the men (Nikita) who I met on Sunday was the driver/ mover called on Wednesday night to give me an ETA of his arrival on Thursday. Thursday cones and Nikita and Baha arrive with my belongings. They were so nice and helpful. They unpacked and put my furniture back together, they put everything exactly where I asked them even if I changed my mind. The process to insure I had all of my belongings was very easy as well as thorough. Alex numbered every piece of furniture I had on the day of my move. As they brought my stuff inside, they called out the individual number for that piece of furniture and I crossed it off the list. My move was done way back in the end of October 2014, i was moving from Brooklyn to Texas, and finally now i got time thank those guys who did perfect job for me! As it was not my first move i made arrangements beforehand, and as many people not connecting with this bussiness i started to ask my friends, neighbours and relatives about a reputable moving company with reasonable charges. Apparently it appeared that two of my friends used Tb Moving within the last year , after i found all the good reviews here on yelp i decided to give them a try. And guess what?They did not disapointed me! The crew with was extremelly professional and polite, they picked and wrapped all my furniture in flying colors and also double wrapped with tape boxes that i packed myself (with my home stuff like kitchen, cd's, cameras, etc). Also price for the move was very reasonable unlike other companies. Delivery was also in time (in 7 days after pick up ) which was very good for me caue i really needed my matress!!!!!!! Recently they did great job for my cousin in Brooklyn (local job), everythng was fast, quality based and with reasonable price, so another big THANK YOU comes from his part as well. Ocassionally got over rather negative review from i guess lady over here, well, within at least 4 moves for me , my friends and family members nothing ever got lost , you d better keep a good track of your stuff, especially during the move ))))))))))) I'd definatelly recommend TB Moving to those who need quality services with reasonable charge! tb moving is the best , it's like nothing else you can ask for . it was my 1st move in usa and i was pretty scared listening to other people's experiences . but i think i had the best experience 1 can have , i'm always going to recommend my friends to go for tb moving and nothing else . as soon as we contacted these ppl online , they called us and my husband spoke to peter colla . i had spoken to few other moving companies as well but my husband was so impressed with his conversation with peter that he forced me to go with tb moving only . the rates are pretty normal and i even booked with peter on call rather than online . he sounded very relaxed and easy-going and half of my fears vanished then and thr . he even gave me his personal no. so that i could reach him quickly and easily . he was very assuring that i can have any no. of boxes and i should only tell him about the big stuff that we want to move . on the day of the move , 3 guys arrived by 8:30 in the morning with a big truck . they were very polite and nice and friendly . after loading the boxes , they quickly packed the bed , tv and the couch and we were out of the house within an hr. even on arrival at our new house , they made sure to be careful with our stuff and the new house walls . then they very efficiently and quickly unpacked everything and assembled them again and even arranged the stuff and boxes wherever we wanted them . the moving seemed so seamless and effortless and i tipped them more than i had decided for !! they totally deserved it , thank you tb moving and peter :) read more

TL;DR - Excellent Quality, Professional Movers I had a very short move (Hoboken to Jersey City) with not too many things, but I did have an expensive bed frame on a 5th floor walkup. A number of other companies pitched lower starting numbers, but Diane was very clear up front about how much everything would cost and that it was a flat rate. And everything she claimed and promised came through. More than basic competency though, she talked me through the moving process and was very helpful in giving buildings insurance info and making sure everything worked out well. As for the actual movers, Sergio and his colleagues Timur and Bato, were extremely competent, efficient, and friendly. They had all of my stuff packed up and ready to go within the hour (I didn't have that much stuff, but they were much faster than I expected). They handled my expensive frame and mattress very well and very respectfully. Funny enough, the only things that broke in the move were the lightbulbs I decided to carry myself, and promptly dropped. What really amazed me though is the amount of care that they put into making sure the bed was properly reassembled. They seemed to care about it more than I did, which was a pleasant surprise. And all in all they were very up front about everything, and professional above all else. They ended up making a move I was very stressed about incredibly seamless and quick. Most amazing experience. My first move within US and after reading reviews I decided to go with TB moving. I asked lot of questions and got almost all the details but what I didn't know was if we do not have space for truck in delivery we have to pay extra $250 for delivery, which came as a surprise but delivery man confirmed that one day before. Guys who wrapped my stuff were very friendly and and made me feel the move smooth. Alex called me couple of days after and as I was not ready to pick up the stuff he moved my date and also made it available on the exact date I required (he gave the credit to luck). The guy who came to my home on delivery was little uncooperative and wanted things in a particular way which he commanded, which I felt little uneasy on and later found out that the coffee table was broken. After a 1-2 week Alex called me and tried to get the details on the broken furniture, even during the call when I was harsh and angry, he was very professional and tried to look for solution. Finally they paid me. Except for the delivery guy attitude (rather being courteous, he behaved as if broken thing is no big deal) rest of all the things were very happy about and I sincerely believe they do own the responsibility on safe delivery after all the interaction and experience I had with Alex and other TB moving people. read more

They really are great. They work with a flat rate, not by the hour. But in my opinion they did even more than they were supposed to without the slightest complaint. They work fast and are careful with the furniture/boxes. I immediately contacted Diane, and Alex emailed me back within a day apologizing for the damage. He explained that they were not liable for pressed wood furniture, but I disagreed saying that if they pick up my furniture, they are accountable for its safe delivery. We settled on a refund, yet this left me with a bit of sour feeling that I had to defend my case even though there were pictures taken on the spot. They gave me a window to arrive between 8am and 10am, they arrived at like 8:15am :). They were great at disassembling furniture before leaving and reassembling upon arrival, very good at wrapping everything to prevent damages and were careful with all boxes and furniture. The delivery driver arranged an early morning delivery at 7 AM, which worked great with my schedule. Upon arrival, I saw my boxes all over the floor of the truck, which was quite frustrating. My glass-top table was broken in pieces, the bookcase footing was fractured, the plastic shelves bent, and the desk back support came out of line and had a few scuffs. I had a very disappointing experience with TB Moving & Storage, and I truly expected much better service from a professional moving company. From the beginning, communication felt unorganized, but I tried to stay patient. Unfortunately, things only got worse on moving day! When my furniture arrived at the new location, I was shocked by the amount of damage. Several pieces that were in perfectly good condition before the move were delivered with deep scratches, dents, and chips. A couple of items had structural damage--one table leg was loose, and a large piece of furniture had a noticeable crack that clearly wasn't there before! It looked like the items hadn't been handled with proper care, and the level of damage was far beyond what I would consider normal wear during a move! What made the situation even more frustrating was the response afterward. When I contacted customer service to report the damage, the communication felt slow and not very helpful. Instead of offering clear guidance or taking responsibility, I was passed around and asked to repeat the same details multiple times. It took a lot of effort just to get someone to acknowledge the issue, and even then, the support did not feel reassuring or solution-focused! read more

Our moving consultant was Dave Sims and he helped us figure out what exactly his guys were going to be moving and how big a truck we would need. He was helpful and patient, and gave us a quote each time we added more boxes to the list. Moving day was scheduled to be from 9am to 12pm, but Serge and his team of two guys came early and ready with all the supplies and necessary paperwork. The paperwork was done 10 minutes before 9 and the moving started at 9 o'clock sharp. We have heavy, old, wooden furniture, and they wrapped everything up neatly and tightly and even managed to disassemble the heavy beds. The entire moving process took about an hour from house to truck with all the disassembling. The move-in at the apartment (about 15 minutes away) took another hour with all the reassembling. They asked where the furniture was to be placed and then reassembled it all in the exact spot. Nothing was broken (not that there was anything fragile in the boxes), and we were finished in exactly two hours with one hour to kill. These guys were great, quick, professional, and worth the money. I would definitely recommend them to anybody who is planning on moving, and I will be using them again in the future. read more

In October of 2016 I needed to move 8 rooms of furniture from my old house to my new house. My new house had a sharp 90 degree turn at the top of the staircase making it impossible to carry my china/breakfront upstairs. Of all of the movers I contacted only TB was willing to hoist my china cabinet/breakfront over the railing of my second story porch to get it into my house. As a result, I gave TB a favorable review. I recently purchased a 200 pound server. Due to the sharp, narrow turn at the top of the staircase the delivery men were unable to bring it into my house. I realized that the only way to get my server into the house was to hoist it over baloney railing and through the baloney door. From my experience in 2016 I knew that there was one company which could hoist the server up over the baloney without damaging my furniture. I called TB Moving and they sent 4 of the strongest young men I have ever met in my life, Alex, Tim, Piter and Vladimir who did not even require a ladder to hoist my server over the porch railing. In short, I have had two great experiences with TB Moving and I could not imagine why anybody would want to retain any other moving company to hoist heavy furniture. read more

I decided to book TB Moving for my recent move from Brooklyn to Philadelphia & am very pleased with the service. We received an accurate quote for the unlimited time period. The crew called 20 minutes before arriving and came right on time the morning of. There were 4 men who proceeded to wrap, pack & load quickly & carefully- I could tell from the start that I trusted them with all items. They looked professional & were very respectful. When we arrived in Philadelphia there was a small hiccup getting the keys to our new place & the crew was very understanding. Another hiccup we discovered upon arrival was that somehow the men had left behind our Dyson Animal vacuum in the apartment lobby after being asked multiple times if they had the vacuum (limited English speaking). The vacuum was subsequently taken from the lobby. We called the company immediately the next morning & Alex was more than willing to work with us to correct the mishap. In the end, a neighbor admitted to taking it, thinking it was for grabs & TB agreed to pickup the vacuum & ship it via UPS to our new address. All in all, the customer service was on point & we are happy with the end result. read more

I used TB Moving for a move from Westchester to Manhattan. They gave me the lowest estimate and it was a flat rate which was what I was hoping for. The bottom line here is that they were awesome. Honestly. Hard to say that about a moving company, but that description is spot on. Let's fact it, a moving company is simply providing a service. That service and the people are what separate each company from the other. I moved from/into a one bedroom and the two gentlemen who were assigned to my move were great! They honestly went the extra mile and did the little things that compelled me to write this review. They brought the wardrobes, loaded my clothes and shoes. I left a couple of boxes for last minute packing. They actually packed some last minute items themselves. It may seem like a small or insignificant issue, but to me, it is the small tasks that separate ANY service provider. The move was quick and uneventful. I honestly could not ask for more!! I would highly recommend TB Moving, and would/will use them again should the need arise. I cannot imagine how my move could have gone any smoother, and the price was not to be beat!! First we would like to say that your coordinator Sarah was absolutely terrific in helping us set up and coordinate a two part move that was scheduled on Thursday, began on Sunday and concluded on Monday of last week. Her communication skills were exemplary, she was a pleasure to talk to and left nothing to assume. On move day, the team arrived nice and early. The leader Joe went over the details of the move with us, got his crew in and began to work...friendly, respectfully, efficiently and with care, packing and preparing everything as if they were doing the job for friends of theirs. When the first local delivery was made, they patiently allowed us time to decide where things needed to go, in addition to some re-positioning that made the furniture etc. fit properly in the new space. The second delivery the next day went equally as well. Joe gave us the requested half hour alert before their arrival to prepare. The team removed a few items we requested from the house and then moved the new pieces in flawlessly and professionally. I highly recommend TB Movers. I had such a great experience working with them. They made the move painless. A lot of details about my move were up in the air until the very last minute so I wasn't able to book a mover until 3 days before my move. After calling at least 20 movers and hearing the same message that they were fully booked, I heard back from Peter. He had such a great attitude about the whole situation and managed to rearrange some routes to ensure I could move on time. A day before the move I received an email confirming my move. And a half hour before the move I received a text message from my movers that they were on their way. My movers were Nick and Erdem. They were fantastic. I can't say enough good things about them. I wish I had paid to have them pack all of my stuff. They were so careful about unassembling/packaging/reassembling everything just right so that nothing would be damaged. They even managed to get a large armoire down the stairs of my 3rd floor walk up with an exceptionally tight turn. I'm still not sure how they did it...and even less sure how there's no damage. It was 100% the best decision we made, hiring TB movers to handle our move. We moved from Brooklyn to Philadelphia; they arrived at 8 and they just finished and it's still only 3 o'clock in the afternoon, and the drive is about 2.5 hours. They dealt with narrow roads in both neighborhoods and parked the truck out of the way so no old or new neighbors would be upset. We were worried about making a good impression on our new neighbors and not annoying them with our truck and furniture, but the team did a great job. Nothing was broken, all furniture was lifted and carefully set down on our wood floors instead of being dragged. They handled all boxes with care and nothing was ever thrown or dropped. They took apart and then reassembled furniture. They were efficient, fast and very friendly. We probably won't need a mover any time soon again but we will definitely recommend them to everyone we know. There's a reason they have a solid five star review on here, if you're debating whether or not to hire them please do so. You won't regret it. Although all three guys were speaking Russian the entire time, the other two understood basic instructions in English and were very good at getting the job done. I wanted to add to the praise for TB Moving. They moved me just yesterday from Brooklyn to Manhattan. First of all, Diane was wonderful in taking my initial call and getting an estimate for me. I got a few similar estimates but went with TB largely because of her warmth and helpfulness. The day of the move Maks and his team of three others did the heavy lifting. They were scheduled to arrive between 8am and 10am. At ten minutes to 8 Maks called to let me know he was nearby. At ten minutes past 8 they arrived. I was nervous and stressed about moving, but it went even more smoothly than I could have hoped for. All of my stuff was treated well and arrived safely at the destination. The guys were courteous, respectful, and efficient. They had an extra challenge in that I have a piano. That was no problem for them. They also worked hard to get my mattress box spring through a tight, seemingly impossible doorway. I am grateful for that so I didn't have to buy a new one. I seriously come away from this experience with the feeling that moving is not nearly as tough as I thought it to be! Thanks TB! read more

I have called TB Moving to get an estimate to move my family to California. My first contact was with Mary she was very professional she took a list of all my stuff to be moved i went into detail with her after going through all my stuff on the phone she told me it would be a good idea to send someone to my home so i can get a binding estimate. With all said and done when the sales man came to my home i booked my move right then and there. His price was a little higher than over the phone but did include some packing for some of my glass items. On the day of the move the moving crew showed up on time and ready to work. When the truck was all loaded i gave them 50% (not a penny more) my price was exactly the same no games no changing of price. On the day of the delivery which i got in about 10 days it was a different crew, they were just as professional as the crew that loaded my stuff. No damage still the same price no price hike just good old professional service i will definitely recommend TB moving to anyone looking for a moving company, KEEP UP THE WORK YOU GUYS ARE AWESOME !!!!!!! read more
