After only a year this time I am going back to Dish and Century link. Every time I call because my picture and sound are distorted or it just freezes someone has to come out and repair old pieces of line and I have to miss more work, they should have just replaced it all and got it over with. The new billing has been a problem, I never received notice of my bill being due until it was past due and owed for 2 months late, this happened twice. Service has gone down since acquired by TDS. Speed slows down intermittently and lately the service has gone out completely for a couple of hours, typically in the morning when the east coast comes online, between 4-8am Pacific time. Service is polite, but not that effective. If the service comes back online, they consider the problem solved- even though it intermittently has gone off. Sorry, I'm looking for a change. read more

Customer service continues to decline with this company. On hold for a minor issue for more than an hour when finally gave up and went to location. They acknowledged that their customer service is horrible, and that the hold times are out of control. Also mentioned that they are provided no management or supervisors to assist, all management is outside of Bend. Very sad to see a company like this continue the downward spiral opening the way to competition coming into town. read more

I called BendBroadband several times at the end of my lease to discuss final billing and to pay off the balance. On each occasion they said I had none of their equipment and would just pay for the days of service up to the cut off date. Surprise! My final bill included a $105 charge for the modem which is now used and probably worth about $25. Isn't that odd how suddenly it appears on my records after I've left the area and taken the device with me? And now they tell me three times on the phone, "You're responsible for that until we get it back." And the service was spotty at best...all year. read more

Wow, the worst customer service ever. I admit it was partially my fault but they refuse to accept any responsibility and admit they were partially at fault. About 2 weeks ago my internet connection stops working. At first I thought it was one of their many technical issues or something wrong with my router. After a few days of troubleshooting nothing. Then I realize that I haven't gotten any bills from them in about 3 months. So, I get a hold of their customer service and yes, it was because I didn't pay and they disconnected me. I check my email boxes; in, trash, 2nd trash and spam....nothing from them and I did not receive anything by mail. Basically I'm told that I am at fault since I should pay about the same time each month. I then called them on the phone. This guy keeps interrupting me in mid-sentence and tells me that I am wrong, that they phone and send bills via postal service before disconnecting. Then I mention that they have other reviews that state that they didn't get an ebill. He tells me people usually only leave reviews if they experience bad reviews....so why do they have 1.7 stars and some other businesses get 4or better? And if others are complaining that they didn"t get a notice maybe they should consider this as a serious problem. The dog is off leash and needs a bath. The tv and internet service is fine when it works, but it is not consistent. The real issue is with billing and customer service. The hold times are ridiculously long and the calls are rarely routed to local employees. The hold music makes me want to vomit.. seriously, try to remain patient while listening to fuzzy Kenny G play the same riff for half an hour. For a business representing themselves as a technology/phone provider to not have a robust enough system to offer chat or streamlined phone help is not satisfactory. I am not happy. Signed up for 600 mbps service. Still doesn't mean we can have more than one device working at a time if and when the internet is actually working. Home phone hasn't worked for a week. Spoke with call center in the Carribean yesterday...service appt today between 8 and noon. Said they would be early..still waiting. Called for a better time estimate, told me to just wait and see. Only call back if they don't come by noon. Verify home phone, address, name, account #...don't they have this information. Do yourself a huge favor and do not waste your money. After about 5 years with no cable I made a very bad decision to subscribe again, mostly because i missed watching the news. Now I remember why I cancelled cable 5 years ago. I signed up for the "essentials" package and could not be more disappointed. THERE IS LITERALLY NOTHING TO WATCH! What a bunch of rubbish and nonsense channels. Infomercials and just junk tv. A complete waste of money. On the rare occasion that you can find some old rerun to watch, there are more commercials that there is tv show. As I sit here watching A movie, there was a commercial break that had 21 commercials. Movie cone back on for 12 minutes and another 21 commercials. Ridiculous!! I'll be cancelling this rubbish as soon as the office opens in the morning. Save your money. read more

Bend Broadband has the worst wait time to talk to technical support. In addition we have had a saturated node for so many months and we pay for Platinum level Internet access. If you pay for a service that is unusable in late afternoon or weekends, then you should get a refund. Tech support admitted to saturated node and have no access to timing to address though they offer to lower the paid service level and payment for pain. Tech support is really great but Bend Broadband has terrible visibility into addressing saturated node that prevents reliable access to Internet service resulting in a terrible customer experience. read more

Sitting here waiting to talk with someone in TV support so thought I would write a review ... Took a full two minutes working thru their menu before I got to the point where I was offered a call back "when a representative is available. Decided to wait it out. 3 complaints would like addressed: 1. NBC programming not in sync with Guide. 2. While watching DVR recording cannot go back or advance, just returns starting point. 3. While watching some recording it simply drops off. Get a screen with "Elevate" listed then is apparently reboots. Then have to find where I was when it dropped. None of these are that important, but they are annoying and I am very tired of "resetting" the equipment. Been 13 minutes wait time so far ... Rep on at 14 min Another 7 minutes, back and forth explaining and waiting for him "to putt everything up.." Rep had me get the remote, and hit "back, stop and Live TV" in that order to reset the turner. Said that should fix it. We'll see ... read more

I am a 60 year old disabled vet who woke the other day to having no phone, cable or internet service. Come to find out when you dispute a bill with BB and they tell you they will review it and get back with you? This is their way of getting back to you. After a full day when my wife returned from work we contacted them and they were trying to reboot my system which was a painstaking undertaking. Long story short in the process of rebooting my system my tv blew. I called to complain about it the next day and talked to Andrea one of the most condecending and sarcastic managers I have ever dealt with. They had me reboot my system multiple times and tried to reboot from their end several more she claims that after reviewing the recordings it was once. She is sadly mistaken or lying. Either way I am out a tv and bend broadband's mgr Andrea is enjoying that fact. Good luck if you use them remember its at your own risk. For me I think my next step will be to tie up our small claims court system. FOLLOW UP...... I am laughing in my tears here. Horrible customer service, and expect a full outage every couple months. I canceled my home service and switched to centrylink, it's not the best but much more reliable. My place of employment uses Bendbroadband for internet and phone service. The phone service goes down regularly. It was down for two days at one point and we had customers driving down to our office furious that they couldn't reach us. read more

Bend bnb came to my home to make repairs, the next morning my newish computer was fried, I took it to be diagnosed and it was found to be related to an "event", very unusual and related to a device that BB Installed, they did nothing and referred to collection agency. I called today and took them up on their offer of calling back when the next available representative was available which they estimated at FORTYFIVE MINUTES! That's right the next available rep wouldn't be there for 3/4 of an hour. Well 45 minutes later they call back and put me back in the queue. 15 minutes later I'm still waiting. It's Thanksgiving night and we have been without internet and video since early this AM. After many calls to customer service, we find out that nobody even rolled on the outage until 1PM. Commercial power outage in our section of Black Butte and no coordination with CECC to get this back online. Funny how the power is on at all homes. After working in the cable industry for too many years and running service crews, a portable generator (standard cable company equipment) should have been brought in and service restored to the 150 homes impacted. Bend Broadband repair crews don't care enough to get our service restored in a timely manner but instead are enjoying their internet and cable tonight in their homes. Our house was looking forward to watching a few games and doing some Black Friday shopping not to mention all the Thanksgiving recipes are online. I am writing this review on my cell phone, a much more reliable service. I will be calling the LFA and registering a complaint. Horrible customer service from your tech staff. I feel sorry for your phone reps having to take the calls for your lazy techs. You failed today. Update. Service was restored after 28 hours. read more

Very expensive considering we still have to watch all the commercials. The large sum we pay is only for them to transmit the signals to our home. Considering that the free public broadcast stations do that and live off the revenues the advertising brings in should show all of us we are being robbed. The customer service at BBB is terrible. Never expect to talk to a human being without a very long wait. Their chat service on the web page is broken as it only brings up a blank mask you are supposed to fill out. I tried this on two separate browsers and the defective chat popup was on both of them which means its their code not my browser. They also have no email address available except for some tech support. I email this address and asked them to forward my need to customer service but received no response at all. If i wasn't planning on moving within the next months I would cancel the service. read more

So frustrating. My account is supposed to be on auto pay. Internet is disconnected today. I went through my mail to find a past due notice. No indication of when the service will be disconnected. "Our records indicate that your account is past due. Please make a payment or call us today to avoid a late fee or possible interruption of service". What about a little old fashioned customer service? Have your billing department call the clients that may have been under the impression that they were on auto pay. Bend Broadband is the worst ISP I have ever used. I would switch in a heart beat if there was another option. The Internet is always going down and there is no 24 hour help line so you can never call anyone about it. The usage caps are crazy low, 100GB! The advertised speeds are none existent, the channel selection is poor, and they don't seem to care at all because they are the only game in town. It seems like the only good thing about Bend Broadband is their profits, because even with all the terrible service, they are making money hand over fist... DONT USE BEND BROADBAND!!! read more

So Let me get this straight BendBroadband. You're giving unlimited data to customers who bundle with TV, but not offer it to customers who only want Internet? So you're screwing over the customers who actually need the bandwidth for streaming? On top of that, there is no option to buy the modem needed for the 300Mb service, only lease it @ $10 a month. Things like this is why you're a 2 star company, your customers never come first. Your business strategy is to line your pockets every chance you can get, and the customers will adhere because there is no real competition in the area. So, I've lived in Central Oregon for nearly 20 years. I have had BB for that entire time. I've put up with the frankly marginal service because there wasn't much choice and there still isn't. It's almost a matter of taking the least disappointing service at this point. Since their buyout by TDS, they've only become worse. I'm writing this review while going on 60 minutes on the phone, of which 50 has been me on hold. The first person I spoke to wanted to try and argue about how they've improved services in the area, and that their recent UNANNOUNCED rate hike was therefore justified. First, charging more without notifying first is just shady. Second, the improvements made have been marginal at best, and they've certainly not been proactive about telling their customers. They were more than happy to leave me in the dark about having only 150 GB of data and attempting to charge me $10 for every 50 GB of overage, when I could have had 500 GB for no price difference. If I hadn't called, they never would have made the change, which was purely a switch flip on their side. Then this representative had the gaul to ask me if I've been on their website, and that I should check it daily for news. I checked the Press Release section back to July last year, and the blog section back to September last year, and oddly enough I can't find any news about this rate hike. So much for transparency and good information on the website. I'll be actively hunting for an internet provider less mediocre and switching soon, I'm so fed up with this company. Here's hoping that others read this and switch or avoid completely, so we can get some more competition in this town and push out this "local" dog that hails from Wisconsin or Illinois (yes, there are two out of state addresses on their billing statements). This is going to take a while. Called for service first week of November 2030 and waited 3 weeks when service rep came to my home and informed me the cable needed to be installed underground. That happened to be a contract team which I was assured would be out in December. Waited for the underground team for 3 weeks and mo one showed up. Called Broadband back and was told service was canceled for inactivity. Called Broadband back and they gave a date of January 16th. Same initial tech responded and said no underground service, no Bend Broadband and he left again assuring me that a supervisor would call me on Tuesday. Tuesday came and no call so I called and asked to speak to a supervisor after speaking to someone with a Indian dialect. Spoke to supervisor Spencer who said he would send an email to the "ground guys" to find out what was going on. Spencer also provided me with the " ground guys" supervisor's phone # and told me that I could give them a call to find out what was transporting with my service request. I explained to Spencer that I did not work for Bend Broadband and I didn't feel I should be the person to call anyone to find out about my circumstance. After several hours of no phone calls from Bend Broadband I attempted to reach out to the "ground guys" supervisor using the # provided to me by Spencer and ultimately spoke to an owner of a four wheeled drive shop. I'm exasperated with this company! read more

My husband and I just moved from California first into a rental in Bend and then we moved into a house that we bought in Redmond last week. The Technician did an excellent job on the transfer and installation of our 3 services with BBB and was very conscientious to make sure our service was up and running well. We are very happy with BBB service so far. read more

3/14 update- Guys in the field services department seem great to work with so far, I think the disconnect had to do with the receptionists not connecting me sooner. Hopefully we can finish on a positive note. 3/11 update- Got some communication this week which was a welcomed improvement. Just waiting on work to be completed... 3/8 I've been trying get in contact with the field services department for over a month about connecting service for a new home. I think I'm on phone call number 7 right now, receptionists wouldn't put me through to anyone who can communicate and answer technical questions. I'll be happy to take this review down and write a positive review, just waiting for a call back from someone in the Field Services department. read more
