It was very busy but we beat the rush. Loud but from all the blending and shaking of the drinks. They had games on the tables where you can play and hangout with friends. A friend and I stumbled into this place while seemingly walking in circles in Chinatown. Service was quick and friendly. I ordered a green apple green tea (with lychee jellies) and my friend ordered a coconut milk drink with boba. Each cost around 4 bucks, which might seem like a lot, but it's comparable to getting a drink at Starbucks. My green apple green tea was delicious and the lychee jellies were good too, although they were small and I would end up having to check like 10 of them at a time (a slight exaggeration, but you get the point). My friend enjoyed her coconut milk boba. The location itself is clean -- there's a nice amount of tables, The Hunger Games was playing on tv (not that you could hear it), groups of college kids were playing Jenga (I think), and loud music was playing in the background. Definitely not somewhere I'd like to sit and read a book, but if you're in the area and in the mood for bubble tea, Tea Do will not disappoint. read more

As with any bubble tea place in the area, there are always teenagers hanging out in there and it can get pretty crowded sometimes after school. Kudos to the Chinatown Tea Do for trying to put seating wherever possible though. I've been here before multiple times but this time I ordered a Peach Blossom hot tea with honey. A big plus for Tea Do recently is its new addition of hot teas which you can even have free refills for if you're planning to stay at the place for a while. Kung Fu Tea (the other major bubble tea competitor in the area) doesn't even come close in the variety of drinks, especially hot ones. The Peach Blossom smelled very strongly of artificial peach which made me hesitant at first but it tastes really good. Very light and a bit flowery which I liked. I also got the takoyaki which I've had before here when it first opened. Let me tell you, it tasted horrible when this Tea Do just opened up... tasted and smelled very artificial. But now it's all good, very good in fact. Make sure you don't stick it in your mouth immediately after you get it though because you are going to be in a lot of pain. read more

Favorite boba place in Boston compared to Cha Time and Kungfu tea (ofc, there are so many different opinions depending on who you talk to. Some value the menu variety more than others... for me, the boba is EXTREMELY important) Their boba actually tastes like how it is suppose to be... soft, flavorful, and chewy. The traditional milk tea hits the spot in terms of the tea and milk ratio. They don't add much sugar in there which is great (otherwise the taste of the beverage would really be compromised). Tea Do has Uno and Jenga laying around for you and your friend(s) to play. There isn't much seating, but there is enough to fit everyone in there. There are snacks that you can order on the side, but I'd suggest to just get a drink. read more

Oh my goodness! This place is amazing! They have the matcha green tea bubble tea that I absolutely love with green tea jellies. They can actually seal the drink too so you can take one to go without worrying about it spilling all over the train. Reading the other reviews, sounds like people just had a bad experience and/or just bitter. I came with friends, drinks are cheap but better than expected. The atmosphere is definitely for the younger generation and it is really relaxing. They have games for customers to play with including cards, jenga, etc. The staff is really friendly and it is a typical bubble tea place. People who rated this place poorly clearly don't drink bubble tea that often in Boston. Compared to the places around the area, I think this place is one of the best overall. I think they are still working out the kinks in their drinks (4/5 of our drinks were good). Also, the fact that it is open till midnight (most Chinatown things close at 10/11PM) makes this place AMAZING. Something no one mentioned here was the snacks (Onigiri, takoyaki, etc). The onigiri is fairly cheap and a light snack, but it tastes amazing. Even after a week, I still crave more of their onigiris. I would recommend you to try them, and recommend the owner to improve their takoyaki (the takoyaki is OK as of now). For a new, decent place, I give it a 4/5 with room for improvements! read more

I love Teado so much out of all the boba places in Chinatown. The workers here are so friendly and its comfortable sticking around people you do not know. I like how they provide games for people to play in groups. Jenga is the BEST group game at this place! THE BEST Tea House in Boston + NYC. Their boba is the biggest and chewiest, and always perfectly cooked. TIP: They use small mini boba when they first open at 11am then switch over once the big ones are done cooking... so to be safe, I always come in the afternoon or evening. They have the widest flavor selection over Chatime + Kung Fu - if 5 people are ahead of you in line at Chatime or Kung Fu, you'll be waiting for 15 minutes for your drink. They are consistently slow. Tea Do? 10 people in front of you and you'll have it in 3 min or less. Their staff is always fast and efficient and really nice! They're also cheaper by $0.50-1.00 than competitors. Can get crowded, but it's a cool vibe with lights, loud usually pop/techno music, and Uno + Jenga to play with friends. I come here at least twice a week since they've opened like 3 years ago. I don't remember what I got two of the times, but the third time i got the taro smoothie. I love taro smoothies, and this place had a great taro smoothie. It was like other taro smoothies, but that is exactly what I wanted - nothing too powder-tasting or too sweet. It was perfect. Not too expensive, either. The place has a friendly atmosphere. You can play Jenga and Uno there - they have the games. I dunno, though, cuz they should probably dip all those games in a vat of disinfectant after each day... I don't trust it. Just bring your own games to play there - like Risk. No, don't bring Risk - you'll be there all day. And, honestly, it's not really that fun anyway. And there's no room for it at Tea Do, so just drop it! Geez... just play Risk at home if you love it that much. I frequent this coffee shop 2-4 times a week during my lunch break. It's upstairs so it can be hard to miss.. but you'll see the sign quite clearly from the outside. I had a craving for a mango smoothie so I got a small one with bubbles and enjoyed the crap out of it. While it was being made there were a bunch of loud and annoying teenagers or some such desperately trying to fool themselves about how interesting their jenga game was. What's nice about this place is that you can play games: UNO, Jenga, connect four, etc. They usually have a line and are very busy on the weekends. My fav is their black tea with boba since I like my boba strongly tea flavored. Did not like the taro quite as much since it was too sweet even with 30% sugar. Not the perfect place for bubble tea. I tried their black sesame milk tea and it was too sweet although I ordered it with less sugar. The texture wasn't an enjoyable sesame drink - it was just too gritty and watery. The boba pearls weren't a good either. Their texture was off and not perfectly chewy as boba pearls should be. Not to mention that the pearls weren't even properly sweetened. Thai ice tea is one of their top 10 drinks but it's okay. I've had better Thai ice tea in restaurants that don't even specialize in bubble tea. I won't be coming back for their drinks. 1 star is purely for the look and smell of their food options that other customers ordered. I might try their food if I ever come back. read more

It is a little chaotic and difficult to hear your number, but it all seems to work out in the end. This is the second time we have been here and again were not super impressed. I honestly thought this place was a tiny shop... as in no seating. But when I walked in, I was glad to see a couple of high top tables with chairs as well as a small area to play games. Neat. It can be fairly loud. My friends and I came in at an off time but people soon trickled in. Loudness x 5. But once those folks were given their teas and left - the entire shop got super quiet. As for tea - I got the Passion Fruit Green Tea w/ Boba. Tea was solid and so was the Boba. This place reminds me of Kung Fu Tea... but in Atlanta. Not sure how it is in Boston. All I can speak for is the Thai Milk bubble tea because that's all I ever order, but that drink is 5+ stars. This place looks pretty modern compared to some of the other places in Chinatown. It is relatively small so it does tend to get packed. They have a lot of different choices on their menu so it can be quite overwhelming. There is a top 10 menu right by the register to help you decide if you are indecisive like me. I ordered the strawberry milk with boba, and it was BOMB!! It wasn't too sweet, but it also satisfied my sweet tooth craving. Also, unlike Kung Fu Tea, the drink tasted distinctly milky. Maybe they use whole milk for their milk teas?? The bubbles were the best I've ever tasted. They were chewy and not rock-hard, but they also weren't too soft. The sweet rice-cakey flavor of the bubbles also came out well since the tea itself wasn't overly sugary. They did serve my tea with ice, but unlike most places they didn't fill half of my cup with ice. Overall, it was delicious. My friends kept stealing sips of my drink! Definitely recommend. read more
