Order: 1 (24 oz) Coconut Pudding with Boba 1 (24 oz) Mango Coconut Pudding 1 order of Thai Nuggets Total: $25 The drinks were AMAZING--very authentic and not overly sweet at all. I enjoyed every sip of my coconut pudding with boba, and my husband loved his mango coconut pudding. You can really tell this place doesn't use artificial sweeteners, which is such a refreshing change compared to other spots that overload their drinks with sugar. I was highly disappointed with the Thai Nuggets. The picture shown in the outside advertising didn't match what we received. The nuggets came in a small cup, while the photo showed a different box and portion size. This mismatch is the reason for my 4-star rating. Personally, I hope this place sticks to drinks--I wasn't a fan of the Thai nuggets. The service was great. The two young ladies at the counter were very sweet and efficient. Even though the place was extremely packed, they were getting orders out in a timely manner. I ordered via kiosk, but you can also order directly at the counter. The ambiance is definitely there--very aesthetically pleasing and cute. I really enjoyed the atmosphere. No available tables when I visited around 7pm and a lot of students working on their laptops. I will absolutely be back to try more drinks. Loved the drinks--10/10. Highly recommend this place; it's easily in my top 5.

Tea Hut opened a month ago where Mad Seoul used to be. Interior Totally renovated. Minimal decor. Xmas tree still up. Inside seating alongside the perimeter, not in the center. Acknowledged courteously soon after I entered. Ordered. Efficient service. Got drink within 5 minutes. Offerings: cheese tea, seasonal specials, caffeine free drinks, milk tea, fruit tea, signature blends, matcha, coffee, coconut family... Sips: Watermelon tea (6.95) less sugar -seasons tea chosen, too faint to taste beyond it's smoothness. Fruitiness, floral qualities missing. -luckily not much ice. Thin Watermelon slices felt, not much sweetness. Didn't taste like watermelon juice added. Everything tasted natural. Metered parking nearby. Further out, free parking on side street. 4.5 stars worthy! Quantity: good. Fresh fruit, not juice. Qualtity: reasonable. Repeatable. Maybe coconut or signature tea next. Fruit tea ok. Needs stronger tea taste.

Great drinks and pastries selection. Matcha is good. Pastries are half off after 6pm. There are a few seats with tables available and free WiFi and restrooms, it's a great sunny place to study/do work at if you can find a seat. But it's pretty busy on a weekday and incredibly understaffed - there was only 1 barista making everybody's drink.

There is only one worker that is taking the orders and making the drinks. She is super friendly and tries to be fast. It's very cozy! My favorite is the creme brûlée milk tea!

A friend brought us some delicious drinks back from Tea Hut. It was my first time having anything from this business. I had a Jasmine Milk Tea, 16 oz. light ice with coconut milk. It was delicious! The JasmineTea has a floral taste and the drink was lightly sweetened but not overpowering. Next time I'll try one with boba. This was a nice afternoon pick me up! My drink cost $5.50. Their cups are cute and sturdy too!

Place was clean and cutely decorated. Servers were nice and ok speed. I got the mango dreamer and it had good mango and tea flavor. They used fresh mango too :D Ok price too and it was 20% off at the time

Was walking and decided to try this Matcha drink at this new location. The service was great and the guy behind the counter was very friendly. The place is clean well let indoor seating dip choices between hot and cold tease like Jasmine or ginger but I decided to try the cocoa Matcha with Boba and it was delicious. We'll definitely be back.

Oh hey didn't realize Tea Hut expanded over here. Finally another option here other than Cha Thai Tea (which I love by the way). Tried their osmanthus rice milk tea with no sugar. It was interesting... probably because of the different texture from the boba and fermented rice. Will come back and try their other drinks.

New boba in the downtown Berkeley neighborhood. This review is based on this being their second day of their soft opening. Service was shy but sweet. Staff clearly still in training. Ordered four beverages. Some ingredients not available yet. But, all very tasty and nicely balanced. Ambiance was very clean, and nicely decorated. Spacious bench and table seating for socializing, and studying. Tea Hut needs to iron out some wrinkles. However, we will be back to give it another try in a couple weeks

New Boba shop in North Berkeley and I'm really impressed. I've heard they use very fresh ingredients, and it's true everything tastes clean and high quality. My kids had the boba tea and loved it. I tried the hot ginger milk drink with boba, and I've honestly never seen it anywhere else. It was delicious! My husband had the coconut mango drink, which is a vegan option, and he really enjoyed it. Our younger one tried a fresh fruit drink, and it tasted super refreshing and natural nothing artificial. The shop is nicely decorated, very clean, and feels welcoming. It's a great place for friends and family to hang out, and it's super close to the my kids schools, so it's easy to grab a drink after pickup. The staff is friendly, parking is easy, Very recommended

A new boba tea place in Berkeley with a variety of selection of drinks including hot milk tea drinks as well. The ambiance is warm and bright with free WiFi and great seating area. The customer service is excellent. My new favorite boba tea place.

Congratulations on your Soft Opening. This place looks amazing. The service is excellent and the Hot Ginger Tea is out of this world. We will definitely be visiting for more favorable drinks.

I've tried the Uji matcha latte ($6.95) and genmaicha latte ($6.75). The Uji matcha latte was grassy, but still smooth and strong. I think I would've liked just a little more depth and richness, but it's still a drink I'd happily order again. I also tried the genmaicha latte, which was less sweet than the Uji matcha. I really liked how the toasted, nutty flavor of the genmaicha balanced the sweetness, though I thought it slightly overpowered the matcha. You can really taste the quality and care that goes into their drinks. I definitely want to try their black sesame matcha next! The cafe has a calm, minimalist aesthetic with limited seating, including a high table where you can watch the drinks being made. They use oat milk by default, although there isn't currently an option to substitute whole milk. There's a small parking lot, with additional street parking available in the surrounding residential area. Overall, I've really enjoyed my visits here and think Forest Tea Bar is a great addition to Berkeley's matcha scene. Definitely worth checking out if you like more tea-forward drinks!

Artis opened on December 7, 2013 and is located on the northern end of the Fourth Street Shops (a.k.a. Fourth Street Berkeley). This is a fairly spacious cafe with an industrial/warehouse, minimalist look. During my afternoon visit, it was busy inside and out on the covered patio. Lots of people on their laptops. Artis roasts their own coffee. Service was fine. I got a side eye from the cashier/barista when I asked where the water station was (it was my first time and I was unfamiliar with this place), but they were nice and polite otherwise. The water pressure at the self-serve faucet was too strong and sprayed water everywhere. Good for a coffee fix if you're in the area.

That, however, shouldn't detract from the personalized experience you'd likely receive with how small the coffee bar is. If you're expecting something more permanent this coffee shop is more like a temporary coffee cart that has roots in the back corner of this gift shop On the whole this place despite the hidden location has folks very much eager to bring specialty coffee to anybody interested. They have a large selection of relatively high end coffee in the likes of Geisha from Panama and Ethiopian coffees. Additionally, they're the only place I've ever seen across the US that is showcasing any coffee grown in China which is nice to see as that allows more exploration into how the terroir affects the taste of coffee For my first time here I came with a small group of coffee enthusiasts so we tried a selection of their Alo Main Station (notes of Sweet Orange, Bergamont, and Peach Oolong Tea), Finca Santa Maria (notes of Cherry, Mango, and Berry Jam), and Lerida Loma Washed (notes of White Floral, Mandarin Orange, and Longan) Each cup was uniquely different from each other but arguably the most enjoyed was their cheapest option in the Alo Main Station at $9. Each cup seemed completely different and may seem pretentious to say but they did have sweeter notes that you'd be very unlikely to taste from your well known coffee chains. This place definitely caters to the coffee enthusiasts in a way where even my group wasn't quite near the level of but it had a great atmosphere, nice outdoor seating, and staff who were very passionate about their craft If anything, I would probably come back as they do elevate coffee for those who are unaware of coffee coming from China but that coffee doesn't need to taste bitter, burnt, or chocolatey. The cups here were more like tasting a mellowed fruit juice but it just happens to be coffee. That said, unless you are eager to try specialty coffee this place may seem overpriced as their pour overs are between $9 - $25 which heavily differs from most other coffee shops. Having Masterpiece provide a glimpse of the specialty coffee scene within the Bay Area is still a welcome blessing as it has a similar vibe to specialty coffee shops you'd experience in Asia
