I've had bad experiences with the taste of the drinks for all of few times I've been here, so I usually avoid this place. However, I was in a rush today and this was the closest boba place. I ordered a Thai tea with 80% sweetness and it was undrinkable because of how sweet and flavorless it was. I did not expect this because a few months ago I ordered a milk tea with 50% sweet and it tasted extremely bitter and fully unsweetened. The Thai tea has no Thai or tea flavor and it tastes like a gallon of artificial flavor syrup was poured into a cup with orange food coloring. It was also $7 including boba which is extremely expensive compared to the boba places nearby. I can't speak for the service or the location since I have never been there but I will check it out when I get a chance. This new ShareTea is also located very close to UC Berkeley campus, on the south side. I ordered a mango green milk tea for pickup on a Tuesday afternoon, which didn't take long to be ready. I ordered through Snackpass. I've been to a handful of Shareteas in California, and I've never seen Thai green tea on the menu before, which is what I ordered today. I'm a fan! I'd describe it as a regular Thai tea but with heavy jasmine. However, I ordered less ice and 50% sweet, and it was pretty sweet for me. I usually get 50% at other places, but I think I'll get 25% from now on. Sharetea's price points are relatively low for boba in the Berkeley area. I paid $4.40 for a 24oz. This Sharetea is in Berkeley and among one of the many boba spots in the area. I have been to many of their other Bay Area locations as well. They are close by to UC Berkeley as well. Usually there are a lot of people double parked in front and even more people double parked around the corner, so parking may be hit or miss. Service is eh here, the employees are the most friendly at this location. I do like that they have seating and closes at 11 PM for when I want to get some late night studying done, but they do not have a public bathroom, which is a bit inconvenient. I always love a good classic green milk tea from Sharetea. From this particular location, I had tried their green milk tea with boba and their Taro Pearl Milk Tea. The teas tasted very watered down, and although the lychee jelly was good (it's pretty hard to mess that up), the boba was way overcooked and mushy. We all universally agreed that we could barely taste the tea in our drinks. I had to be talked down to give it a 3-star, it was an easy 2 star experience. It was Cal Day which was why it was real busy. Process needs improvement. They are in need of a ticketing / announcement system. They have screens for menu, maybe they can get a screen to show "now serving" this number type of sign above the pick up area. Because the overly loud music, no one knows if their order is being called out, so patrons are stacked up against an already small space..."is that my order?", "where's my drink?". There are so many other places for Boba drinks. I ordered my go-to, which is the QQ happy family milk tea subbing oolong milk tea. I typically remove the egg pudding and lychee jelly as well, since the drink comes with 6(?) toppings I believe. Upon arriving, they had actually messed up my order but when I told them they quickly apologized and remade my drink for me which I really appreciated.
