I've had eye problems since I was eight. I'm now well into my 30's. I've seen many many many optometry places and doctors. Ranging from LA, La Canada, Glendale, Burbank, and Pasadena. In short I have really bad eyes. I've spent over an hour and a half looking for the right frames. They were more than happy to pull all the frames down and have me try them on. I felt bad being so picky but I was told " These are your glasses. You need to feel good in them." That to me says great customer service. My mother tried a new doctor with Kaiser (she had just switched insurance companies at her work) and had eye surgery. Months later she said something was poking her eyelid. She called, and Kaiser said they couldn't see her until a few weeks. She picked up the phone and called Dr. Teagle. He said come in right now. They found a stitch in her eye wasn't completely taken out. He sent her to a specialist that day. She didn't pay for anything. This is the only place my family and sibling's families would go to and have for the last 8 years. If they ever move, I'll be sure to follow. If you walk in with a great attitude, you come out with an even better one. They are honest, helpful, and above all here to help you. read more

I've been coming to Teagle on and off for several years. Make sure to CALL to make an appointment. I've tried online but my requests just get lost in some sort of abyss. Also, make sure to let them know at the beginning of your appt if you want a copy of your contacts and glasses prescription and they'll have that ready for you. I've been a patient here for years. They are always great! I've never felt pressured to buy higher priced items (frames) than I wanted, like at other places. They work with my insurance and my budget to ensure that I'm happy with my purchases. They can be very busy (especially on the weekends) but I have never felt rushed or "lost in the crowd". read more

I went to Teagle's Optometry this past Friday, 12/8/17. The only slight annoyance was they hadn't verified my insurance in advance (minor annoyance I know) but otherwise they were great! The doctor was so nice and thorough. And the insurance guy at the front desk, I believe John, is so knowledgeable and is taking care of everything. I've been going to Teagle Optometry since the late 90s. Until recent years I believe their service has declined in quality. The optometrists are great but they definitely need some work with the rest of the office staff especially when it comes to insurance benefits. One office staff member will tell me one thing and then when I come back another office staff member tells me the complete opposite. There is no consistency. I basically had to beg and plead with them in order to get new frames for my glasses that was I was told I would be eligible for previously. The woman who helped me the last time I was there was very rude. She probably displayed the worst customer service I've ever experienced. I ended up leaving the store feeling bad and angry, and I've never had such a bad experience there as I did when that one woman helped me. Overall the rest of the staff have been great, but one person can ruin the vibe for the whole store. I'm still debating if I should continue my services here. read more

It's a shame I can't give this business zero stars. I purchased 2 pairs of eyeglasses in 2016. Recently, the surface of the lenses on my "main" pair began to peel away. I went to Teagle, and the woman behind the counter advised that the "anti-reflective" coating on my glasses was peeling away. She further advised that the lenses are only warranted for one year. I found her response a bit odd, since my lenses DO NOT have any anti-reflective coating on them. She told me I should take it up with VSP (my insurance carrier and the owner of the lens lab). I went online to the VSP website and register a "grievance". I received a 2-part response: 1) take the matter up with the retailer I purchased them from, and 2) VSP would investigate my concerns and provide feedback in 5-7 days. That was almost 4 weeks ago. Today I returned to Teagle and spoke to a different woman. She referred me to VSP...when I explained that VSP referred me back to Teagle, she laughed and shrugged. Too bad, don't let the door hit you in the ass on the way out. Great customer service. I have been wearing eyeglasses for more than 50 years; I have NEVER had this type of problem, or this level of compete indifference with respect to customer service. With the hundreds of different optometry places competing for your business, do yourself a favor and avoid this establishment, and their customer indifference. read more

I walked in at about 8pm tonight, I was the only customer in the entire store. There were two people behind the counter seemingly doing some work. I needed help with a pair of new frames and lenses. I looked around in the store for about 15 minutes, hoping one of these two workers would lift up their head and offer some help. never once did they even look up from what they were doing. I even tried walking by them to get their attention, NOTHING. who does that? Anyway, I left and just bought a pair of $370 frames elsewhere. I cant stand places like this. in this economy how can you afford to be this snobby and downright rude to your customers. I hope the owners or management get a clue. read more

Teagle Optometry is one of the worst optometry shops in Glendale in my option. Avoid this place like the plague. You're better off going to LensCrafters in the same mall. I ordered two pairs of glasses and it was like buying a car. They loaded it with options you don't need. However they only do this once they find out what insurance you have. It's a total scam. I picked-up my glasses and the fit and tint was incorrect. When I expressed my dissatisfaction I was treated very rudely by the staff. They are only nice to you when you first arrive and trying to sell you something. Once that transaction is completed they do not care if your glasses fit properly or look good as long as they have your money in the register that's all that matters. What a great store. Walked in because the screw on my sunglasses had fallen out. Everywhere I took it was charging me 10 bucks just to put in a screw. I walked in and in 5 minutes they were able to put in the screw and didn't charge me a penny. this is how you get customers to come back to you. I will be definitely shopping from there. read more

We wanted to buy a frame here and order the lenses. We asked if they accept our insurance - they said yes. Well, the calculations that they presented to us did not match what our insurance prescribed. Examples: - Their charge for tint: $15. Co-pay per our insurance: $0 -Their charge for anti-reflective coating: $64. Co-pay per our insurance: $45 The person there who was checking our insurance benefits on line initially stated that the frame would be covered by the insurance @ $50. I had to insist to look better (I new that the frame would be covered @ $100). Well, he had to agree. So, all in all not very honest dealing here. read more

I live about 25 miles from Glendale, yet I've been going to Dr. Teagle for about 10+ years now maybe. I'm always satisfied with the friendly and attentive service here. Their examinations are quick, informative and you never have to wait very long to get seen. I just got fitted for some astigmatism oasys contacts here and I have to say that they're the best fitting contacts I've had.. ever. The Doctor even put me on an eye drop regiment to help me with my excessively dry eyes, something that has never been pointed out to me before. I went here 5 years ago, but then my insurance changed. When I selected my new insurance, I made sure they were a preferred provider. They are ALWAYS friendly and very helpful. I just had my eye exam with Dr. April Tan and she was professional, yet friendly and explained all of the results with me. The people at the desk are very friendly and they always check whether you've been helped or not. I am pleased that my insurance now covers them. You can't go wrong. read more

I really like Dr. Amy. She's knowledgeable and a sweetheart. From my experience with several of them, I'm ambivalent about the rest of the office crew. And, from my first visit June 30th, it took 'til July 15th to get in my glasses, and then they weren't right for my eyes. They're re-doing one of the lenses for me now. Not sure how long it's going to take this time ... they weren't very specific about it. My husband went somewhere else first of the year, and they had his glasses the next day. Just seems like a long time. So, yes, they have a great selection of frames, yes, they have good hours available for visits, and are in an easy access location, and yes, I really like Dr. Amy. I have to say I started going to Dr. Teagle years ago after a coworker had a freak incident with her eye. He took her in- no questions asked, didn't even take payment and took care of the situation. He is just an amazing person like that!! Truly embodies the qualities a doctor should have. Now FF a few years and I've went in for my routine exam- and of COURSE had to be seen by one of the coolest, nicest and most professional optometrist at the clinic- Dr. Lee! Not only was she super smart, but she's also very kind, contentious and patient, she took the time and did troubleshooting and worked out all the kinks with the new contacts I was trailing (mind you- I'm a total noob). I've never had a real eye exam before and this place was a referral from a co-worker. I was promptly escorted to the doctors office and began my exam without any wait. Dr. Don Teagle was patient with me even though i have a bad eye phobia. He answered all of my questions. The exam itself wasn't too bad. It only required eye drops that dilate your eyes. The dilation goes away in about 4 hours. I would come back here for all of my eye needs. read more

Greatest visit to the optometrist I have gone to! And I've been going yearly for about 16 years now. I have had the misfortunate to be constantly moving so I have had my fair share of different optometrist office visits. The reason why i liked this office is because 1. The staff on scheduling my appointment were very accommodating and had great patience with answering all my questions. Even though i know it may be repetitive questions, they were not only helpful and thorough but pleasant! I believe it had been Irma :) 2. Once I arrived greeted with smiles. 3.attended super fast! 4. Had the glasses tech help find a frame that would fit my current lenses since my glasses had broke. Taking the time to go out of his way and work with me was a fresh of breath air in an optometrist office! 5. Dr. Teagle is an all around great man who listened to my questions, concerns and stories :) very professional and great at what he does! Quickly was able to help me with my vision and offer insightful tips on contacts and eyes. Something lots of other optometrists dont usually do, who seem to just be trying to get the day over with. This place is awesome. I've been going here for 3 years now. The staff is very solid and hasn't fluctuated that much at all for as long as I've been going there, so they bring a really personal touch to their customer service. No matter who helps you, you will get great service. The doctors are awesome and explain everything to you so that you can understand. I made the mistake of going somewhere else earlier this year because there were no appointments open, and I had to use my benefits before they ran out. Biggest mistake EVER! I got crummy service and it took them MONTHS to get my glasses delivered, and then the prescription was WRONG (Never go to Dr. Romeo Garza in LA). Anyhow, Teagle optometry had everything fixed to my proper prescription and the delivery received back from the lab in less than 5 business days. This place is great! Highly recommended. This place is great. My doctor, who I think his name was Don, was super nice and was super detailed with my check up. He told me everything I wanted to know, which is good, because my eyes are important to me. I also don't have insurance, and compared to other optometry businesses in Glendale, this was the best priced for a check up and a lens fitting. I thought the front desk people were nice too. Since this place is located in the Galleria, it's open until 9, which is great for me since I don't come back from work until after 7pm sometimes. read more

Went there last week with an appointment and was immediately taken cared of for all my eye exams by Dr. Teagle who is very knowledgable with his profession. They have all the gadgets and machine to check your eyes. Even had my eye x-rayed for any diabetic complication. They accepted my insurance and had a big discount for a new signature pair of glasses with all the features. I usually spend the same pair of glasses at LensCrafter triple the price. Irma is the best. I wouldn't want anyone else to help me. Some of them there have attitude and an unwillingness to help. So I always have Irma help me out. I was kind of annoying this time because when I got my sunglasses they seemed weird. I could not see well. Something was weird like I was looking through a fish eye or something hard to explain. So I requested to do an exchange. Irma gladly let me exchange and my new sunglasses are much better. I feel like the lens could have been darker bec I still squint at times, but if they were darker they may bother me more when it's not that bright out so not sure how I feel on that. They do not have enough sunglasses. The ones they do have are really pricey. I would love if they had a better selection in the 100-200 dollar price range. Though, because Irma is awesome she did a really good job keeping me in my price range and showing me everything they had to offer. Just get more selection so I don't have to find another place to go to. read more

Had a great experience here. Angelina was patient thorough informative and kind. I gave them 3 pairs of glasses that I needed updated. Not only did they do them fast (1day) the quality is amazing. I paid way more before and had bad quality. The clarity of my lenses is another level. And on top of all this, after I dropped off my order, I was in the mall and my contact fell out and on the ground. I was screwed I figured I'll go buy a pack from them since they have my prescription, I walked in Angelina heard me from the back telling the doctor my lens fell out , she walked out with one for me. Teagle optometry was recommended to me by my bestie. I've never had glasses before, this was my first eye visit in about 8 years. When I called to schedule, the woman on the phone was very helpful and answered all my insurance questions. When I came in for my appointment I was greeted by Doctor Teagle who preformed my exam. He was very patient and thorough, and addressed all of my concerns. He also laid out all of my insurance options concisely which I appreciated, and when I chose to only do what was covered by my insurance there was no pressure. I had an equally positive experience choosing my eyewear. I was told my glasses would be ready in a week, I got a phone call two days later that they were ready for me. I went with the insurance covered plastic lenses and have since decided to switch to polycarbonate. I called on Thursday to ask if this was possible, they gave me a discount on the switch and estimated the lenses would be ready on Monday. Again, I just got a phone call that my lenses are ready and waiting for me (Saturday). I'm really impressed and feel very well taken care of by everyone I've worked with here. There was a lot I needed explained to me and everyone did so graciously and patiently. I highly recommend Teagle optometry. read more
