Jasmine green milk tea, tiger boba fresh milk, and mango smoothie with golden boba
    Babette C.

They don't have a lot of choices, probably because it's a small kitchen but they do a good job with what they make and that's all they need to do. This is no frills business, baby! I got the Tiger boba fresh milk and it's super sweet, so next time I'll go half sweet. They finally got in a few tables with chairs, so that's a big improvement. The only thing I have against them is that they stuff all their supplies in a tiny hall off the side and it's a little third worldly. If they would just put a curtain over it it would bring up the vibe a smidge. Their employees are very matter of fact and do their jobs right, but they're not friendly and I was fine with it since this business is definitely about getting your order and leaving. They don't do cash, but they're got Clover so credit card or smart pay will do just fine.

I had the banana matcha! It was good! I couldn't find any other matcha place nearby and glad I found it.

Okay, I gotta say..LaBoba is the best boba I've found in Lacey so far!…read moreI've been on the hunt for a yummy boba spot ever since moving to Washington a little over a month ago, and I can confidently say this is the best one I've tried in Lacey so far. Even better, it's only about a 15 minute drive from home for me, so I already know I'll be coming back regularly! The shop was starting to get busy when I first arrived with my kiddo, and by the time we settled down in the back with our orders brought to us, all the tables had filled up. Despite the busyness, the atmosphere still felt relaxed and welcoming, giving off vibes that encourages you to actually sit and enjoy your drink without feeling rushed, if you decide to stay. They even have board games available if you want to hang out a bit longer. The service here is spectacular!! The staff is incredibly friendly and attentive. You can tell because they take their time with you (no pressure when ordering) and are more than happy to answer questions. I ordered the crème brûlée milk tea, which already comes with boba and crème brûlée foam, but I was curious about the ube foam too. The staff member walked me through all my options and helped me land on a half crème brûlée, half ube foam combo, which ended up being so creamy and delicious. I appreciate them being so patient with me because I can be a little indecisive with what I want lol. My son ordered the Thai tea with boba and tried the ube foam for the first time. He felt like the foam was a bit overpowering for his drink (all you could see was ube foam after he mixed his drink instead of the standard orange Thai tea), but honestly, I loved how generous they were with it for our drinks. If you're an ube fan, you won't be disappointed! We also shared a crème brûlée croiffle, and wowwee, that was a treat that totally hit the spot for my sweet tooth. The sauce was rich, sweet, and creamy, making it the perfect dessert to go along with our drinks. Once again, the staff did not disappoint and I was pleased how attentive they remained throughout our visit. They even promptly cleared our trash and plates without us having to ask, which just reiterates how on top of their customer service they are. First visit was such a great experience! Delicious drinks, amazing service, and a cozy vibe. I am totally returning and I'd absolutely recommend this spot to anyone looking for a quality boba place in the area!

They make it very clear that they are open -- the lights are bright, and as soon as you walk in, the staff is already prepared to take your order at the front counter. They were also actively cleaning tables to make sure customers had a place to sit. The seating was nicer than what you usually see in typical boba shops. The regular chairs had padding with a suede-like material, which made them super comfortable. They also have a bench-style seating area where you can sit back and relax. Overall, the space felt very living room-esque. As for the boba, it was great -- soft, chewy, and cooked well. The milk tea was sweet just the way that I like it, and I did not even have to specify a sweetness level; I just got the standard. The ice level was also perfect -- not too much -- so I actually got a full drink instead of mostly ice. I rated this place five stars mainly because of the staff. They were extremely attentive. I brought in outside food (not sure if that is technically allowed...oops), but they went out of their way to bring me a ladle, utensils, and chopsticks so I could choose what I preferred. I did not feel uncomfortable to ask for anything, and their overall energy made it feel like I could genuinely hang out with them one-on-one. They were watchful, friendly, and easygoing. I also thought it was adorable that they have a big statue of their mascot in the middle of the shop -- it really gives personality to the place and lets you know exactly where you are.

I'm rating Boba and Beyond based on my overall experience and, of course, the taste of the boba…read more I recently moved to the area from California, so I'll admit my boba expectations might be a little high. This place had great reviews, so I was excited to try it. Overall, I'd say it reminds me of T4 -- it's just okay. When I walked in, there was no one inside and only one staff member working. It wasn't busy at first, but a line quickly started forming. With just one employee making drinks, it didn't seem ideal for handling multiple customers, so you may end up waiting a bit during busier moments. I ordered the matcha taro cloud with boba -- two flavors I really love together. The milk tea itself was actually pretty good. It wasn't watery and had a nice consistency. However, the employee forgot to add boba to both my drink and the customer after me. I had already walked out and taken a few sips before realizing it was missing, so I had to go back in to get it added. She was apologetic and I appreciate that she promptly fixed it. The boba itself ended up a little underwhelming. I might just be used to the soft, honey boba from Bober Tea, but this one tasted firmer than I prefer. I personally like my boba softer. I do wish the quality of the boba was better and that my order had been accurate from the start. Still, it seems like a nice, simple spot for basic boba -- and it's conveniently located right next to Safeway, so it's easy to grab a drink before or after doing your grocery shopping. Would I come back? Maybe, but I'd probably manage my expectations next time.

The service is quick and speedy, they are kind and tell you their offerings. I got two bubble tea drinks. One milk and one strawberry. The strawberry is fine, the milk is fine too but the tea is different than what I'm used to. It's more of a deeper bitter black tea. Not horrible but surprise taste and not that sweet. Which is fine for me. They have the bubble waffles and the house specials look interesting. Especially the mango lassi and it appears they serve dumplings too if the pictures are any indication. I like this place, it's nice and bright and a good place to study/work and get a snack. I think with more business and expansion of the menu, it would skyrocket. I won't lie, when I saw the lassi on the menu, I had hoped for a rich chai too because we don't get that around here. I have to make it on my own now. Also, while it appears they can steam and waffle, a savory waffle and maybe savory steamed buns would be good.

I had been shopping at Fred Meyer for some alcohol, and as I was leaving I noticed Fresh Pho is literally right next door. That alone convinced me to try it, especially since this location shares space with Tealand. You're telling me I can grab pho *and* boba in one stop? Sign me up! This is actually the first pho spot I've tried since moving to Washington, and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. Of course, it's nowhere near the same level as homemade pho, but for restaurant-quality pho it definitely satisfied the craving. I ordered a small pho dac biet for takeout, so I can't really comment on other menu items or the full service experience. That said, the restaurant looked clean inside and had some cute lantern decorations that added a nice Asian vibe. The employee who took my order was polite as well. One positive thing I noticed was that the servers appeared to be young, and they were speaking Vietnamese, which I low-key feel like should be a requirement when working at a Vietnamese restaurant anyway so at least I know I'm somewhat receiving the authentic Vietnamese restaurant experience. My pho was packaged neatly for takeout, so nothing spilled during the trip home. It came with two packets of hoisin sauce, two packets of Sriracha, and the usual side of bean sprouts, mint leaves, lime, and green onions that typically come with pho. The portion size was solid too. There was a generous amount of meat and broth--my bowl was actually filled to the brim. I managed to finish everything though, and my stomach was definitely satisfied. All in all, I'd say this was a great first pho experience in Washington. I'd definitely come back again when I'm craving a warm bowl of soup.
