I didn't realize I was craving pho until I came across Fresh Pho. Something about the simplistic name combined with cold weather just hits the spot when it comes to soup. I had been shopping at Fred Meyer for some alcohol, and as I was leaving I noticed Fresh Pho is literally right next door. That alone convinced me to try it, especially since this location shares space with Tealand. You're telling me I can grab pho *and* boba in one stop? Sign me up! This is actually the first pho spot I've tried since moving to Washington, and I'm happy to say it didn't disappoint. Of course, it's nowhere near the same level as homemade pho, but for restaurant-quality pho it definitely satisfied the craving. I ordered a small pho dac biet for takeout, so I can't really comment on other menu items or the full service experience. That said, the restaurant looked clean inside and had some cute lantern decorations that added a nice Asian vibe. The employee who took my order was polite as well. One positive thing I noticed was that the servers appeared to be young, and they were speaking Vietnamese, which I low-key feel like should be a requirement when working at a Vietnamese restaurant anyway so at least I know I'm somewhat receiving the authentic Vietnamese restaurant experience. My pho was packaged neatly for takeout, so nothing spilled during the trip home. It came with two packets of hoisin sauce, two packets of Sriracha, and the usual side of bean sprouts, mint leaves, lime, and green onions that typically come with pho. The portion size was solid too. There was a generous amount of meat and broth--my bowl was actually filled to the brim. I managed to finish everything though, and my stomach was definitely satisfied. Sis and I came here because we love the Ding Tea attached to this business and she had a craving for something Asian. She got the beef bowl and I got the Mam sauced wings. She liked the bowl well enough and it was a really generous portion of food. I didn't get to try it because there were peanuts all over it which I'm allergic to. She said it was fine, but she likes Pho Hoa better as far as flavor is concerned. Now for the wings- they were okay. The menu made it sound like they'd be tossed in sauce, but there was very little of it. Were they running out, or was the sauce more of a marinade that the chicken sits in, because I could barely taste it. Because of that, they were very plain tasting. Glad I didn't order more because I'd probably be disappointed. The service was minimal. You seat yourself and a guy comes out, makes no attempt at rapport, which I'm fine with, but it also was to the point that he seemed unhappy to be there. Tried their special pho which included: steak, brisket, meatball, tripe, and tendon. I have to say their meats were very fresh including tripe and tendon. At some other pho places, tendon and tripe can taste a bit funky. But not here. And the soup was light and flavorful without being too salty. Excellent! Got some takeout pho on the way home. Really the pho was delicious and the staff were super welcoming. I'd give it a 5 star BUT when my husband opened the plate to his pho, there was a tiny hair. Like the hair after a beard trim. It was tiny and right on top of the tendon.... sooo -1 star. But I will 100% be going back. The biggest obstacles for this shop to me was that the tea shop is also there and the counters are a bit confusing where to order takeout. Staff i first got on the pho side also seemed newer but they were super nice, someone was there to help them, and there were no mistakes with the order. A lovely experience. I came here for lunch and there's a couple things that I wasn't impressed with, but overall majority I liked it. We ordered the fried egg rolls, the specialty spring roll, the regular spring roll, the stir fried egg noodles, and the shaking beef. I also requested a bowl of their broth. Let's start with the main dishes. The shaking beef was well cooked. It was tender pieces of meat and the vegetables were not soggy. It tastes great but was a little surprised that the citrus taste was so light. The egg noodles were good, but heavy on the carrots and cabbage which seemed slightly over cooked. Out of all the egg rolls we tried, get the specialty. Their sausage they use is delicious! Really brings the whole roll together. Finally, the broth. The broth is light, fragrant, almost floral. I was a little confused because I asked for the broth they used in their beef pho but I supposed marrying the two would make it tasty. It was also a little sweet which I thought was interesting. I normally would use a pinch of sugar but this seemed to purposely be a bit more. If you're looking for decent Vietnamese food, try this place out. They have a couple of diamonds in their menu that's definitely worth trying. read more

Delicious food! My husband says it's the best Pho place in Lacey lol. The fresh rolls are awesome, I'm not a fan of peanut sauce but putting hoisin sauce on is perfect. I got the chicken pho because I wanted to try something new, but the chicken was very bland, so next time I'll just be getting the steak pho. This is a relatively new business, 3 month's or so i believe here at the location by Fred Meyer off college street. They have a simple but clean modern decor, plenty of seating but not on top of each other. I counted tables and chairs and 40 people could be sitting to eat at once. Plus off to the left when you walk in you have a boba counter, so if you are not in the mood to eat you can always just grab a Boba . The food was pretty good, not excellent but definitely above average. The service was friendly and helpful but obviously still new and trying to do well. Vermicelli bowls, shaking beef, fried rice, Pho, and beef stir fry. All were prepared well. I would repeat here for sure. read more

I ordered this place from doordash, and I was very excited about getting the seafood for. The instructions on doordash said to be specific to the restaurant that you would like the food cooked otherwise it will be served raw when delivered to you. I specified in my delivery instructions that I wanted the food to all be cooked prior to its delivery to me. I was excited about this specific doordash because it said that since the item had not had pictures listed, if I listed nice pictures and my item was selected for the menu then I would get a $3 credit. First of all this is a gimmick, secondly I ate the pho after having to dress it up, the broth was extremely plain, everything else was way under seasoned and just thrown together. I got four of some fishy smelling type spongy balls, three pieces of shrimp, and four clams. I ate the pho and within hours I was violently sick with the worst case of food poisoning I have ever had in my entire life. I not only was vomiting I soiled myself through the night and had a fever that did not break into the next day. I tried pepto-bismol, and others to try to help me, this really sucked because I literally had just moved into my new apartment and was hoping to celebrate the night by enjoying this far. I messed up new furniture, and could not get myself off of the ground to stop throwing up. I had to lay in my bed in 39° weather with the window open with my head and my waistbasket literally hurling bile and it was so painful. I had no idea that I could contact doordash and ask for a refund, however after searching for days for an answer, doordash expected me to submit photos in order to be reimbursed for the meal. first time ever eating here. I ordered some shrimp and vegetable rolls with peanut sauce. The sauce was water, hoisen sauce, sugar, and chunks of peanuts, not peanut sauce in any way shape or form and was too liquid. The rolls were made up of two pieces of shrimp one piece of leaf lettuce, and noodles. There were no cucumbers. There was no cilantro. There was no basil. There was a round tubular straw like chip that was crammed down the middle. It was awful. I would never order these again. i want my money back. read more

Service is friendly and prompt, the flavor of the Pho broth is so good, Bahn Mi and Rice Bowls/Plate are also great, restaurant and restrooms are clean. The design is nice inside. Read reviews for this place a while back and it seems like there were several reviews that kinda made me want to avoid the place. Recently I was in the area and had some time to burn and decided to try if out and see if maybe people just had a bad experience at the time. Several months have passed and I was hoping for improved quality and service. The place is nice and new inside with modern design and decor. The service was okay, very minimal. Decided to go with Shaking Beef, Wonton Noodle Soup and Jasmine Tea. The tea is served in a cute black tea pot...we got small black cups that matched the pot, but noticed other tables getting what looked to be more like coffee cups with theirs. The tea was fresh and fragrant at first, but as it continued to steep as you sip little cup by little cup, the tea in the pot gets strong and bitter. They also need to filter their water. Glasses of water taste like chlorinated tap water. The Shaking Beef was a little on the small size for portion. The beef was tender, however it did not pack much flavor. The Wonton Noodle Soup was lacking depth of flavor...the broth was a pale yellow color, I am thinking its a possibility that the yellowness of the broth stems from the egg noodles--not sure if they use a different broth for this soup than for their Pho, most places usually use the same broth...if they do use the same broth I would assume that their Pho lacks some serious flavor. I asked for chili oil and when it came to the table it appeared to be mostly chili flakes in the dish...not much oil--almost like they just keep adding flakes to the dish and not refilling with more freshly made oil. It was lacking depth of flavor as well. I did not feel that this dish was a good example of "Fresh Pho" as their was nothing "fresh" about it. The pork in the soup tasted old and the shrimp tasted farmed. In every other restaurant I have ordered this dish it was served with the same toppings as Pho--basil, bean sprouts, etc.; but not here. In the end, I would say it ended up being a waste of money as my stomach did not agree with the food...barely made it to Fred Meyer to do some shopping before my stomach decided the food had to go. What a great new place in Lacey. The atmosphere was really nice and inviting. The staff was kind, considerate and provided excellent customer service. They had a nice menu and everything we ordered was super delicious. My son ordered the chicken pho, my daughter ordered the tofu vermicelli bowl and I ordered the tofu bahn mi sandwich. My sandwich was really tasty, though I did have to ask for extra cilantro, I like lots of veggies on my sandwich. What's also convenient is Ding Tea shop is located in the restaurant, so you can enjoy boba and delicious food the same time. It's our first time here at fresh pho. Just wanted to check out the place and I'm glad we did. Let's start with the food. They don't have much on the menu but everything they have are pho favorites and they are really fresh! The soup taste like home made and as my husband says "it taste like just how grandma would made it!" The fried rice has a good mix of meat and vegetables not to mention that it is not oily. Their milk tea is not cheap but i guess it's because each cup is well crafted bursting with flavors. The golden tapioca tastes like soft gummy bears said my son. Came after seeing a new pho restaurant on Yelp and I'm so glad I came. This restaurant shares the location with ding tea so it's a plus to be able to get pho and boba in one spot. I ordered a nem nuong roll and bun bo hue. This is really good bun bo hue! It actually has the blood patty (I'm not sure what it's called). Most places don't serve it. The broth is good. I didn't really need to add anything to make it tasty. My kids shared a steak pho and my bf got a pho special. He really enjoyed his broth as well. We also ordered 2 orders of their spring rolls. This new pho restaurant next to Fred Meyer is one we had to check out. So glad we did, the food is really good. When we sat down, our table was wobbling and the waitress who came to get our order noticed it right away. Instead of moving us to another table, she got underneath the table and fixed it! Our orders came quickly and the meal was a treat. We started with fresh spring rolls, the grilled pork with pickled carrots and daikon, perfection! Spouse said his Pho Tai Bo Vien or steak and meatball pho had good flavor and a generous portion of noodles. They have Banh Mi sandwiches, along with a good selection of pho and fried rice dishes. Best Pho I have had in Washington State. I moved from the Twin Cities, MN to WA, and have struggled to find the best pho. My husband and I stopped here while running errands in town. We drove from Ocean Shores and were famished. They are located in a shopping center. They don't really stand out since they are at a corner. There is plenty of free parking. You walk in, and there is a Bubble Tea cashier station and a Pho cashier station. Go to the Pho station and get seated. We both ordered the large Pho. I ordered the Pho Thai with raw beef. My husband ordered the large Pho with beef and meatballs. We also ordered a fresh spring roll appetizer. The sauce was balanced with sweet and salty peanut based. The fresh rolls were well wrapped and good-sized. The Pho: The broth either makes or breaks the Pho, and they have perfected it! The pho broth is hard to master. They did it. The broth is so good that you don't need to add anything to it. There is a perfect balance of beefiness, salty, savory, hot, with notes of onions, ginger, and garlic. The portion was larger than I expected. Pho is not good when leftover if you have raw beef slices or rice noodles soaking in broth for a long time. The beef steak slices were thin and tender. The pho came with lime wedges, Cilantro, onions, and bean sprouts. There is a Vietnamese Sriracha on the table of you are like me and want more heat. There aren't really any other condiments on the table such as salt, pepper, soy sauce, fish sauce, or hoisin sauce. However, you won't need any of these. The broth was balanced. I am a savory Pho lover and don't like mine sweet. Northern Vietnamese Pho is the best! Southern Vietnamese pho is sweeter. The only condiment I would have liked is chili oil. I would order the broth to go every day if I lived closer. The broth was clear, and I can tell it was made with love. The rice noodles were perfectly blanched and still had a chew. It's not too soft and not too hard. The meatballs were firm and flavorful. The condiments were fresh. If you happen to crave something warm and healing during the cold, windy, and rainy WA winters.. Pho is the thing you need. The service: We went during a busy weekday during lunch. The service was quick. The food arrived within minutes. We did need water refills and it was slower but over all..
