Being the boba tea connoisseur that I am, I knew I had to check out the tea scene in Texas while I visited! I'm from Florida where the boba places are abundant and plenty, plus I work at a boba place so basically, I know my boba. I walk in and take a look at their menu, and let me tell you it is HUGE. You could come every day for a month and get a different flavor each time and STILL not try them all. Every time I go to a new place, I try either their black milk tea or taro. If their two basic flavors are good, I know that place is good. However, Tealicious left something to be desired. I tried their taro milk tea with boba and on the first sip I really liked it! Decent taro milk tea and great boba. The problem is not soon after, I developed a stomachache. Way too heavy on the milk. I'm not lactose intolerant or anything and I've had a LOT of taro milk tea in my lifetime, and this is the only time I've gotten a stomachache. Also, I noticed a couple signs around the place that caused me to deduct another star. At the boba place I work at, we place our customers first. If you don't like your drink we'll gladly make you a new one or refund you. Also we combine stamp cards if a customer doesn't have their current one on them. However, at Tealicious they don't allow exchanges if you don't like your drink. So basically if you don't like what you got you wasted your money. And if you forget your stamp card one day you can't combine it on another. I don't know, in my opinion that's kind of cheap. My brother and sister in law live here in Texas and they really liked it though, so I guess it's a bit of a win...? read more

This place seems rather enjoyable and if this didn't happen during my first experience with this cafe. I tried the smoothie I had ordered and realized that the drink was way too sweet for me. I asked the cashier if I could have another remade and she refused to even take my cup. She said and I quote: "next time you can order the drink with 50 or 75 % sugar". I found this to be highly disrespectful and am infuriated that I had to deal with this situation. read more

This is a really hip place for San Antonio, Texas. The Café has the same items you can purchase in China Town in Houston or New York City. On my way home today I was in the mood for a smoothie so I figured I'd stop by and see what this place is about. There were three people behind the counter and not one person greeted me as I walked in. The two cashiers were in the middle of a conversation and continued talking as I approached. Although I had never been I knew exactly what I wanted, and although the cashiers had stopped talking, it appeared they were too busy to help me. There was one person cleaning a counter behind them as well, we made eye contact several times but she too did not say a word to me, nor alert the cashiers. These young boys were inside as well looking and talking beside a detailed menu on a wall to right. One boy then approached the register in front of me and was about to be helped by a cashier. I left. At best, the cashiers were in the middle of an important conversation and may not have noticed me walking in. Then, thinking the boys were the only people in the store, continued doing whatever they were doing. The girl in the back may have assumed I wasn't ready, and could not speak English to ask if I needed help. Regardless of the case, I don't plan on returning. I was REALLY in the mood for a smoothie and the service (Or lack thereof) left a bad taste in my mouth. read more

One of my favorite bubble tea spots. Everything tastes very fresh. My two favorites are watermelon and coconut. The prices are a but high but I will still make the trip once a month. San Antonio isn't exactly a bubble tea hotspot so I was pretty interested in trying this place out once it opened. It's also conveniently located close to my house, which is a plus. Upon walking in you're greeted by loud, thumping radio music and I couldn't help but notice how clean and sleek everything is, giving off a sort of modern vibe. They have a very extensive menu, one behind the cashier and one hung on the wall nearby, which is a good thing if you really don't know what to get and don't want to awkwardly stand there for five minutes at the cashier. From what I remember, they only sell drinks, not food. I ended up getting an almond green tea with tapioca and ended up paying half price because of their grand opening special, but they were only having it this past weekend. Without the discount it would have been around the four to five bucks range, which is still a reasonable price to pay for good bubble tea. Very friendly service, nice environment, convenient location...I'm glad I finally found a solid tapioca place in town that I can go to whenever the craving hits! read more

The menu on the wall behind the register is impossible to see. They do have a menu on the wall, though. The furniture is modern. They said that they usually use real taro, but ran out earlier today. I got coconut, taro (powder). They have little jars at the front with the choices for the sinker choices. The hours are mon-Thursday 9-9, fri/sat 9-10, and sun 10-8. The cashier was very friendly . The tapioca beads seem smaller than others I've had, but they were soft, but slightly chewy. there was still some ice that was not well blended in my but the overall flavor was good. read more

Don't waste your time going here. Full of small kids and college kids trying to do their homework in this small loud crowded place. I asked for a bubble tea and the cashier was really confused. This place rocks. Love the quality. The sinkers add a nice change of pace. Cream green tea with basil seed is my husbands fav. I love all The cream fruits but the crazy drink is my fav. Im a texture gal and there is plenty is this drink and as a bonus you get to eat the sinkers you missed once the drink is all gone. The coffee drinks are strong but good.
