I am visiting family from out of state where I can't get a pedicure due to COVID. The first place I called flat out refused me because I have not been here for two weeks. Then I called this place and let her know I'm from out of state and have my negative COVID results. Pleasant atmosphere, great service, great foot and leg massage. Lee was so kind. Just moved to town needed a pedicure seems you need an appointment everywhere here but this place could fit me in the same day and it's been a while so I decided to give them a shot. PROS: Clean, cheap at $35, good massage. Cons: wasn't offered a service menu or asked what kind of pedicure I wanted. They didn't clean under my nails, remove calluses or clean up my cuticles. There was old gel polish on my nails and when I pointed it out the man doing my pedicure said he couldn't see anything and filed the top of one nail and gave up. Didn't even go over them with acetone and seemed to have a bit of an attitude about it. The entire thing took about 20 minutes or less. I wouldn't recommend this place if you want a good pedicure, I could have done a better job at home for free. Felt like a waste of time and money. read more

I was traveling in Alaska, with a few days in Fairbanks. Made an appointment at Youd! for a manicure and pedicure. Lee did my gel manicure. This MANICURE LASTED LONGER THAN ANY I've ever had, and I've had at least 12 manicures a year for at least 30 years. (That's at least 360 manicures, if you didn't do the math). After four full weeks, there wasn't a single chip, split, crack, lift, or anything. so, kudos to Lee. The only reason i'm giving four stars instead of five is because the man who did my pedicure, Kevin, was argumentative. It could be my fault because I brought up politics. Still, you don't expect somebody to rudely disagree with you. He could just say I don't agree in a normal tone, or that he doesn't know anything about it and change the subject, or not discuss it. He gave me a bad feeling about the place. As others have said, the interior is beautiful. The plants are great and the whole thing has a relaxing vibe. read more

Great experience here yesterday with a young woman who did my nails (never got her name). She took me right on time, gave me her full attention, and did an amazing job! I got a shellac manicure for $35 and she had me out in 30 minutes with a great manicure and a great hand and arm massage. The facility is clean and tasteful. There are no harsh fumes and a tv screen playing a movie while you're getting your service! They even do a 10 day guarantee on shellac manicures. If anything happens to them in ten days, they fix it for free! That's a crazy good deal as my shellac usually starts to go right around the ten day mark. Just a tip, the entrance into the nail salon is the same entrance into the liquor store. I was thrown off by this! I will definitely be back!! read more

Wow, this little nail salon is impressive! I just moved to the area from California and am not used to needing an appointment for a pedicure, I called probably 6 or 7 salons and even though they were busy at Creative they made time to get me in which I am so appreciative of! It is so calm and relaxing inside, the live plants are gorgeous. It was very clean inside and the massage chair was the most comfortable I've ever been in. I didn't catch his name but he was awesome! The massage was absolutely amazing and my toes look great. I'm extremely ticklish so I can be pretty annoying to work on but he was patient with me! I will be back :) read more

I LOVE this place!!! I have pretty messed up hands and feet and they treat me awesome, they are so nice and efficient and the place is always impeccable!!! Kevin gives the best foot massages and Lee does the best nails!! My husband likes Lee to do his pedicures & she massages his feet perfectly, considering he's picky!! It was alright. They were quick. I'll give them that. I got a basic pedicure. But only because I didn't know there were different levels and they didn't ask or say anything. He seemed to rush through the whole thing. Didn't even scrape the callouses, which is a main reason I get pedis! I will say. His foot massage, for one of my feet, was heavenly. The other foot, it seemed to be a formality to touch it. The cutting of dead skin around my toenails was alright. But I still have some hard skin that I'll have to trim myself now. The paint job was decent. Some flaws, but at least it wasn't all over my skin. Three stars because it was a perfectly adequate, but nothing special pedicure. read more

If I had to choose, I would not go back to this place again. The interior of the shop is beautiful, with huge gorgeous plants! So many of them you forget you are in a nail salon. First of all, the salon is dark and when you try to pick out nail polish color, there is one little light above the nail polish stand. They kept telling me to pick out color, but hard to tell real color. No effort made to turn on more lights to be able to see! Go somewhere else! Pedicure was less than 30 mins. My feet still look dry, they didn't even ask what kind of pedicure I wanted just started. This happened to be the only open nail salon on the 4th of July so I figured I'd give it a shot. I was very impressed with the decor, it's cute with lots of flowery patterns and accents. It's a smaller shop with a cozy feel to it. I got a full set of acrylics and it only took 35-40 minutes, costed about $30 (standard for Fairbanks) and they are easily some of the best looking nails I've gotten in town. read more

After trying several places we found Youd creative nails. It has the most warm, soothing atmosphere. Kevin and Lee are the greatest people. My daughter and I have been going here for the last couple of years on a regular basis. That is every 6-8 weeks when not traveling. We have never been unhappy with the service and care we get. Now that the business is established I can't imagine a bad review. If there is remember - there's another side to the story. I look so forward to my time at creative nails. I can see this business from my office window. For a couple of months I danced about visiting for the inevitable pedi and waxing. Finally, I walked in and I immediately became a fan of Creative Nails: the ambiance, staff and services. I have since returned for more of the same services. I highly recommend this establishment for pedi and brow/lip waxing. I'm excitedly planning to venture into some new services with them like.. mani and some other waxings. Absolutely the worst full set I've ever had. I got gel nails that were French tip. I asked for a black line between the white and the nail bed and never have I been so unhappy with the result. Not only do I look like I have Japanese symbols on my fingers rather than a straight black line, they are not fully polished and there are bubbles all over my whole nails. When asked about this, the lady got very upset and my nails still look absolutely horrible. Worst $45 I have spent. read more
