Dr. Pommerehn treated me and I highly recommend him for your conditions. As a result of his care, I have avoided surgery and I am back in the gym with little to no discomfort and improving. Their staff is friendly and Dr. Zhao is also extremely helpful and knowledgeable as his partner. I am grateful that I came across this practice and I encourage anyone to seek treatment and preventative care. Thanks Chicago InHealth Team!

I have had some medical issues that I have not been able to resolve for the past few years. Having tried Western medicine and holistic methods, I decided to try out acupuncture. I was not sure where to find a good acupuncturist (other than Chinatown). I really wanted someone I could communicate my problems to and who could communicate with me so that I could understand everything. Dr. Zhao was the answer to my problems. She speaks English and some Mandarin! I had told Dr. Zhao that it was my first time to acupuncture and told her my problems. She explained everything thoroughly to me and put me at ease by answering all my questions without any judgment. She was very soft spoken, calm, and friendly. During the procedure, I was worried about pain with the needles, but I barely felt a thing! It was very relaxing! Dr. Zhao was able to pinpoint all the tender areas on my body (that I did not even know were tender to the touch)! She is that good! Dr. Zhao was able to relate my tender areas to my medical problem. There are many rooms at this center, and everything looked very clean. While I was resting w/the needles in me, Dr. Zhao put on a heater to warm me up and also some spa music to relax me. I was so relaxed I almost fell asleep! Chicago Whole Health Center accepts insurance. Before I made my appointment, I spoke with the other doctor, Dr. Graham Pommerehn, who called my insurance (Blue Cross Blue Shield) for me to see if acupuncture was covered under my insurance plan. He called me back to let me know what my insurance allowed under my plan. Super nice!!! The only thing I needed to pay was a co-payment. Awesome! Best of all, they are open late until 7pm! The building is very large so you can't miss it. There is plenty of street parking in the area for $1.75/hr.

They don't just go through the motions--they take the time to listen, explain, and make sure you understand every step of the process. What really stood out to me was how knowledgeable everyone is. You can tell they truly know what they're doing, and that gave me a lot of confidence in my recovery. They created a plan that was tailored to me and pushed me just enough to make real progress without feeling overwhelmed. Honestly, the results feel almost like a miracle. When I first came in, my shoulder was in rough shape, and I wasn't sure how much better it could get. Now, it feels significantly stronger and more mobile--I'm beyond grateful. I truly owe my improvement to the amazing team at Cora. If you're looking for a place that combines professionalism, kindness, and real results, I can't recommend Cora Physical Therapy enough. Perhaps once a year or so, one of my leg muscles or somewhere in my knee joint would flare up during training and slow my running nearly to a halt. The experience was always incredibly demoralizing. And perhaps more demoralizing was the fact that repeated bouts of physical therapy didn't seem to prevent the issue from occurring in the future. It always felt like something was missing, so I searched around for an expert that could help me piece it together. I sat down with Jason for my initial evaluation, prepared for another month long routine of stretching and glute strengthening exercises. But even within the first half hour of meeting me, Jason was already subverting my expectations. He effortlessly identified a lack of hip mobility and tight quads -- the ultimate "etiology" of the knee pain as he called it. He sent me off with some hip mobilization exercises, and when I came back soon after he offered to dry needle my quads. The difference these two changes made were night-and-day. The nightmare of another month of PT had vanished in an instant, and I was back to running nearly pain-free. And what's more so is that the results have lasted. A few short weeks in Jason's care, and I've been back to the running grind nearly flawlessly for months on end now. Jason is truly different than other PTs I've worked with in the past. He clearly has a remarkable level of experience and a principled approach to rehabilitation that yields sustained results. I am incredibly happy I chose Jason for my PT and would highly recommend him to other runners.

I had rotator cuff surgery 6 months prior and wasn't quite comfortable with my current progress, or lack there of. The owner, Dahlia, took a look at my shoulder, did about 10mins worth of massaging and joint mobility movements and I immediately had a significant amount of range of motion than I started with. After leaving I called the location closest to my home and made an appointment. Dahlia had already called the location to give them the heads up that I would be calling and to inform them of what she felt I specifically needed to improve my recovery. Since my first appointment with Dan I have seen a tremendous amount of improvement in such a short amount of time. I can tell Dan cares about my recovery as much as I do. He takes the time to listen and figure out what it is that might be causing any issues or concerns I might be having. I am truly confident in his knowledge and ability to get my shoulder back to where it needs to be! Additionally, the rest of the staff have been nothing but pleasant and engaged in ensuring the exercises I do are being done correctly. Overall, I would highly recommend this place for any and all your physical therapy needs!

His initial intention…read morewas to go to the gold coast location because it is closer to his residence in the Mag Mile/Gold Coast area. Because there weren't any rooms available at that particular time, (I guess because they are usually pretty full- who knows) they promised him that they could accommodate him in one week later and offer him a room at the South Loop location until that time. When I visited him there for the first time I was really confused because it looks like the hotel. I thought maybe I was in the wrong building. His therapy went really well and the care was second to none. This is what I felt and this is what his family felt. He really did not want to leave when his room at the Gold Coast location was available in fact he stayed a week longer. I think that says a lot about the place and the staff. He only agreed to switch locations because it it was closer to his family and friends who mostly don't drive. Bottom line is that he was treated with the utmost care by the staff and I feel like they went above and beyond every day to make his life better and to ultimately get him back home. The one drawback that I remember is that, at the time, there was a brand-new therapy gym under construction that he didn't get to use. His therapy quality was not affected though because he was improving the heck of a lot every time I saw him. I saw him 2 times a week if i recall coreectly Im going to to go back to check on the therapy gym...just out of curiosity :)
