Six years ago, after the intensity of several competition seasons of rhythmic gymnastics, we were ready for a fun and friendly environment for our daughter to do sports and we chose fencing at Team Touche, not too far from our house. And fun she had! Six years later, every night, she is still excited to go to practice at TTFC. And as an additional bonus, along the way, in March, she became the 2019 US National Champion in Women's Foil in the cadet and Junior categories. And now at 16 years old, she is ranked as one of the top women's foil fencers in the country and this season, she has represented the US at international fencing competitions (World Cups. Grand Prix) on both Senior and Junior USA National Teams. Coach Tedd is simply amazing! His unique coaching style combines friendliness and fun with top world-class fencing expertise. I am proud to be part of Team Touché. I have ALWAYS been interested in fencing and decided to give it a try. I can be found here at least twice a week now. I am an adult and am one of the few adult beginners here. Yes, the beginners class for adults is with the teenage group; however, if more adults attended this would not be the case and the skill level is the same, so it really doesn't matter. The coaches are knowledgeable with YEARS of experience behind them. In class, they are more than happy to step aside with you for further explanation. I love this studio. My daughter has been fencing here for 5 years since she was 8. She says she fences for fun as well as to win. I have always liked the fun spirit at this club. Coach Tedd fosters the fun as well as the work necessary to build good fencers. I was most proud of my girl at a tournament today. She came in 2nd place after going up against some really good fencers without hesitation, was always the first to extend a hand and congratulate her opponents (win or lose), and made sure to tell her friends who were competing how well they did after their bouts. Took my son here for a bday party and he had so much fun! Ted, the instructor, was incredibly funny and entertaining!! This place is awesome! I took the adult class, to be honest the others in the class is mostly kids but they can still completely kick my novice butt in fencing so it's really not a problem. The instructors are all really friendly and the lessons are reasonably priced. Only complaints: (1) they need to have someone always manning the front desk, especially to tell their newer clients where to go (2) they play a lot of games which are great for kids to learn but as an adult...i could do without them Definitely try it out, I'll give them 5 stars when they work out the two kinks I mentioned. read more

we continued to take classes here for the past year and it has been a blast for our son. Our friends who enroll their kids also love it. The classes are getting bigger and Coach Increases the staffing. Despite the size, Coaches spend 1:1 time with focused teaching through out. There are warm up drills in the beginning of each class followed by group teaching. The gear looks so cool, but the kds heat up amd sweat with the activities. Every time I take my son home, his head is drenched in sweat. Plenty of girls in these classes too. Building is hard to find if it is your first time. It is next to ACV motors. Skip the builing out front, team fencing is behind that. Drive slow on sorreno road or you might miss the turn. It s directly across from the after school learning tree. read more

My son started at Team Touch when he was 6 years old. They have made it a fun learning experience for him, which has kept him motivated and eager to achieve new heights. He's now 10 years old and has been coached by several of their highly skilled coaches; Tedd, Raul, Alex, Max and Joanne, each with their own style, who have produced some of the word class fencers. Their facility is right off the I-5 with easy access and has a large training area with several strips. They are teaching all three weapons at this club with a good amount of training hours for each weapon offered throughout the week. Their staffing hours are great and there's almost always someone at the front desk helping with anything from picking up the phone when you call to answering questions when you're there. Should you need to work while waiting, they have an excellent office space, which is isolated from the fencing area with free WiFi. We're happy to have chosen this club and would highly recommend it to anyone who wants to see their child excel in fencing. read more

Our family has been on a quest to find a good fencing studio in Southern California since we recently moved from Central California. This studio was recommended, so we spent a week observing and watching the coaches and students in action. This is a good studio with quality teaching. I like that they offer the different types of fencing. The students seemed to be enjoying themselves. The downside? It's far from where we live. So we didn't sign up. read more

Was there last week competition, was running very unprofessional, was delay for 2 hour. my son was fencing Y10 Sabre and they force me to lease spare Sabre for $20 I never used that Sabre and never saw in any competition even on national level, I think this was just rip off from not only us but for lot of kids. I saw lot of people who did not like it. I will newer go to that club anymore. Not recomendet. read more

I have been fencing epee at Team Touche for about 2 years. This is a great fencing club with top notch facilities, and experienced and dedicated coaches. Touche has coaching and programs to fit fencers of all abilities from recreational to competitive at the highest level. The fees are comparable to other clubs of this caliber. There are a number of excellent fencing clubs in San Diego but I believe Team Touche is the best. read more

My daughter has been with Team Touche for a little over a year now. We absolutely love it! There is fantastic instruction and enthusiasm on the part of the coaches. The front office support is extremely friendly and helpful. Everyone is there to help each other. They encourage and generate a great team spirit which spills over at the tournaments.
