But we were facing a variety of costly solutions. I remembered seeing Experimax and gave them a call just to see if they had any ideas. Ivan was so helpful and said they certainly could put in a new hard drive and the top line OS for the vintage of this iMac. I dropped it off at 3 pm and by 4:30, they called that it was ready to pick up. Just $150! We brought it home and set it up and it runs as good as new. We are long time Mac owners and have never had a problem like this that we couldn't solve on our own. and we knew a replacement of any type would be costly. I was unsuccessful with a previous computer store, located on Ogden ave, figuring out the reason my…read morehigh end gaming PC would crash while running games. They ran their tests, charged me a fee and could not replicate the failure. Once I got the computer home, it crashed once the game was being played and they said they did everything they could and I was out of luck. I decided months later to see Adam at nerd rangers. He was very thorough in gaining background on the issue. He asked me whether the other repair shop tried to run the actual game? I was not sure so he went ahead and loaded Fortnite and said he would do his best to replicate the issue. Later that day he reached out to let me know that he believes he found the reason the game crashed (as it did for him) and he felt confident that he fixed the issue. When I went to pick up the computer he reassured me that if for some reason the fix didn't work he would continue to work with me to identify the problem.
